My iTunes won't open for some reason.

So for some reason my iTunes will not openm, I've clicked the shortcut, gone to the location, opened as a dmin, and still nothing. I've re-installed it plenty times, and still nothing. I have no absolute idea what is wrong. Maybe it's Quicktime or mobileme, but someone please help. I run Windows 7 64bit.

Try following steps one at a time:
1. Check to see if this file APSDaemon.exe is the problem here.
Close your iTunes.
Press Ctrl-Alt-Del key and choose Task Manager. In the "Processes" Tab, select the file APSDaemon.exe and click End Prosses button, then close the task manager window.
Now open itunes and see if it is working?
If that works, to prevent having to do the same process everytime you restart Windows, go to. START button, type in
MSCONFIG
Hit ENTER
Click STARTUP Tab, Uncheck "Apple Push", click OK.
Restart Windows.
2. If you don't see ApsDaemon.exe in the Processes, refer to following article to remove SC files:

Then, repair your Quicktime. START / CONTROL PANEL / PROGRAMS N FEATURES / hightlight QUICKTIME and click REPAIR.

or are you getting no error messages whatsoever when you try to launch itunes?
if you're getting no error messages whatsoever, do you just see the wee hourglass for a few seconds, and then nothing? if so, do you also have Norton Internet Security 2005 installed on that PC?
or are you seeing a brief "flash" of the itunes license screen (and then nothing)? if so, do you also see similar behavior when you try to launch your QuickTime?

Since this first message, the "Other" space has increased exponentially. The first time, after the "restore", it increased to over 9 GB. Later, I tried a minor restore again, and now it's over 10 GB. Is there a log file in the document folder indicating what the problem was. There are a number of reasons that PDF creation may fail. You can try to print to the Adobe PDF printer to see if there is any indication in that process. The processing is different, but the same problems may show up with both processes.

This program won't work for some reason

I'm having trouble with getting this program to do what I want. It reads in a file and identifies certain parts that follow the rules I've given. The first version below is one that works. It simply prints out the string if it meets the conditions in the if statements. The second one will compile but shows no data. I know it stores the values in the arrays sortstem and sortdg becuase I put the println statement directly after the code for storing them and it worked. However, when I put it where it is now, it will not work. Any suggestions? Also, I get an error after the program runs for both versions: It says exception in thread "main" Java.lang.NullPointerException at tokens.main(tokens.java.69) (this was for the first program).

I'm still having trouble with the println in this program. For some reason, in this section of the code, if I put System.out.println(sortstem[0]); inside the for loop, it works fine. But if I try to do it ouside of this loop, it will not work. The only thing I can think of is that the variable is only available inside the loop but I just can't figure it out. Can anyone enlighten me?

ITunes won't open for a different reason then anyone else has posted! HELP!

Hey, hopefully you can help me. I recently tried to move my music to my new external hard drive. It was successful and worked fine. All of the sudden, iTunes decided that it would not open. Whenever I try to open iTunes the following message pops up:
The folder "itunes" cannot be opened or created, and is required. The default location for this folder is inside the "my music" folder.
I have tried to move the music back, tried to create a new folder (my music and itunes), tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I even tried to reinsert my ipod/itunes software cd, and even that didnt work.
Think you can handle this question? Then shoot me the answer to this question!

I'm not sure what you did, but whatever you did, it was wrong. I'm not talking about any "Repair" options...
Just create a "My Music" folder in the correct place. Then open TweakUI, and go to My Computer->Special Folders in TweakUI. In the folder drop down, select the "My Music" folder, then use the Change Location button to select the new My Music folder you have just created.
There's no magical "Repair" involved. You need to fix the folder yourself.

I have one site in my browsing history that won't erase for some reason, and it's been crashing Firefox every time I try to erase it. I changed my security preferences to clear history before each session, and now I can't open Firefox at all. Help.

The site in question was the homepage for Air BnB (http://www.airbnb.com/). It's never given me problems before, and didn't even after this particular instance. I would like to continue using Firefox, but it ill no longer open, I'm assuming because it gets stuck trying to clear the history (as per my changed preferences).
Is there a way to uninstall the program without losing my bookmarks?
Is there a way to manually clear this problem with my history outside the program?

Have you looked for the previous render files? Show contents of your library and see if there are any files in the Render folder from last night.

Did the requested upgrade and now iTunes won't open for anything

I upgraded to the newest version and now iTunes wont open, no error message, nothing. It looks as if it's going to launch when I click on it but nothing happens. This Happened last time I upgraded but it worked itself out after a few mins but this has been all day... nothing is working.
I tried to plug my iPod in and not even that will launch iTunes.
In a similar topic it was asked if QuickTime would launch, my QuickTime will open but it has been loading for 2hrs now.... WHATS GOING ON?!!???

I cannot open my Iphoto on my macbook pro. I have used it for three years with no problem. However, after trying to load some pictures from my camera it seems to have frozen up. I force quit it and have not been able to get past the opening blank window since ...cursor still blinking as if it is downloading or trying to open.

I am confused as to why my iTunes hates me so much. I was able to use iTunes for a long time. I've used it with my old iPod and now with my touch. I use my iPod all the time. I want to buy more apps and add more music, but it randomly staopped working after I tried adding two movies that I downloaded onto it. I dragged them and was putting them on like any other movie or song and it usually works, but this time it just closed. After that, it never opened up again. I tried opening it by plugging in my iPod and iI tried opening it multiple other random ways. I unistalled it and tried redownloading it several times and it still resists working. Sometimes it even loads for a minute and never pops up. Sometimes I get a message when turning off my computer and it tells me that it is not responding. I do not know what to do with it. I really just wanna add more music and stuff. This is really making me mad. Its been like this for about 3 or 4 weeks.

Hey Katrina, My itunes sometimes had a mind of it's own. Would not or might take forever to open. I had to defragement my computer every other day to fun faster. Itunes desktop speed is much faster then most. Go to crucial.com and have your computer tested for free. they will run diagnostics and recommend simple, simple to install memory chip. Believe me you and a friend can install new faster memory chip. EASY try it or clear your desktop of unused shortcut Icons. Good luck duwaaper

Itunes won't open for me?

I recently went to plug in my phone and my computer wouldn't recognize it. I deleted then redownloaded Itunes, but it still wouldn't work. When i try to open Itunes it says "The file Itunes.Library can not be read because it was created by a newer version of Itunes". I'm not sure what this means, or how on earth i fix it, but could anyone help?
I haven't had this problem before, and i've tried deleting/redownloading it multiple times. Nothing is working.
I was downloading the most recent version of Itunes.

I downloaded ewido and did a scan, then I cleaned out all my old iTunes software...the updater etc & downloaded everything all over again & I still am having the same problem. I don't know what to do next, because I know it's not a problem with Norton Security because I don't even have that on my computer. Also, I am not getting any sort of error message. Still just the brief license agreement that flashes on the screen. I've also done a system recovery on my computer pretty recently, hope that helps.

Which model? The original iPad?
Have you tried another cable/connector? Another power adapter? Don't use the computer at all to charge it. That is the least effective way to charge the battery.
Try resetting your iPad and see if that helps.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
