it's been two weeks that i saw my ipod blinked. (i have and ipod video, 30 gb.) the battery was draining so fast. i tried charging it. it charged but the following day, same problem. i tried reformatting it, but to no avail. i tried charging it again. but my adapter and pc won't recognize it anymore. i mean, no icons show up on the screen of my ipod. i got this ipod about a year ago, but this is the first time i encountered this problem!
i mean this is really: HELP!

I suspect that you have a completely dead battery.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

HELP, My G2 ipod shuffle will not charge and is not recognized at all by my computer or itunes. it is like there is nothing even pligged in to the usb port. and when i plug in my ipod to the charger my ipod blinks orange 4 times and then stops whats going on?

Have you tried resetting both the iPod and dock? To reset the iPod, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
To reset the dock, unplug it and plug it back in.

Well my ipod touch doesnt charge and isnt recognized by itunes. It all started one day it ran out of battery and shutdown, I conected it and it started charging with the red battery screen then in started(booted) and it stoped charging, when I conect it to a pc itunes doesnt recognize it.

I've had my 120 Ipod Classic since the end of 2008. Before I went to bed Saturday, I plugged it in to the USB port to charge overnight while my computer was still on. I wake up Sunday and my ipod is completely dead. It won't charge or turn on. I've tried resetting it and still nothing. I have not seen the screen lit since Saturday night and have no idea what could have happened. Could it be the battery? My computer nor Itunes isn't even recognizing it. I also plugged it into my macbook and again, it's still not recognizing it. What in the world is going on? Four days later and I'm still stumped. PLEASE PLEASE help me.

If you upgraded to Itunes 9, there's the problem.
Itunes 9, unfortunately, corrupts any Ipod Classic that was purchased around a year ago. We haven't really found an exact manufacturing date for the Ipods that are susceptible to corruption.
Sorry, but you're probably out of luck like the other Classic owners out there.

I am afraid that the solution did not work... the ipod touch of mine seems really not functioning. It receives an electric isgnal from the computer but it doesnt sync at all... I have had a 20 gb ipod for a month or two and just the other day I put it to charge (not for the first time) and it didn't connect. I have a docker and that didn't work either. I tried to connect to itunes on both laptop and home computer and it didn't register the ipod.
I guess there might be a loose connection in the bottom of the ipod? I am still under guarantee but can't make head nor tail of the site. If I call I get charged automatically 37 pounds for on line support (I am not within the 90 days as I bought this ipod on Ebay) Do I just send the whole thing in without really knowing what is wrong with it?
Has anyone had a similar problem? i successfully have connected both to the charger and itunes over the past few weeks though there were a couple of occasions where the ipod didn't get recognised by itunes.

IPod 5th gen 30gig won't charge and isn't recognized by iTunes

I recently replaced the battery in my iPod 5th gen because I thought that was the problem. This fixed things temporaly and my iPod turned on for this first time in a long time. However, now it won't charge or hook up to the computer. I think this may have been the problem all along.
The charging port seems to be in good condition and pretty clean. I have tried resetting it and resetting it while connected to itunes. I also disconnected and reconnected the new battery. I left it plugged in for sometime but it hasn't charged.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I really have no idea what the problem is at this point.

I got a classic not too long ago from someone else and I tried turning it on yesterday but it wouldn't come on, so I tried plugging it in the car charger, but still nothing. Today, I tried the wall charger and nothing. I tried the USB and nothing and realized the PC wasn't even noticing it was there. I have my old nano and it is recognized and charging by all the ways the Clasic isn't so I'm completely lost and need some serious help please!

If you are stuck on the Apple log you may need to restore.
Before you do, try this
Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo appears

IPhone 4 unable to charge and USB not recognized?

Hi, I've just got my iPhone replaced because the old screen is broken.
In this new iPhone 4.
The camera rear, when I take photos, there is a slightly transparent black spot. It annoys me, but I chose to ignore.
It was fine all morning, till BAM!
This **** thing came up when I wants to charge my iPhone on my laptop.
My laptop can't recognize the iPhone. Earlier was fine (when I'm copying photos out), then later when I replug it happens.
"USB device not recognized. The LAST USB device you connected to this computer MALFUNCTIONED, and Windows does not recognize it"
This is my first time getting this warning.
Is there any way to reset the USB port, and redetect the iPhone USB?
Also, my iPhone can't be charge! I've tried different cables, different power source. None work.
I assume my cable is not broken because if it is, the my laptop wouldn't detect the USB and that annoying warning won't come up.
I've have TRIED:
Soft rest and hard reset on iPhone.
Restart/Shutdown laptop. Also, deleted Upper Filter from Registry. Removed laptop charger. Unplug all USB.
Reset all setting on iPhone.
Clean my iPhone charging port and charger adapter USB.
My iPhone left 10% of battery, and it's 3AM here. There's obviously no apple store open. There also no Genius Bar in my country.
And I've observe my battery gone down to 9% and back up to 10%. While I'm typing this, the battery goes up to 11%.
It's so so so slow. There is no "Charging" sign. Normally, the battery icon on the top right will have a plug sign thingy.
Now it doesn't show anything except for a red battery but percentage is going up so freaking SLOW!
*Also, how to update IOS to 6.1.4 (current 6.1.3)? I don't want IOS7.

Just an update:
I spent many hours last night working on my phone, and after leaving it on my docking station for a few hours, it had enough battery to turn on, though it was only a tiny bit of battery. I quickly plugged it into my PC and was able to load the backup from iTunes from about a month ago, so that it was now my phone again. However, straight away the battery died again, and I left it on the docking station all night, but it never charged. Now it no longer shows the battery sign at all, just a black screen.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, as i was checking out the apple website, and as my phone no longer has warrantly it's going to cost me £125 for a service which ain't cheap!

Nano won't charge/turn on/not recognized by computer help please

bit of a complicated story (to me anyway). My computer recently crashed and had to be completely restored, when I got it back and reloaded iTunes (itunes 11) all of my music was still there in the cloud, excellent. I bought two albums last night from the iTunes Store and they won't sync with my iPod classic. When I plug it in iTunes recognises it, it connects then ejects without syncing. When I tried transferring my purchases I get a message to say iTunes is not authorised to play certain songs (not the songs I have just bought) and I need to authorise my computer. Then a box comes up with an apple ID I have never seen before pretty filled. I deleted that andout my details in but then I get a message to say my computer is already registered. I'm on my 4th out of 5 computers so I don't want to start deauthorising and deauthorising unless that's the right thing to do.
Tried resetting etc but doesn't have any effect. Any ideas?

Ok so when i try to charge my ipod touch 1st gen 8 gigs wit the usb it doesnt want too even wit the outlet charger it doesnt want too. its not even recognized by itunes either. i have a ipod classic 120 gigs that one does charge by the outlet and usb and its recognized by itunes. i dont know why my ipod touch doesnt wanna charge or be recognized by itunes whats wrong??? my usb is version 2.0 also.

You can try the troubleshooting here. If that does not work I suggest an appointment at the Genus Bar of an Apple store since you may have a hardwar problem like a dead battery.
