My personal toolbar (from Conduit) isn't recognized by Firefox 4.0. Do I have to wait until Conduit catches up to Firefox 4 or is there something that I can do to get it to work?

I have a toolbar that I use in conjunction with my website (http://www.sec-world.com). The toolbar is provided by Conduit and it does not show up in the new Beta version of Firefox 4.

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. The latest version that runs on OS X 10.4.11 is Firefox 3.6, you can get it from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

My personal choice would be to use MPEG Streamclip (free) with the QT MPEG-2 Playback component ($20) installed to manually convert your files. This does, however, assumed that you cane either download/copy your DVD content directly from the camcorder to your hard drive or can do so from the DVD when inserted into your computer. This, therefore, assumes that you have finalized the DVD (if required) and it is either inserted into the computer or the camcorder is properly connected, powered, and recognized as an external device. In most cases, users forget to "finalize" their DVD and most devices (other than the camcorder itself) will not recognize the content until the disc is properly closed.

No app is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.

There have been many many threads on this. Here is what is going on. When Apple made Passbook, it was almost like a showcase for business that wish to participate. The problem is that Apple build a nice stage, but none of the businesses learned the music. so to speak. Starbucks says that they will be ready by October. In the meanwhile, if you select the appstore button when you open Passbook, you will see the apps that are ready or currently working toward integration.
There is also a website called www.passsource.com in which you can make your own, email them to yourself and it will move into the Passbook app. I tried Best Buy and Staples using this website already and it worked out ok. As far as out of the box functionality, not really there yet.

The sort fields should generally be empty unless you've putting in custom values to sort solo artists by their surnames. You can apply common changes to thousands of tracks at once, just don't apply the wrong change because there is no undo.
It is a good idea to backup before undertaking large scale changes. See this backup tip for a suggested approach.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
If you are using the same ID as a primary iCloud login, then yes she can see your photos in photostream if you have it enabled.
You can use the same ID for iTunes so you can share all your purchases, but you need different ID's for iCloud.
Unfortunately, the mess caused by sharing the ID, will need to be sorted manually, once you both have your own ID's.

I can no longer get safari to work. bookmarks gone..google will bring up cnn.com but I can't scroll it or get ride of keyboard...

First, double tap on the home button and your recent apps will appear in an area across the bottom of the iPad. Find the Safari icon and hold down on it until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the icon to quit the app. Tap the Home button again to stop the apps from wiggling then tap anywhere on the screen to return to the home screen.
Now go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, clear cookies, clear cache. Then tap the home button again to return to the home screen.
Now restart the iPad. Hold down on the sleep button until the red slider appears then slide to shut down. To start up again, hold down on the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and then let go of the button.
After the iPad has fully restarted, try the Safari App again.

You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them.

You don't need to have Lightroom 3 and 4 installed on your computer to install Lightroom 5. Just install Lightroom 5 and input your serial number for 3 in the previous version box and your serial number for 5 in the upgrade box.

If you mean that your iPad is not appearing in iTunes then have you got the latest version of iTunes (it needs version 10.2 +) and is your OS X version 10.5.8 + ? There is further troubelshooting help here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1591

So why can I not get iTunes working well?? It now takes at least 10 secs for any operation to be completed!
That is just plain evil. But I am sure I could do something to help.
All the music is on an 2T external drive.

Brigancook, is the library database on the external or just the media? iTunes reevaluates smart playlists and rewrites its database after every action on the library. I've found this can make a library half that size, with a lot of smart playlists, quite sluggish. That said I'm aware part of my problem is aging hardware. Having the database on the internal drive may improve performance if it is currently on the external.
I'd expect to see an exponential relationship between size and response time which may explain what you see. Cutting down on the number of smart playlists might help. If we're really lucky the long awaited iTunes 11 might have streamlined some of the background processes as well as cleaning up the front end.

A Playlist idiot. Why can't I get this to work?

In iTunes I have music Playlists set to shuffle (blue double arrow button) and audio books Playlist set no shuffle. I have been unable to get my iPod to follow these settings. A suggested work around is to use the iPod Settings to set the shuffle function to "songs" when playing music and then switching to off for audio books. There has to be a better way. How do I set the Playlists on my iPod to function the same as it does on iTunes?

Using your process are you able to set your iPod to shuffle then listen to the audio book without it shuffling the chapters? I have tried your suggestion with the iPod setting set to shuffle and the chapters shuffled. This is the issue from my original post. I want to listen to music with the shuffle function and listen to audio books (no shuffle) without having to change the settings every time I switch.
Keep in mind that is not a purchased audio nor a imported book.
