My iPod went into recovery mode and I knew I had to restore it. However, when I plug it into the computer, nothing comes up on the iPod and my iTunes doesn't open. Except, when I plug my iPod into my wall charger, it lights up. What can I do to save it?
For some reason, my iPod doesnt power up when I connect it to my computer, but it does if I plug it into my wall charger.
I need to restore it as it went into recovery mode, what is it that doesn't allow it to connect to my computer and what can I do to fix it?

Oh yes, spare yourself future grief since this doesn't apply to music and video, get an external HD to back up iTunes and use it!

Your device crashed, and it could have been caused by any number of root causes, many of them not controlled by Apple. Third party app, interruption of internet connection, interruption of power, etc.

I have a big problem with my iPad2. From the begining: I wanted to update the iOS to 7.1.2. The progress bar appeared and I left it like that. When I returned, it showed me that I have to connect the device to iTunes. When I did this, it said that I have to restore it. The big problem is that I don't have any back-up of my iPad. I had, but my old laptop broke and I can't open it anymore. So I got a new laptop (Windows 8) and never connected the iPad to it, only now, when it is in Recovery Mode and... I tried to hold the Home+Wake up button both pressed in the same time, but still no change: the Apple logo appears only for a few seconds and it goes back to the Recovery Mode screen. I also downloaded TinyUmbrella from here: http://tinyumbrella.en.lo4d.com/ but nothing happened (it appeared something like TinyUmbrella: Verifying libraries, reticualting something). I also contacted the service in my country, but they said that nothing can be done, I have to restore it and, by this, erase all the data on it. Please, is there any way in which I can save the data? I'm more than desparateYes, I know... I discovered now that I have saved the photos I wanted from it long time ago (for the same reasons, i didn't wanted to lose them). So I'm kind of saved. I installed Monolanguage and now iTunes doesn's open any more.
tried everything mentioned here and in other forums.
I'm using Mac OS X 10.6.8 on a MacBook Pro.

I deleted te TLSC file
I repaired the rights of access
I rmoved Flip4Mac and Quicktimeplayer
I restarted the system serveral times

Flip4Mac has nothing to do with iTunes.
You have to be careful using Monolingual It can remove components other applications expect to be there. I don't know how it affects iTunes, though it could conceivably be looking for language support you no longer have.
If you're getting so desperate for hard drive space that you're using Monolingual then you may want to think about moving other files off, or buying a bigger hard drive.
You may want to consider re-installing your operating system or restoring your computer from backup if you really think this was caused by using Monolingual.
