My old email is inactive, can't remember password

I started an Apple account a long time ago. My old email account is inactive and I can't remember the password. I've tried to reset it but it says my birthday is incorrect.

Hello,
First off, ignore Blend for now...get your device/BBID straightened out first. Please see this "sticky" post for helpful information concerning your BBID situation:
http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-World/How-to-regain-access-to-your-BBID/td-p/25467...
Hopefully, this information will be of use to you.Given what you describe, it is most likely that you will have to abandon your BBID, WIPE your device, and start over again with a brand new BBID (and this time, take heed of the high security and don't lose track of the credentials/associated email accounts).
As for the backup/restore problem and it's association of the BBID to link, complete documentation of your configuration (email accounts, configurations, etc.) should allow you to manually reconfigure afterwards, and that would then re-sync any of your accounts/data that are on servers somewhere. If you have only been storing contacts/calendar/etc on the device itself...well, that indeed is a problem. I'm not sure there is a way to overcome that, given the tie within LINK of a backup file to a BBID. Maybe you can find an older version of LINK that does not have that tie-in (and no, I do not know what version to recommend nor where to find it).
Cheers, and Good Luck!

  • HT1920 I originally opened my acct on one email address then switched to another. My PC crashed, had to replace my hard drive. I can not longer access turnes under old email... do not remember password.  what do i do

I originally open my iTunes account using a comcast email account, I then switched to a verizon account.  I do not remember the password associated with the account when it was opened under the comcast email and no longer have the comcast email account.  My PC recently crashed and I had to replace the hard drive.  I have my saved back up files on my new drive...  but can not access the iTunes purchased when on my comcast email address and have no way of getting emails on comcast address to get password required to access old purchases.  How do I get the use of these older song purchases?

Hello! I have a macbook air and my apple ID is using my old email that I don't remember the password to. I want to switch it to my most recent email. How can I do this?

Change your old Apple ID using this link:
    https://appleid.apple.com/
Click the blue Manage your Apple ID button.
Its password is unrelated to the password you use for the email associated with it.
If you don't remember the Apple ID password, click the Reset your password link.
I already have a new apply id that is set on my phone and ipad. I just want to switch it to that one...
You cannot change your Apple ID to another one that is already in use - in this case, the one you created for your iPnone and iPad. Decide which Apple ID you want to keep. If you need to change it, change it - don't create a new one.

    Hello Arnas333
You would need access to that account in order to reset the questions. If you do not have access to it, then you will need to contact iTunes Store support in order to resolve the issue.

If you updated your existing account then try logging out of it on the iPhone by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPhone. If you created a new account then any content that you purchased/downloaded via the old account will remain tied to that old account, and only that old account can download updates to its apps.

  • My Icloud is tuck on my old email adress. i can not retreive the password becaue when i request the email it doent get sent to thi adress. how can i change it sothat my icloud is on my new email. i cant login or out of icloud now.

To change the iCloud ID on your phone you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

I am trying to update my apps. When it prompts for my password my old deleted email address comes up. I don't even rember the password for that old email. How can I get to update my apps with my current email?

All apps are tied to the Apple ID they are purchased with and is not transferable.
Delete app and download app with your new Apple ID.

  • My i-cloud has an old email address, how can i change it?

my i-cloud has an old email address, how can i change it? When I try to delete the account to set up a new one it keeps asking for the password that I dont have. What can I do?

If the old ID is yours, and if it is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • My new mac book air will not show old emails.  how can i fix this problem

my new mac book air will not show old emails.  how can i fix this problem

The answer depends on a number of factors, such as the following:
If you have more than one email account, does this problem affect one, some, or all of your accounts?
Where did you last see this mail -- in your Inbox(es)? in some other folder(s) outside your Inbox(es)? somewhere else?
How old is the missing email -- yesterday? just before you got the new computer? over a week? over a month? over a year?
How are you reading email -- with the builtin Mail application? with some other mail-reading application? with a web browser?
How do you access your email on the server -- IMAP? POP? Exchange? web browser? other?
What version of OS X is on your new computer -- Mavericks (10.9.x)? Mountain Lion (10.8.x)?
Did you migrate your data and applications from your old computer when you set up your new computer?
For example, if the missing mail is the mail that was in your Inbox before you got the new computer, you are reading it with the builtin Mail via POP, and you failed to migrate data, then the mail was left behind on the old computer. The same would be true if the mail was in "On My Mac" mailboxes and you failed to migrate data.

  • Trying to access iCloud acct, can't remember password to an earlier email!

When I first set up my iCloud acct. on my iPhone 5s (7.1.1), I had a different email address than I do now. In trying to log in, it asks me for a long-forgotten password to this old email.
How can I resolve this???? I can't even delete the account because it requires that same old password first before I can turn off "Find My Phone."
    HELP!!

    Hi dorothy,
You need to follow these instructions to get your iCloud up to date:
    1.     Go to Manage your Apple ID, sign in with your current Apple ID and Edit the ID back to the old email address. This is temporary. Do NOT verify it, do NOT change the password: Apple - My Apple ID
    2.     Go to Settings>iCloud and scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Delete Account. Type in your current Apple ID password when asked. Follow the prompts to delete the iCloud account from your device
    3.     Go back to Manage your Apple ID and sign on with the old email address/current password, and Edit the ID back to the new email address (you may have to verify it again)
    4.     Go back to Settings>iCloud and sign onto iCloud with the new Apple ID
    Cheers,

  • Trying to Import music i purchased from old account to new & can't remember old account info

Trying to Import music i purchased from old account to new & can't remember old account info nor does it exsist.  what to do???   thanks

This isn't really an iTunes Match questions but I'll give it a shot.
Unfortunately, you must remember the username and password for that account. If you can't you won't be able to play that protected music. There's really no way around this.
