My MacBook Pro came with Lion pre-installed so I can't re-download it from the app store. Is it possible to get the installESD.dmg file and how can I get it if I can't re-download Lion in Apple Store option?

FYI Mac OS X is not designed to be installed on additional Macs, unless you purchased it from the App Store, in which case you can make as many copies as you wish and install it on as many Macs as you own.

Time machine will handle everything for you. You don't have to make any decisions. It will start with a full backup and then take incremental backups from there. You can hook up an external to the extreme base station but if you have 1 machine to backup I would suggest plugging it into that machine. Network backups can be so slow, especially that first full backup.

We can't know. You are not offering any system info or details on what product/ suite you are actualyl referring to by "CS6" nor do we know what update or install procedures on your system you may have done recently. There was an Acro update last week, perhaps it bombed and destroyed your Acro install...

Copying files is not a good idea.
The "other Mac" was backed up onto Time Capsule using the Time Machine. On your new Mac you should restore the old user - rather than copy files manually.
This usually happens during the initial setup of the new computer or you can do it later using Migration Assistant.
Please note, it is possible to damage backup file on the Time Capsule when you browse it and copy files manually.

To post a screen shot, you first take it, them upload it. To take them, I use and recommend Skitch -- one of the best little apps ever. But this ability is built into OS X. Use Grab or Preview (search OS X Help for full directions). In Preview, use "File→Take screen shot ... →From selection ... ". Save the file in Preview to your drive. In the Discussion forum click the "Insert Image" icon (a camera) and select the file you created in Preview.

Can I install Mavericks on a Mac that came with Yosemite pre installed?

I just bought a brand new Mac with the following specs:
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014)
2.8 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB
It came with OS X Yosemite installed. Though I love all the new features, this new OS doesn't support some important Apps I need to install. Could I say, install Mavericks on a partition of my HDD? I've looked on several forums and haven't found any good answers. Some folks say it's tricky. Others say it can't be done. Could anyone help?

My MacBook is trying to mount it, according to right-click 'Get Info', using DiscImageMounter, which only returns the error message (above), 'The following disc images failed to mount - image: SPL2.dmg; reason: not recognised.' Disc Utility doesn't tell me much more. What should I do with it?
My printer (Samsung SCX-4200) clicks and warms up when it's sent a command to print, but that's the end of it - it won't do anything else, which is why I went looking for the driver in the first place. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this and (hopefully) offering a solution! At the end of this past March, I purchased a new ASUS E4109 from Best Buy. It has been working great until 2 days ago when I turned it on. The black screen popped up stating that Windows had failed to run and I needed to install my installation disk (did this come with my laptop?). It gave the options of retrying in normal mode, safe mode, safe mode with networks, etc, etc. When I was finally able to load it in normal mode, it immediately told me I have some sort of corrupt file and need to run "CHKDSK" to repair. Hmmmm for starters, I dont even know what that means. Anyways, the bottom line is that something is wrong with it and I cant seem to figure out how to repair it without making another trip to BestBuy. I would SO greatly appreciate any suggestions to repair, as well as why this happened in the first place. I dont download anything out of the ordinary ( that I know of!) and I cant imagine what could have happened. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me if you can.... it's a huge upset that I have a brand new laptop I cannot even use at the moment. I sincerely appreciate any help, suggestions, advice!! Thankyou, Whitney

ASUS laptops do come with recovery discs. There should be two of them labeld as such.
To do a disc check, open My Computer, right click on your C drive and select properties.
Click on the Tools tab, and then check box "Automatically Fix Errors" and click Start. You'll most likely have to restart your computer for it to finish.
Corrupted files can be caused by a lot of things, most commonly not shutting your laptop down correctly by just holding the power button. Viruses can also cause them but we'll go with the assumption that's not it for now.

the site was published and everything looked great, except we had to make several changes to the content and somehow along the way a line appeared on the master page (hence appearing on all pages). i can't figure out how to get rid of it, and it's driving me nuts. any advice would be much appreciated.

In case it is about the shadow, please go to Master page, click on some blank area and check in the toolbar at the top if there is some effect applied to page : http://trainingwebcom.worldsecuresystems.com/SachinFTP/2013-12-05_1417.png
It can be Shadow, Bevel or Glow effect applied. You can uncheck it and it should be good.

No, sign into the Mac App Store on your new computer with the same Apple ID and the Mac App Store should offer you the download at no cost in your Purchased apps section.
I guess the rub would be if you didn't have the apps pre-installed to the correct Apple ID account.

Macbook Pro Freezes At Startup after installing ram

Hey guys, hopefully some one has more knowledge than i do on this
my macbook pro came with 4gb of ram and so i have decided to upgrade to 8gb. the manual and the computer itself sais i can upgrade to 8 gb no problem, (2x4gb) so i rodered the ram, and i have quadruple checked it isz the right ram. upon putting both 4gb modules in, it would start up, and the little loading wheel under the apple logo would spin, n spin, then stop. so, i took the ram out, i put in one old module and one new module, and it works, the computer registers having 6gb of ram. i mizxed up all the modules and both new ram sticks work, and both ram ports work, the computer will show me which is which in the about this mac thing, but it just wont except the full 8gb!!!
i did not touch the gold metal on any ram sticks, i did touch metal to get rid of sttic, i have done the p ram reset, (but i didnt need to do it with the 6gb installed) and i have no idea what else to do :?

Return that RAM and buy either the Crucial ram (http://www.crucial.com) for your system or buy from OWC (http://www.macsales.com). I've used Cruical ram in many systems over the years with no issues, and have bought Samsung (factory fill) from OWC with no issues either.
