My mac books audio stopped working, how can i fix it? New to Mac.

Go step by step and test.
1. System Preference > Sound > Output > Internal Speakers
    Highlight Internal Speakers / Headphones
    Make sure that Mute is not enabled.
2.Plug in and remove the headphone.
    If you see red light in the headphone port, plug the headphone
    in and out of the port 5 or 6 times to flip the microswitch inside.
    Sound output may be stuck in the digital mode.
3. Reset PRAM. http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14222
    Do this twice
4. Reset SMC.     http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
    Choose the method for:   "Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
5. Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup
    Audio Devices window
    Side Bar
    Click the Built-in Output.
    Make sure that no box is checked under “Mute”.
6. System Preferences > Sound> Sound Effects
    Play sound effects through:
   Select "Internal speakers" and then back to "Selected sound output device".
7.Launch iTunes and play a song through headphone and adjust the volume

Did you spill any liquids on your keyboard? If you are in the habit of eating and drinking while using your computer, the keyboard is probably dirty. Use a can of compressed air or a vacuum hose to remove the debris underneath the key. If that does not work, you may actually have a hardware issue.
If you Apple Care, call them and get a case number. Otherwise, take the computer to an Apple store or an AASP. Whichever is more convenient for you. Liquid damage is not covered under Apple's standard 1 year warranty or Apple Care.
NOTE: If you are out of warranty and purchased the computer with a credit card, discuss the warranty issue with the credit card company which you purchased the computer with. They are the only ones who can at this point cover the computer after it goes out of warranty with the manufacturer (Apple).
If you have Homeowners insurance, place a claim with them.

i have an iphone 5, and the first one i had the lock button stopped working so i had to get a new one, i just dropped this one and now the home button doesnt work.... is that something i can fix? and if so, how?

IFixIt.com gurus rate i5 repairs as "moderate to difficult" at best. An experienced jockey who's done a few dozen may be able to open the thing without breaking the screen, a first-timer, very doubtful. And it should still be within its one-year warranty, so let Apple deal with the issue.

I have a program called commission killer that I have downloaded and I can't open it because it says compileBot has stopped working. It then tells me to either close the program or have Windows look for a solution and then it closes without any solution. I want to be able to use this program and yet I don't know what to do to correct this. I have deleted it closed the firewall and the security program AVG but that didn't work either when I redownloaded the program. Any suggestions>?

One day I relalized that the silent/ringer switch on my iPhone 4 stopped working. My phone is permently silent and I can't turn the ringer on. The speakers still work so they aren't the problem. you can try the restore first to make sure it is nothing software related. makesure to back up information and restore as new. after that it is hardware if your with in the limited hardware warranty and can be replaced for free if you are not then it can be replaced for 149$ if it is a iphone 4 or lower

I upgraded to Firefox 4 and my toolbar didn't load, now Firefox won't start automatically saying a script has stopped working. how can I fix this?

Before Firefox will load I have to stop a script message that appears saying that the script for this page is either busy or stopped working. Once I hit stop Firefox will load as normal but without doing this step it will not load at all. Once it is loaded the toolbar has not been loaded and I am told to reinstall the toolbar but I have not been able to do so.

The touchpad has stoppped working suddenly. The pointer does not move when the touchpad is used. I have plugged in a USB mouse, but i did not select the option to disable the touchpad while the mouse is plugged in. It has worked for the past week with the mouse plugged in, but has suddenly stopped.
