- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My mac's run out of memory and I can't find the culprit!

Hi, I'm in serious need of some help! I'm sure this is simple, but I'm about to break down over it – I use my mac for everything. I've got a 200gb 2009 macbook (running iOS7), and it's told me it's run out of memory. The storage tab in 'about this mac' tells me 108GB is being used for video – but I can't find them! My iPhoto has about 17GB of movies, my iTunes has around 20GB, and I've got maybe another 10GB in files within finder – but that's still only half the videos my mac is saying it has? How do I find the rest? I've got 80GB being used by 'other' as well – is that just pages and numbers documents, along with the iOS? Is there a way of finding exactly what all my memory's being allocated to?
I've got the entire mac backed up on an external hard drive, but I'm terrified of deleting anything from the mac in case that fails. I plan on getting a second external HD, but even then I think I'll be too worried (I've heard about so many hard drives continuously failing). How does anyone manage all their stuff?!?

Just a slight correction to start, you're not running iOS 7. You're running a version of OS X, iOS is for mobile devices like iPhones and iPads. To find out which version OS OS X you're running click the Apple menu at the top left and select About This Mac.

Please help me understand why my I phone 4s is not working in some places and my HOME!! OK, restart in Safe Mode, this will clear some caches. It's possible one or more is corrupt. To restart in Safe Mode when you hear the start up tone hold down the Shift Key until you see a progress bar. Let it fully boot then restart normally and test.
Also I am assuming you have checked Finder - Preferences - General and see what boxes are checked in "Show these items on desktop." You can also mount an item in Disk Utility, simply highlight it and then look in the File menu for Mount.....

Is your screen orientation locked?
If you see a lock icon in the upper right corner of the screen - then the screen orientation is locked.
Try the side switch above the volume rocker first and see if that unlocks the screen. If that doesn't do it, double tap the home button and swipe to the right and look for the lock icon all the way to the left.
If the screen is unlocked but still will not rotate, reset the iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Small problem. The "Find all unused clips" function not working

Hi all.
heres my problem. Im sitting with the Manuel in front of my mac but i cant get it right. I do it step by step.
After all the things i have to do to find all unused clips, the window named "find results" opens which is whats supposed so happen. BUT not just the unused clips are in that folder in fact all the clips in the same bin which i searched in appears i there. Im sure im just doing something wrong. If any of you guys have the answer to my question. THANKS!

Not sure if this is the problem, but you have to make sure you've selected the sequence in the Browser, not the Timeline, before going to the File menu and performing the rest of the steps. Otherwise, you get a different window that pops up. Just in case that helps you...

The URL bar autocomplete feature is not working correctly, does anyone else have this problem?

I was running version 9.x and had this problem, so I have just updated to Firefox 11 but this is not helping.
The issue is that the URL bar will not let me type a new address in some cases - prefering instead to refer me to a previously visited address. Perhaps it would be better if I gave an example:
I am trying to go to a site I haven't visited before, e.g. holden.com.au
I type 'h', and the URL bar suggests that I go to my Hotmail login page (the URL for this starts with 's'), and autofills the rest of the far (so now I am in the situation where I have an address in the bar starting with 's'). This means I can't continue entering the intended address.
Can this be fixed, or is it just an issue for me?

I have resolved this issue by going into about:config and toggling the browser.urlbar.autoFill setting. I think the default setting must have been changed in a recent update.

I am testing our website :www.winningsportstips.com and we have Virtuemart installed and the site will not allow me to select 'add to cart' feature. However if I open the website in Internet Explorer, the feature is available and it functions correctly. I am running XP and have 'accept all cookies' enabled in settings.

I don't have a 9800 here to test, but if you keep the keyboard closed, isn't there a onscreen enter key?
Normally the buttons not workng is indicative of moisture issues. It sounds like what I have seen multiple times on a device with moisture damage.
Even sitting on a bathroom counter during a hot steamy shower or bath can cause keyboard and trackball problems UNTIL properly dried out. It really is more common than you think.
1. Remove the battery immediately!! Do not attempt to turn on your BlackBerry.
2. Let the device dry in a warm, dry place for 3 to 5 days* (see below)
3. DO NOT "check it each day" by placing the battery in. Leave it be to dry completely. This takes time. Replacing the battery to check it can only damage it more (moisture + electrical current = disaster).
4. If the device is warm after the drying period, allow it to cool to room temperature before placing the battery back in.
Suggestions on drying your BlackBerry in a warm place (open, with the battery out):
*Place the BB in a container of dry UNcooked rice, and then you might also place it in any of the locations mentioned below.
*On top of any dry heat emitting electronic component: TV cabinet or CRT, LCD, cable TV/Satellite converter box or plasma monitor
*On the dashboard of your car on a sunny day

You can install a 64-bit Windows 7 or Vista version in your Mac. Make sure you downloaded these drivers > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1630 Also, if you have the Snow Leopard DVD you used to upgrade your Mac or the OS X DVD that came with your Mac, you can use it to install the Boot Camp drivers

There are a number of other threads from people reporting a problem with a blank Updates tab in the App Store app - it looks like there is a problem at Apple's end which they need to fix.
Some posts are suggesting that you if you go into the Purchased tab in the App Store app you might be able to update the apps from there, though you will need to scroll through the list to find those with updates and individually update them.
