My itouch 6 was stolen on Wed night and I only activated Lost mode on Friday morning. I believe ios 7.0 was installed on it. Is there a way to check? and can someone do a hard reset on it? will my contact message still display if this is the case?
I have gone onto Findmyphone and activated Lost mode and it appears to be offline. My concern is that I have left it too late to activate Lost mode ( stolen Wed night and activated on Friday morning). Is there a way of checking if ios 7.0 was installed and would be message still appear on the screen if someone was to do a hard reset on my itouch 6. What can I do? Please help.
I am getting a message on Findmyphone that says lost mode will take place the next time the ipod touch connects to the internet which I am afraid will be when the person connects it to their computer( if they do that). If I activated lost mode too late...can a hard reset still be performed despite not having my apple id or password?

You will need to restore your iPhone from the same computer that you most recently synced to.

Good morning. Getting notifications that you are close to exceeding your allowance can certainly be alarming. It would be my pleasure to help put your mind at ease.
I understand you are not streaming movies, music, etc. Which these features will use a lot of data. Are you using the Mobile Hotspot on your phone. This may also cause you to exceed your data allowance quickly if you do not power if off after you are done using the feature. To turn off mobile hostpot tap settings>general>personal hotspot>off. Do you have any third party applications that you have installed that may be running a lot of data?
To ensure applications are not consistently running in the background do the following press the menu button at the bottom of your phone twice. All the open apps will then appear. Select and hold the bottom of the screen. A minus sign will then appear in the top left of each app. Select each minus sign to close out the application.

apple id was originally disabled. I reset my password and can sign into my apple id account. But when i want to buy an app in the app store it says my apple id is disabled again.
It's real easy to create a new one and, in fact, it's too easy. I say that because multiple IDs are a PIA. The problem is that anything obtained from the iTunes Store is PERMANENTLY associated with the ID that was used to obtain the item(s). iTunes items can not be transferred from one ID to another and IDs can not be merged.
The problem arises when you want to update an app. If you're doing it from iTunes on your computer, you must log out and back in to get to the correct ID. Then you update and log out/in again to get back to where you started. It's slightly easier if you update from the iPad/iPod device as there is no need to log out/in BUT you still need the correct password for the appropriate ID. Of course, with a disabled ID, the problem is much worse!
A replacement Apple ID makes sense ONLY if you wish to start out absolutely brand new with zero iTunes Store purchases.
If you're really butting your head aginst a wall and you're reasonably close to an Apple Store, my suggestion is that you make an appointment with the resident "Genius" and get his/her help.
One last thought... If your brother actually got a human on the phone to dispute the charges, go there and explain the problem. Of course, if Apple did not accept his explanation of what occurred, that could be the whole issue. Apple believes that money is owed on the account! -

It however does not have to be a fully working sim card, just not blocked or with a pass code, I repair/refurb. some iPhones and can only advise to try and get a free sim card from a provider supported on your phone and activate it with this, or maybe someone can lend you theirs for 5 mins?
To clarify, I have heard there are ways around this, but they sound dubious. -

None of my apps work, and i just wanna back everything up on my pc and restore, obviously dumping unnecessary files. i have, however already deleted multiple apps and photos and it hasn't helped. it doesn't seem to want to do a hard reset either which i think would allow the device to recognize the free space.

I have an apple tv 1st generation, and there is a setting for airtunes. can someone tell me what this is and how to use it?
I've looked at that, but on my PC, "look for remote speakers connected with airtunes" isn't an option.
The only options I get are "prevent ipods [etc] from syncing automatically" , "warn me when [X %] of the data on this computer will be changed" and "forget all remotes". Its also got a list of backups I have saved, as well as a button to reset sync history.
When I am playing a song, the "airplay" button isn't even visible.
I am sure that the apple tv setting is on as well. Is there anything else you can help me with? -
Is there any way to retrieve photos that were put in the trash can and then it was emptied? Or is there a way to move photos from an imovie to iphoto?
If you've emptied the trash, ehtn no. However if you have a backup, like Time Machine, or a recent backup copy of your photo library you could recover the photos from the trash.
The answer to getting a snapshot form iMovie depends on what version you have.
I should add it technically may be possible to recover the emptied trash, but if you really want to do that you would need to download a utility software that can attempt to recover deleted files. Do it soon before you start writing more data to that disk. At the moment I don't have a recommendation for such a program. Maybe someone else out there will offer suggestion. -
I am using OS X 10.8.5 but I'm having a hard time downloading Mavericks.
It keeps on showing that there is an error downloading.
Can someone can help me?Some have managed to resolve the problem by cancelling the download, logging out of their App Store account and then logging back in again and starting over. The same approach also sometimes works for a stalled download:

CS2 is very old and reached its "end of life" a while back. So probably won't run on modern operating systems. If you can still run it, you'll need to uninstall what you have and re-install with the download link below to activate it.
