My itunes will not start in Win XP. I get an error that says MSVCR80.dll can't be found. I am scared if I just reinstall iTunes that I will lose all my music and apps that are in the old itunes. What can I do.

of iTunes it will overwrite or delete all the music and apps I have on the current app that won't start. When I boot the PC I get the following:
APSDaemon.exe - unable to locate. MSVCR80.dll not found. Reinstalling application may fix this problem. How can I get iTunes started without losing

It won't unless a problem occurs. Back them up, uninstall iTunes and all related components, and reinstall them.

well first make sure that when you click on the name of your iphone on the left hand side of itunes that you go to the app and music tab and check mark the sync apps and sync music. then try clicking apply in the bottom right hand corner. then if not try doing it again after going to prefrences in the top menu and going to devices tab and click reset sync history if that doesnt work with music try and drop and drag to the name of your iphone, lastly if that doesnt work you can try restoring from a backup from before you updated. it will keep the new software but put everything that was on your phone when you created the backup back onto your phone.

I've tried updating itunes but nothing happens. It always asks me if I want to download the newest version but when I click download it does nothing. Then when I open itunes again it asks me the same question.

my iphone is unable to play music out loud, and only works with the assistance of speakers or headphones. I know it can play out loud as the alarm/ringtone etc all work, and also when I put my phone in speaker docks, just before it connects it plays mystic out loud through the phone speakers. Same as you would if you bought a pc; copy everything from your old computer to your new one. Then you can just sync everything from the new computer, as you did with the old one.

Make a new Apple ID for her.
Use it on her iPhone 4S for iCloud, iMessage and FaceTime.
Use your ID on her iPhone 4S for iTunes and App Stores.
Sign in with your Apple ID on iTunes Store (on iTunes app of her new computer)
Authorize her new computer with your Apple ID in iTunes (iTunes menu>Store>Authorize this Computer)
Check "Share my Library on my Local Network" in iTunes Preferences in your and her computer
Sign in Home Sharing of her iTunes with your Apple ID.
Copy all the Music she wants from the old computer to the new one. (Must be on the same network)
Copy all the apps she wants from the old computer to the new one. (Must be on the same network)
Export all playlist as xml files from the old computer to the new one.(right click on the playlist to export and "File>Library>Import Playlist to Import)
Sync her iPhone 4S with all content she wants from her new computer (all data from the old computer will be deleted)
Are you sharing Contacts or other data from iCloud?
Be careful or ask for help about moving from iCloud account to another one. -

1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

The easiest and most efficient way to copy your music is to follow the steps under the External drive section. Make sure that you have organized the iTunes library first before you copy it over. Then put the copied iTunes folder in the same Music folder on your computer.

No, your library will remain - but you should be keeping and maintaining a backup of your downloads/library.

Some music and apps that I have purchased and downloaded from i-tunes "cannot be found" when I try to put them on my i-pod. Why is this happening and what can I do about it?
In iTunes, select the audio book and righ click and select Get Info. Go to the options tab and click on Media kind and change it to Audiobook. It will then appear on the iPod under Audio books. On the iPod that is Muisc app>More>Audobooks.

I completely forgot that I still had not backed up any of my purchased music and apps and of course when the update was finished, I found that all my music and apps had been erased.
