My itunes library is not syncing to my ipod classic what can I do?
My ipod classic was not being recognized by my computer and Itunes was not able to pick up the connectivity. My ipod would unplug itself and not sync my Itunes library. I unplugged it and replugged it. What can I do to fix this problem and how do I fix this problem?
Try an alternate cable, or an alternate computer to rule out obvious connection issues. See also Corrupt iPod classic.

I used to be able to download the items from the itunes store on my ipod, but that isn't an option anymore. I'm not sure how to get the items on my ipod.
Because you can set Restrictions on age/content and one song might be age restricted.

I repeatedly receive an error message when trying to sync my ipod touch with my itunes library with my new computer which reads, "Some of the items in the itunes library were not copied to the ipod because you are not authorized on this computer." However when I try and authorize my computer I always receive the message that this computer is authorized. What am I doing wrong? I'm missing about 100 songs as a result of this error!!

I have downloaded several audiobooks from audible and they have synced fine with my iPod but this book from the Apple Store will not sync from my iTunes to my iPod.
I am also having an issue with iTunes U; I have subscribed to the two classes I am taking this term and downloaded the videos to iTunes but when I sync my iPod classic I keep getting this error message: "Some of the videos in your iTunes Library were not copied to the iPod because they cannot be played on this iPod." I'm not sure what is going on because I have used this feature on my iPod classic before and it worked fine. Those videos are probably not in an iPod-friendly format. It’s picky about that. You can try converting them, if possible.
As for the audiobooks, are you sure they haven’t synced? You’ve enabled it to sync books and checked the “Audiobooks” section of your iPod? -
i have been trying to figure what the problem with my ipod touch is, im downloading songs from a different source and not itunes store, recently i have had a msg being displayed at the end of synching 'some of the items in the iTunes library were not copied to the ipod because they cannot be played on this ipod'. however the songs play fine in itunes.
i have re-installed itunes several times, deleted all my music and iported it again. retored my ipod and still i have the same msg. its only stating 8 songs so far that cannot be copied onto my ipod. please can someone help as ive tried everything that i can possibly do. thanks.Hello mobyash,
Have you tried converting each of these 8 tracks to a different file format and seeing if they will then sync to your iPod. See this Apple support document for information and instructions on how to convert a song to a different format.

My iTunes library is too large for my iPod classic--can I create a separate library so that I can split the current library and sync the distinct libraries onto separate iPods?
- If the Gmail accounts are IMAP one then if the library is erased and then you use the account old email will be redownload
- Easing the library on the MacBook does not effect what is on the iMac. On the other hand if you deleted the messages in the Mail app on the MacBook then they will deleted from all devices.
-See the middle of the following. It would seem to help in your situation

Hello tuneup1,
Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
If an SD version of your purchase is available, you will be able to download it from your purchase history. For more information, see the following articles:

My iTunes library will not sync to my iPhone 4S
So I am getting extremely frustrated. Both with my phone; and possibly iOS 8. The first thing my phone has been doing lately, is sometimes randomly deleting songs off of the music app. Please note that the songs are songs that I listen to the most. Quite obnoxious. So then I have to take the time to go under the purchased section on the music app and re-download all of those songs. Now trust me, I have read comments of people saying that it is a bad idea to download iOS 8 on an iPhone 4S. Well lucky for me, I didn't know about that until after I updated my iPhone. But I actually like some of the new iOS features, minus the fact that it may be causing all this frustration. Moving on, I have tried everything I can to transfer every song on my iTunes library to my iPhone and nothing will work. Pretty pretty please, if any one of you out there know a fast and easy solution to my problem; or have dealt with or know someone that has gone through this situation, I would appreciate a comment. Thank you.
I am so relieved to hear that I am not the only one experiencing this! However, I am sorry to hear you are going through this as well. Lucky for me I am upgrading to a 5s which will be sent to me on Wednesday. I did stumble upon an article with tips on how to downgrade back to iOS 7, but I am EXTREMELY apprehensive about doing that myself. Here's the article link if you want to give it a go:

I typically download my music directly from youtube. I have never had any issue when it came to putting it on my ipod touch (4th generation). However, today, I downloaded a couple of songs, added them to my iTunes (11.1.4). When I hit "sync" it said at the top that it was "Synching iPod: Steps 1of 3." It went through these steps incredibly quickly, a matter of seconds really, and I went to check it they had synced. They had not. I tried this several times before uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. Even with the re-install, it does not work. I am wondering if it is because these songs were not downloaded directly from the iTunes store. i tried downloading a song from the iTunes store and it is currently in my iPod, so I know that it is able to sync music. I just started using this version of iTunes as I just installed it on the laptop I just bought (windows 8).

ITunes library will not move over to iPod!!!
Please help! I am trying to simply move my music from my library to my ipod and it won't work. Every time I try to drag the music over or import or move songs into a folder and then into my ipod, the "No" symbol (ie: NO smoking sign) comes up. Each of these songs in file form has a little lock logo on it, I guess the songs are protected. I'm not sure why my Ipod is not recognizing these songs as mine. I have a ton of purchased music that I cannot get on my ipod. It is so frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
"Some of the songs in the iTunes music library, including the song, "__insert song name(s) here__ were not copied to the iPod because they could not be found."
As stated, this means iTunes cannot find the songs.
Look in iTunes at those songs. They're probably gonna have a yellow exclamtion point in front of them.

How can my daughter download her music from my itunes library without it syncing to my ipod
My daughter doesn't have her own laptop and wants to use mine to download music from itunes to her ipod. I currently have itunes downloaded which contains my playlists etc but is it possible to download her music to the same itunes without her music automatically syncing to my ipod (and without my music syncing to her ipod)? I've created a new library which I thought might do it but it still contains my albums (though not my playlists). Is this the right way to do it or is there another way?
Plug the device into the computer.
Select the content desired to sync.
Sync.
iTunes remembers what to sync to the device based on the device ID.
