It's very frusterating especially when i'm doing someting when my computer randomly freezes or justs logs out for no reason when i'm using the apps.

Please advise me on the steps necessary for removing these duplicates and establishing a syncing solution that doesn't regenerate the duplicates. There are several applications available that remove duplicates, but I am not sure which ones work or don't work. I want information on this, but most importantly I want to understand how to fix this problem permanently. Also, I read somewhere that Mac's new operating system, Lion, can help deal with duplicates. I don't have Lion, but I would be willing to get it, if this would fix the problem.

Had the same problem with 4 devices (two computers, an iPhone and an iPod). The solution is simple: open the Address Book application in your mac, ask it to locate duplicate entries (under one of the top menu items, "edit" I think), and then ask it to consolidate them: it took me all of three seconds after I figured it out: worked like a charm! PS: if you have more than one mac with unconected Address Books, repeating the operation in the second one may be a good idea.

Nobody but you sees that photo, it does not appear on outgoing emails.
To remove the picture rather than change it, open Address Book and select your personal card, then from the menubar select Card > Clear Custom Image. Now the system will use Apple’s generic user picture in the login window and System Preferences’ Accounts pane. Mail and Address Book will remain blank until you designate a new picture in Address Book or System Preferences > Accounts.

They appear as mounted DMG files.If you right click on them mdo they have an Eject entry?
Have you set the OS to Show All Files with a terminal command? If so take that off for now.
Look in your Home folder (Users/UserName) and then the Desktop subfolder under it. Do you see all these files/folders/drives?

Does tapping on it not give you a Done option at the top left of it ? If not then try closing the Mail app completely andsee if it works when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I have the latest IOS in my second gen ipod touch. Since upgrading, a bunch of apps refuse to update. I've tried removing them in itunes, so that I can try downloading them fresh, but itunes shows them removed, while they remain in the ipod. Is there anything I can do other than wiping it? Ok, so I turned my ipod touch off for 10 minutes, restarted itunes, and checked to add the apps that aren't being removed from the ipod or updating, one at a time then syncing each time I add one. It's working! When I tried to do it en mass, all the apps would attempt to download but failed, asked me to retry or wait. So, I'm slowly going through the 20+ app reinstalls. I've tried to fix this 5 times over the past 2 months, so whatever works is good.
FYI, it's a 2nd gen and is running iOS 5.

I have tried the 32, 30, 29 and 22, they all say the add ons for those 2 plus one more add on i have say not compatible. I need firefox for work. The Adobe "Create PDF" extension is a more complicated issue. However, for security reasons, it would be better to try to figure out how to get it to work with Firefox 32.

I have an iPhone 4 and have recently found an issue with safari. When I search images, I can't save them anymore. The "save image" option simply doesn't exist. Any help?

There is literally no option available. I have tried clearing the caches, restarting the phone, and restoring a backup. Nothing is working so far.

I have the same problem. I tried all that you tried, nothing works. Actually, i'm able to save the images while they load, so it saves a very "pixellized" version of the images. A screenshot is the only alternative, which is not the best. Going to the Apple Store this week. Will keep you posted.

What are these files that keep appearing on my desktop and how can I stop them from showing up?

Ever since I've upgraded to OS X Mavericks, I've had these strange files show up on my desktop. The trouble is that they show up even a little while after I delete them. Here's a few examples:

I've done a few virus scans, but they showed no viruses. Why are these files always popping up and how can I prevent them from appearing on my desktop again?

You need to delete Bitdefender from your Mac. It will cause you nothing but problems.

The best way to prevent malware from being installed on your Mac is to enable Gatekeeper.
Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy then select the General tab.
Make sure either Mac App Store or Mac App Store and identified developers is selected. If that area is grayed out, click the padlock icon to proceed.
