Try an SMC Reset. (System Management Controller)
Shutdown>unplug from power for ten minutes>press and hold in the power button for ten seconds>startup again.
Also try a PRAM Reset. (Parameter RAM)
Shutdown. At the bootup chime, hold down CMD-Option-P-R together, wait for two more chimes, total three, then let go of all keys to finish booting,
If this doesn't do it, run the Hardware Test in Extended

When I unpacked the computer, the hard drive did not include OS X either. Actually, it was completely blank. Did not even have a partition table! I have also had random problems with the machine not charging.

I am having a similar problem on my machine. I was using Word 2008 and I created a PDF inside Word.
I am opening the file on the system itself and I am running Windows 8.1. I am using Version 11 of Reader.
When the PDF I created (my resume) attempts to open, it says: cannot find or create the file Times, Bold. Some characters may not display or print correctly.
However, the entire Reader keeps freezing and will not allow me to open or test print the document. Also, it is not displaying any of the Bold Times New Roman Print. Can you please help? Thanks. -

E3200 - USB port does NOT work for more than one device
We needed a new router that had the dual band connectivity as our previous router stopped working properly when we started using a baby monitor operating on the same 2.4 GHz. The choice was between E3200 and E2500. We chose the E3200 mainly because it also offered a USB port. We were hoping to use that to connect our printer and two external drives (thus bypassing our old desktop that's been working as a server). However, it turns out that the USB port on E3200 does NOT support USB hubs! So, you can ONLY use ONE device - either a printer or one external storage drive. That wasn't really clear at all from the description. I feel like we wasted the extra $50 hoping to get functionality that just isn't there. Can't believe that in this day and age, Cisco thinks we all have only ONE USB device we might want to connect to the network! The router itself is fast enough, but the extra $50 for a USB port that doesn't do much and some speedboost phantom ability is just not worth it.
Just to save time to you all, after numerous attempts to install a USB hub to my E3200,
I wrote to Cisco Customer Service (live chat) and I specifically requested how to set up the usb hub or the virtual USB port and they said that they do not have a software to install a USB hub.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and Volume Down button simultaneously for at least eight seconds or until the Apple logo appears. You may need to repeat this step.
If the above step did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep. Try resetting the iPod while it is connected to power. -
Any Slingboxers out there who can help me?
I have a new Slingbox Pro and it works with my network plug and play, but I can't get it configured for remote access. I have an Airport Express attached to an iMac, with a second Express acting as WDS. I plugged the SB into the WDS AE and as I said the setup worked fine. But no remote viewing. I have found lots of info on the SB board but none about this particular setup and none that has helped me make this work.
I suspect it has something to do with port forwarding... but not sure.
Anyone out there with experience who could lend a hand? Thanks.Actually, I also figured it out -- it was pretty easy.
1) Make sure you have an Airport express (in my case, an Airport Extreme Base Station) connected to the internet.
2) A second AX is set up as a wireless bridge (i.e, to join the existing Airport network to extend the range of the AEBS).
3) Slingbox is connected to the ethernet port on the second AX.
4) Run the Slingbox Setup Assistant. An IP address (10.0.1.XXX) will get assigned to the Slingbox.
5) Using Airport Admin Utility, open up the AEBS and configure "Port Mapping" to forward public port 5001 to private port 5001 and in the space for the "private address" fill in the XXX from the IP address previously assigned to the Slingbox.
Go somewhere outside your network to check your connection; you should be good to go. The entire process was complete in under 10 minutes. -

It looks fine in iweb, but not in the browser after publishing... I'ts only with small logo images with hard graphichs in jpeg, its not my compression, it looks fine before publishing...dear wyodor, I thought that I explained my problem all right in my post? well,
when I put a logo in the corner of my site -in my case a jpg file with some text, it looks good in iweb, but after publishing its not possible to read the small text because of the way iweb compress photos - my question is -can I do anything to keep the jpeg-compression i made i photoshop? Ok, so yesterday, my computer stopped reading any of the two external 500 gig Lacie drives or any Compact Flash card I put in the reader on my printer. When I go to Disk Utility it says "Gathering Disk Information" and stays like that forever. In fact the program seems frozen, I can't quit it with out Force quiting it. But when I turn off the external drive or pull out the CF card, Disk Utility starts working again.
This is horrible, because A. I do a lot of digital photography, and B. I have a years worth of work on a movie on one of the 500 gig drives. I called Lacie and told the guy the problem. He told me to hold so he can talk to his coworkers. After 20 minutes he came back and said NO ONE has heard of that problem.

