My ipod was on then turn off and will not power back on what should I do?

my ipod will not turn on what can I do?

Try leaving the iPod touch connected to power for 10-15 minutes or resetting the iPod touch.
If that doesn't work, make a reservation with a Genius.

  • My iphone 5s turned off and will not power back on

Last night my phone was working and charging when I went to sleep. This morning when I woke up the screen is black and I can not get the phone to turn back on. Has anyone else had this experience? Any suggestions on what to do?

    Hello mackenzie1985,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Please follow the troubleshooting steps below for this issue of your iPhone not powering on.
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

My iPod froze fully charged on the lock screen for 5 minutes, then went off and will not switch back on?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

my phone just turned off and will not go back on. my top lock button has been broken for over a year. Help! I have tried plugging it into wall unit and computer but my home button just doesnt do anything!

It seems that year long delay from having your lock button repaired has finally caught up to you.  Sounds like you have some damage to your phone that requires repair/replacement.  Take it to a Apple store or contact Apple Tech Support.

Connect iPhone to Wall Charger for 10 minutes, it may turn ON itself. If still nothing keep on Charger and Reset, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until the iPhone begins to start.

  • 8310 Turned off and will not come back on

I've had the red 8310 for a little over a year now.  I charged my phone fully last night, used it a little today before lunch (made a call and send a few texts) and when I returned from lunch, my phone was off.  I can't turn it on.  I've tried removing the battery with no luck.
Has anyone experienced this problem?  I don't have insurance on the phone and my two year contract with ATT isn't up so I don't want to go out and buy a brand new phone at full price.

I took it took an ATT service center- it wasn't the battery and since I was over the one year warranty, they couldn't replace the phone (how convienent).  I ended up buying a $20 "pay as you go" phone and popping my sim card in there.  Anyone who has this issue and is WITHIN their warranty- I suggest you make sure your phone breaks before your warranty expires.... or you'll be replacing the phone yourself.

I have an iphone and i was sending a multimedia message and all of a sudden the phone turned off and will not turn back on. We have been charging it for almost half an hour or more and it still hasn't turned on. How do we fix it?

Wine, were you charging over the USB Connection or AC Power?  We've found in our organization that at times not enough power is generated over USB to recharge it in situations like this...I quote from the email of a fellow technician that i just received today...
I’ve had a couple of users up here bring their iPhones to me so dead that the phone was unresponsive, no matter what we did. One thing that many people do not realize is that the iPhone (iOS devices in general) have power management in them. The power management appears to be set up so that the device will not power on at all until the battery is at a certain minimum level. If the user will plug the device into the power adapter, not a USB port on a computer (laptops especially), and leave it for about an hour, maybe longer, the device will come back to life.
The reason I say they have to use the power adapter is because the USB port is not high enough power to bring the charge up fast enough for the battery to come back out of “hibernation”.
Each time I have had the users do the power adapter plug in, and leave it for a couple of hours, the devices have come back to life
    Hope this helps
