My itunes will not let me download the music that I purchased on my phone to itunes. So the music show up in itunes but when I go to download it the songs and the download symbol are grayed out. How do I fix this?
I want to upgrade my phone to the new software and it says that I have purchases from my phone not added to my itunes library, so when I go to the songs they are all grayed out and I cannot download. So please help me.
Best route would be to shutdown the computer and restart from cold.
Make a secure backup of your Songs.
Uninstall iTunes.
Install the latest version of iTunes.

On my iMac OSX, 10.9.4, Mavericks, I have been trying to view an album as a slide show. The slide show starts at the end (bottom row picture) instead of the beginning (top 1st picture). I have gone to View>Sort Photos>Manual. But the order of Ascending and Descending choices are greyed out with the default check by Ascending. How can I start at my beginning without rearranging all the photos? Also, some of the photos are upside down and sideways, even though they are correct in the album. How can I fix this?? Thank you! Also, can I include a video in the slide show? Up to how many seconds/minutes?
Is this a slideshow created directly from an album?
There's a bug with iPhoto 9.5 and Mavericks in that slideshows from Albums do not play correctly if they are sorted manually. Only photos that have been sorted by date, keyword, rating or title will play from albums correctly.
To have a slideshow with photos sorted manually use the slideshow mode in iPhoto.

The edt option in the orange drop down menu is grayed out, how do I fix this?
It's the first time that I've went into the drop down menu since installing the latest FF and the edit option it grayed out, and not letting me access it.
That is normal. Does the menu open if you hover the arrow at the right of the Edit entry in the App menu?
Does the Paste link get highlighted if there is content on the clipboard and a text area is selected?
The entries in the Edit menu only work if they apply and there is something to do like text is selected and Copy will work. -

A simple solution...
After much troubleshooting, I have isolated the issue with the greyed out "Messages" app menu. The problem is due to the truetype font Apple Gothic missing which is required for the AppleID login window when you first launch Messages. You can just hit skip when the dialog box comes up, but until you do so the full messages menus are not available. So to fix, just drop AppleGothic.ttf in <bootdrive>/Library/Fonts and Messages 8.x should launch correctly. Apple should have really included this font in <bootdrive>/System/Library/Fonts since it is required for one of their Apps
Many people in the prepress or graphics arts fields will likely run into this issue when they customize fonts.

I have calibrated with spyder4elite and now my blacks are tinted red, how do I fix this?
I have been using spyder4elite to calibrate my iMac monitor and until now the black and whites have been fine, but now my blacks are tinted red. Does anyone know what I might have done wrong? I recently purged my cache - could that have changed something? How can I fix it now?

JanoConfirm that you have the latest drivers for the Spyder, 4.5.6. The release notes state that earlier releases had a problem with color cast on some systems. Then run the calibration again. If you continue to have problems, you may want to take this issue up with Datacolor technical support; it's possible that your calibrator is defective, or they may have tips.

basically any time I open up one of the windows at the top of my firefox, such as "bookmarks", the real firefox window where my browsing is is duplicated into my bookmarks menu. This only started happening immediately after installing version 18.0. I tried updating my graphics plug-ins, as well as un-installing all previous firefox versions, including the current one, and re-istalled. None f this fixed the problem. When you sort playlists, you either ask for sorting on a certain criterion (ie, alphabetically by name), or you choose yourself. You can't mix both. To automatically sort, you click on the field/column you want (eg, Name, Date Added, etc). To manually sort, click on the heading for the very first column (the numbered column). Now you can drag tracks around as desired.

Iphone will sync with one computer at a time.
When you sync to another it will delete the current content.

If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. 3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.

charge, and then start with step 2 again.