JustinSo I figured I wrote alot already in the previous post. But here's what brought on the problem.
About a week ago, my 500gig Lacie external drive didn't show up on my computer. I tried everything and in the end (at the advice of Lacie) I bought another 500 gig drive and had the brains swapped by a pc repair place. (The told me that both drives worked when viewing them on a PC with a Mac reading software.) I connected the new drive up with the movie data on it to my computer and... SUCCESS! It showed up, so I went to transfer the data to a THIRD drive that I "borrowed" from work but during the transfer, the transfer froze.
So I restarted the computer and tried again. This time, neither my the new drive with the movie data showed up or the drive from work. And not only that the memory card in my printer no longer showed up. After about 30 restarts and screaming and my frozen Disk Utility (see previous post) I took the two drives to my work to try them on my computer their. (Exact Same kind of COmptuer) I plugged in my external drive from work and that showed up. I then plugged in my new drive that I bought and had put the movie data in and all it did was flash it's pathetic little blue light at me and show NOTHING on the desktop.
So I restarted the computer, and low and behold would you believe, the computer could still not read the drive with the movie on it, but now it couldnt read my drive from work either!!!! IS THERE A VIRUS ON MOVIE DRIVE???
THE PRESENT:
I took the drive with the movie data on it and the work drive to the PC Repair place, their he was able to get both drive up and he did the transfer for me. I connected the work drive at my friends computer and it showed up. YES! So I took the other drive to my house to see if it works... NO. And still even having a CF card in the printer is making my disk utility freeze up.
I know this is a crap load of writing and if you got this far I thank you already. If you can help me at all getting my computer back to its former Ext. Hard drive/CF Card loving days, I will get 20 dollars in your hands. Paypal, check, cash, what ever.

i was all happy with my iphone 4 suddnly in games the game center massage said "welcome Sharon1122" ***Sandbox*** (its was suppost to say welcome Sharon2018 but i didnt noticed that but i saw that "sandbox" there)
i didnt care at the begining then i found out that all my achievments are saved on this "Sharon1122 sandbox" account and all my friends and achievments on other account....
i tried to logout and login and its worked agian on my account (with all my freinds and achievments i had like 2XXXX achievments)
i thought everything was ok until i started to play a game and it always said that im not connected to game center and ask me for my apple id and my password
i put my password and agian it logged to the Sharon1122 "Sandbox" account that i really have NO idea where he came from!
after alot of tries and looking for a solution on the internet i coudnt play a game with my Sharon2018 regular account
i was really upset so i tried to go into gamecenter when its logged to the "sandbox" account and change the name and password (which i do remember the password that i changed) and also changed the email to stuff that i dont remember i just write like name:adsoj email:[email protected]
cause i didnt care about that account i wanted my account so i changed everything and then i logged out and tryed to go into my regular Sharon2018 account put my Apple ID and password and its said that its not vaid (i think this sandbox account and my account was somehow linked togther)
so it means i changed also my password and id and not only that! it also changed for the appstore itunes icloud find my iphone

just connected my sony reader PRS 600 on the first PC (with the first account) it immediatelly deleted my possibility to read the formerly installed ebooks from the second PC. Now what can I do to reinstall the possibility to read all my many books from the second PC on my PRS 600 ?I just want to read what I paid for on my ereader without having two different adobe digital accounts. JanThere is no way to merge to the two accounts
Your choices are:
Talk to the technical support for the stores where you bought the books, and request redownloads for all of the content in one account, and make sure that you associate it with the other account.
Manage both accounts using different OS level users. - (wont work for Sony Readers)
