My Ipod Touch won't let me download apps or log in
I just got it and it won't let me download apps. I even made another ID. It keeps saying "Password or Apple ID is incorrect" or it will say "cannot connect to ITunes" and if it doesn't say either one of these it says "An Unknown Error occured" I restored it twice. Changed my password like 5 times (I know I'm entering it right). My iTunes is up to date. and it's iPod Touch 4g. Any help??

Have you tried resetting the iPOd?
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. -
My ipod touch 4g keeps telling me that I have too many photos and videos and will not let me download apps. I have deleted all the photos and videos and some of my old apps but it keeps telling me the same message. It appears that there is something incorrect with your billing information. You need to correct it. For a standard account you need a valid payment method even for free apps. You can however create a new account that is only good for apps by:

What country's Store are you using?
The two have to be the same and the payment method for your account also has to be associated (billing address, where iTunes gift card was purchased) with that country.
Has the ID(s) worked before for purchases for this country's store? -
My iPod touch 4G 8GB, lets me download apps on iTunes, but when I go to my iPod, and then apps, the entire selection is grey and won't let me click my new apps to add to my iPod. Usually I just restore my ipod and re-download everything, but thats time consuming, and after I unplug my ipod from the cord connected to my computer, I can replug it right after and this will pop up again. What can I do?I would say that you are not connected to the iTunes library you last synced with. You can only sync with one iTunes library. If you connect the iPod to another computer/another iTunes library then you get what you see.
You can only manually manage music and videos among different libraries, not apps. -

Error 1004 and 1013: These errors may be the result of the connection to gs.apple.com being redirected or blocked. Follow these steps to resolve these errors:

I have a son and daughter that are getting a ipod touch tomorrow or Friday depending when I get all the controls set in place so I have a few questions and if I post in the wrong forum then mods please move them to the proper forums if necessary. I am new to the forums and this will be my first post. Here we go.
My Kids and I have always shared our music on our previous ipods which weren't touch ipods so we need to be able to share the music but I need to figure out a way they can share the music and still be able to download free applications and games and some paid stuff as well with their own Itunes money but I need to do all this without compromising my itunes password which will be needed to download the content from what I've seen by playing with the ipod touches they will get while I've been setting them up.
Is this possible for them to share music but have their own application account or can I give them child accounts kind of like the xbox live where I can control them from downloading unless they have me present ?
I do have one child that lives with her mom in the next town over and this is going to be a problem as we move forward because she will want access to the music as we move forward but its my understanding if we have the same account we sync off of that we can share apps as well , is this true or not ?
If we keep my daughter on my account is there a way that she can share the music and have it on her computer at home without compromising my itunes cash loaded onto my account or my credit card info as well ?
There are so many avenues and possibilities that it's hard to kind of network all these ideas into reality so thats why I turned to the forums where the power users are.

you can handle the app installation on each device by using the Restriction settings of the ipod touch. For example if you disable the app installation, the icon will not be visible and no apps can be installed using iTunes, as the program pane will be grayed out as well.

You can set up each device differently on one computer and iTunes will remember the settings.
Apps only work with the account you used buying them and can't be shared.

I just recently got an iPod touch 5 and it won't let me download apps. It says they are free but when I install it , it keeps popping up saying before purchasing I must tap continue to verify my purchase something like that. Idk what to do. !!!!!
Yes. You can set the payment method to "None" once you log into iTunes on your PC/Mac. I have it set up this way.

You said you updated yur 1G iPod to 4.2.1. A 1G can only go to 3.1.3 and thus you must have jailbroken it to get to 4.2.1 and that can cause problems.

What do you do when your iPod won't let you download apps and says invalid accesories?
My iPod touch has been giving me trouble latley. It won't let me download apps and when i try it says incorrect accesory and takes me to edit info when I finish that it doesn't fix anything. Really need help.
Try logging out of your account on the iPod by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works.

You don't say which version of iPod you have but apparently it's fully updated to it's capability yet not to the level that newer iPods can go. Some apps do require the latest IOS level.
