My music stops after a few minutes

Whenever I try using my itunes or pandora, the music stops after just about 2 minutes...what do i have set wrong?  I just got my apple tv set up

I have heard of this issue before, but it usually happens on the 6th generation model.  To resolve the issue on the 6th generation model, make sure you have firmly connected the headphones to the headphone jack on your iPod nano.  The cable should be flush against the iPod with no visible gap.  If this does not work, I have included an article that will help you identify which model you have and then we can troubleshoot further.

    If possible I would arrange for a good service center to go over it. Hopefully they have a variety of parts in stock. They can test and verify all is working. The previous attempts are based on guesses by the person at the other end of the phone without diagnostic tests to assess the culprit. It is extremely unlikely for a webcam to fail & for it & a Mic to fail together should be an indicator to a good technician it is something else. EG Motherboard
    Take it to a servicing dealer and wait for it.

    Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I understand that the Podcasts application is unexpectedly quitting when playing different podcasts. There may be a few different troubleshooting steps that could resolve this for you. I would suggest using the multitasking menu to close Podcasts and open fresh. If you have already done this or the issue continues afterwards, I suggest restarting your iPhone and possibly deleting the app and downloading it fresh. All of the steps you need are outlined in the following article.

  • Iphone music stops after a few songs

    When I use my iPhone to listen to music it stops after a few songs. Everytime I use it. It is driving me crazy because I use it when I run. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Either you hit PAUSE accidentally every time (which I doubt), or there is sth. wrong with the settings (check them out under Settings > Music). If not, look over the Settings in iTunes, in case sth. you don't want is checked there.  If neither that does work, bring to an Apple Store, and have them look into it.
    (In the meanwhile, for you to not stop running, just to change the song, or get the music playing again, ask Siri. At least it won't impair your getting/staying fit!)

  • Audacity recording stopping after a few minutes

    I've been having problems with audacity.
    I'll turn on recording and walk away.  Anywhere from 2 to 8 mins later the record itself has frozen, however the left/right volume bars are still bouncing.  Also I have mumble intercepting raw samples and that still continues to work and send off sound.  The recording session is 60 mins, so the sessions are totally lost.
    There have been times when audacity records all the way through.
    I've got audacity set up to delegate all settings to the mixer (this has allowed audacity to sometimes continue on).
    This is really causing problems.  I also can't seem to find other alternative audio recording programs for linux on arch (there used to be krecord and gnome recorder).
    This is on an athlon x2 3800+ with 2GB ram so there's no resource issues.  I'm using onboard SIS audio which is yet another intel8x0 .

    Have you checked the Sound Output settings (in System Preferences, Sound) for the balance setting?
    It can occasionally be set to not-centered by some software.

  • IPod Classic - Music stops after a few seconds

    I have an iPod 160Gb. My problem started a few days ago. After listening to a few seconds the music stops (really stops!). I have to 'click' on play again and it runs for a few seconds more and stops once more.
    I've already resetted the iPod three times and so far nothing changed.
    I've tried listening to different songs, many of them I've uploaded into the iPod a long time ago and I know there were working before.

    I have the same problem. And, just as daluan clearly wrote, "I've tried listening to different songs, many of them I've uploaded into the iPod a long time ago and I know there were working before". So it's not a matter of partly downloaded tracks.
    As far as I've understood, the problem might be the headphone jack. The iPod is designed to pause when the headphones are removed, so any bad connection in the jack will cause this kind of problem. I will now try to clean my jack and the headphone plug, to see if the problem disappears.

    I have this problem whether I'm streaming from the iPhone, the iPad or the MacBook Pro. After thre or four songs, the music stops (but is still playing on the device). In other words, the sound stops coming through the speakers.
    I have ATV audio (for music streaming) hooked up to my A/V receiver via an optical cable.

    I have same issue to an ATV and a Airport Express. If I activate my iMac speaker the sound is there....disable iMac speaker and no sound to the ATV/Airport Express. I'm using a Apple Extreme.

    I just bought a Canon Elura 80 a few months ago, and have just taped an hour of incredibly sweet baby stuff from our newborn onto a used tape (oh boy, I hope it's not the tape...) anyway, I had no trouble the first time importing using iMovie HD from an unused tape. This time, however, the tape stopped after a few minutes, even though the footage did not. I rewound, rebooted, restarted everything, and no matter what, the computer keeps stopping the tape after a few seconds.
    I'm not an experienced user by any means. Any chance there is some kind of setting or memory problem?.... It seems to want to import this clip into the pre-existing file, which is fine, since that's also baby stuff, but maybe there's a limit on how much can go in one file?... please help!

    Ok, I tried changing the settings to import as individual clips to OFF. What I did was to go into iMovie HD preferences and clicked of the button for "start a new clip with each scene break." This did not help.
    I am not sure how to change the mode of recording, but with the tape rewound all the way it only gives me 61 minutes of time, so I think that is ok.
    I don't know what the file vault program is, or how to turn it off.
    I don't have an external HD, and my camera is connected directly to my computer through a firewire, so that should be ok.
    The most frustrating thing about this is that when I play it on the camera, it plays just fine, it's just that on import the computer seems to stop the camera.
    More suggestions?

    You may need to do a Restore in iTunes.
    Clicking sounds from an iPod that has a hard drive is probably not a good thing.  It is possible that your iPod's hard drive is becoming unreliable.

    I'm not trying to belittle your issues; you're certainly having them and I know first hand how annoying an intermittent AirPort issue can be. (In fact, mine was due to an AirPort driver bug that no one else seemed to suffer from.)
    The single best diagnostic you could do is take your system running 10.5.7 to an Apple Store, and try using their in-store network.
    If your machine performs flawlessly, it may be a router issue.
    If your machine has connectivity issues there, it may be a hardware problem with your machine.
    There have been numerous people in multiple threads over the years who swore that an update was buggy because things used to work, but returned later to sheepishly admit that they took their machine in, a problem was found and fixed, and now their Mac works flawlessly with the newer software.
    But simply reinstalling 10.5.5 in no way means the explanation of how firmware bugs may be at play here is incorrect.
    In the context of that explanation, all you've done is possibly reinstall software that asks to add "2 + 3."

    I am having the EXACT same issue, PLUS my Wacon PTZ-430 only works for a fewminutes then, when the Open GL craps out, so does it... but only certain aspects. The cursor still moves, it just will not paint. Mouse will (direct via USB) but the tablet won't. If I delete CS4 prefs, then the Wacom works fine... for a while. Latest Wacom drivers and bee on the phone w them. All is fine under CS3.
