My nano wont update my podcasts

Well, I got 3 episodes of Happy Tree Friends and whnever I update my Nano, it says that they were updated, but it doesnt show them on my Ipod.

My nano is causing a few problems at the moment. theres an exclamation mark and folder whenever i turn it on. ive literally tried every solution that apple suggests(reset, restore, reinstall itunes etc) but nothing. i think i need to restore it but i cant even do that because the updater wont let me. it just has an error when i plug it in "Firmware cannot update. disc write error". itunes and the updaterr work fine with any other ipod but it wont let me restore the nano! so if i cant restore it what can i do???????????????????????????????????????????

  • IPod Nano wont update songs!!!

Okay, when I plug my ipod nano into the USB port and my itunes pop up, the stage where my ipod would usually update itself is replaced with a popup window that says: Songs on "iPod Nano" cannot be updated because of all the playlists selected for updating no longer exist.
Yes, I have no playlists right now, for some reason in the past I deleted them all. But this problem has erased all the songs and things I have on my ipod and since it wont update my songs I cant seem to put them back in (this includes the burned ones and ones bought from the music store). I am totally confused on what to do, someone PLEASE help!!

I am experiencing, for the first time, a VERY similar issue; except I have MANY playlists, and, up until now, I have been able to selectively manage them on my iPod (2Gb iPod, 60Gb of music). Now, all of a sudden, I get the error that is quoted above, although I have already restored iPod twice, reinstalled iTunes once, as well as selected manual sync, and they all "crap-out" about 1/3 of the way thru the synch-job. Never before have I had any similar problems with my product. Please help.

  • Ipod Nano wont update firmware

    Hello,
I have a dialup connection and although, I can download video content, and the new apple itunes 7.3, I have not been able to get my ipod nano to update the firmware version from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3.
I will either get kicked out during download, or get an error message related to verification of the file.
Is there a separate way to download the file directly, or do I have to use itunes.
    thanks

In the restore instructions it says that you need to plug the iPod into a power adaptor during the second stage.
    Not really.
    Actually it says,
"iTunes will present one of two messages on screen with instructions specific to the iPod model you are restoring.
    * Restore Instruction 1: Disconnect iPod and connect it to iPod Power Adapter (typically applies to older iPod models).
    * Restore Instruction 2: Leave iPod connected to computer to complete restore (typically applies newer iPod models)."
You will get Restore Instruction 2.

You most likely will need to get the latest updater if you don't already have it by now. If it's not downloading on your PC maybe you could have someone download it for you.

Post you question in the appropriate iPod forum area for the model that you have.

Yes, configure your ipod to update with your new playlists.
Click on the name of the ipod in the itunes source list
Open ipod options (the small button in the lower right hand corner of the itunes window that has a picture of an ipod on it)
Select "automatically update selected playliss only" and the select your new playlist from the list
    click ok

  • Updating the Importing songs to my nano wont work!

i have imporated a cd into my nano & after it is done it wont update the nano. It wants to take the songs from the library & put them on instead. Why does it want to do that & how do i get my songs onto my nano? I also have the ipod mini which the nano wants to take the songs from there. please help!!

    Hey,
It sounds to me like you have your iPod is automatic such. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU CHANGE IT TO MANUAL FOR THE NANO. Since it is so easy to have more songs in your library than your Nano, you just might not have enough room. If you do not know how to change it to manual just post back

  • HT1386 Play count wont update between iTunes and iPod Nano 7th Gen

I have a iPod nano 7th generation and have the latest version of iTunes on my MacBook Pro... when I play music on my iPod and connect it to my computer, the play count doesn't update on my iTunes... The same can be said for when I play music on my iTunes...the play count wont update on my iPod...  any ideas how to fix this? AK

If you want to make song files from your iTunes library available on your car audio system, and it connects using a USB port, a new iPod nano is a very expensive way to do it.  If that's the only reason for getting the iPod nano, you should return it and get a cheap 8 or 16GB USB flash drive instead, which costs less than $20.  Here's one that barely sticks out of the USB port.

You can then leave it connected in the car all the time, except for when you want to update the songs.  An iPod is more fragile (especially screen and battery), and you'll have to always remember to remove it, in case the car overheats or freezes.  It would also be a target for thieves.
For the audio file format, I can't believe any car audio system would ONLY play Window Media files, and not the most common type of audio files, MP3.  Songs purchased from the iTunes Store, and those ripped from music CD (using the default settings), are in AAC format.  It's possible the car system does not play AAC.  So, I would try songs from your iTunes library that are in MP3 format.
You can use iTunes to convert songs from AAC (or any iTunes supported format) to MP3.  So, if MP3 works, and you need details on how to convert audio format using iTunes, please post back.  You cannot convert to WMA format (which is Windows Media audio) using iTunes.
