My iPod touch says Disabled: Connect to iTunes, and everytime I try it doesn't work. How do I fix this?

I changed my password, and without knowing it, I typed the wrong numbers, and now I don't know my password. I've tried to connect to iTunes, but it doesn't seem to work. It only brings up the USB cable needs to be connected to iTunes on my iPod screen. Does anyone know how to fix this, because it's frustrating.

Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

i have a passcode on my ipod touch 4th generation and it says disabled connect to itunes, but when i connect to itunes it come up to insert the passcode on the ipod before i can do anything with it through itunes. i tried turning it on and off but that didn't do anything and i held in on the hold button and the home button the same time to reset it or whatever that does cause i seen it on google, but that didn't do anything either. please help

     If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
     below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
     simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
     same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (if You Forget Your Passcode)
If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). You can try, but the problem with that is you need battery power in order to restore. Once your phone has enough power to restore, it will still show the same message. To get the phone into either recovery mode or DFU mode requires the ability to first turn the phone off. But, you've got nothing to lose, so you might as well give it a shot.

Delete the song (move it to the Trash) and download it again under iTunes Store>Quick Links>Purchased>Music>Songs>Not in My Library.
