My mac and i phone can't connect

i need help, my macbook pro and my iphone can't connect ?
i just got my iphone 4 so i can't open it before i sync. with my mac
and i have 2 usb ports, but if i use the first one it shots my computer down
and the other one does't react ?
any help ?

How can I connect my iphone to my computer with the new upgrades? My mac (old) cannot support the new itunes and my phone can't connect to it.

Get more information about your computer. Go to the Apple in the upper left corner of any window, then "About This Mac". Write down what it says about "version"and report that here. Now continue to "More Info..." Copy and paste the information here, but omit the serial number and Hardware UUID (if present).
Even my 12 year old Mac lets me download the newest iTunes. Of course I can't install it but any computer can download the installer files so we need to know precisely what you are trying and what error messages you are seeing.

I've only seen this happen when a Quicktime video isn't embedded into a html, http://video.mov. When linking a video this way the browser don't use the Quicktime plugin.
Safari supports HTML 5 and there's a new way of viewing videos in HTML 5.

You cannot delete an Apple ID, you just stop using it. Understand that any apps purchased using that ID can only be updated with it. Apps are tied that ID used to purchase them. If you want to use a new ID for everything, you will need to repurchase any old apps using the new ID.

Thanks for this... I actually wanted to pair my iPad with my iPod touch so I can use the keynote remote app in my iPod touch to control my keynote presentations... I was able to control my presentations through wifi... I wanted to use the bluetooth since internet connection is quite slow.. The app tells me I can connect through bluetooth with my iPad but sadly, it can't... I've been trying to pair them but the can't discover each other... :(

If you have not yet done so unpair the car kit from the phone, or better yet reset it completely, Forget the car kit in the iPhone, and pair it anew.

I bought mine in the US and activated using a German SIM. It worked fine first on 6.0.1. After upgrading to 6.0.2 the SIM does not work. I have reset the reset the phone and still does not work. I loaded a new SIM and the phone worked for few minutes before going to Searching mode after I restarted the device. I am being told by the Genius Bar team that this is a Hardware failure.

I open the app store app and try to update the older apps and it says can't connect to store. The other features on the store app works like look up something or buy something new just can't update. I have closed the app and rebooted and still nothing. I have all the same settings and I also reconnected to ITunes and synced the phone.
