My phone auto synced with my pc now all my vids are gone is there a way to retrieve them?

Hi I connected my phone to my pc to charge it and it auto synced I had videos on the phone of my sisters wedding is ere anyway to get these back once the sync has been completed. I attempted to load the backup created before the sync but it didn't changed anything. Please help as Hess videos are very importan to me

Photos/videos captured by the iPhone which are stored in the iPhone's Camera Roll are not touched or included with the iTunes sync process except for being included with the iPhone's backup.
If these were videos that were captured by your iPhone, they weren't removed from your iPhone's Camera Roll by syncing with iTunes alone, which is not possible.
What else was done besides syncing? Even if this could be done by syncing with iTunes alone, there is no setting under any of the various tabs for the iPhone sync preferences with iTunes that has anything to do with or affects the Camera Roll.

I have exactly the same problem on my ipad. It is happening on only some contacts but, as with you, when I delete one of the contacts on the ipad, the second ipad contact and the contact on the imac are also deleted. This is even the case when I have differentiated the two contacts on the ipad and can see the one I have deleted on the ipad is not the same one as is then deleted on the imac.

I downloaded a opensource viewer that looked good, but still don't get anything that remotely resembles my old bookmarks. Since upgrading to FF 4, I have constant crashes (updating graphics drivers did not help). now all my bookmarks are gone. When I try to restore them, I get error message: "Unable to process the backup file".

I am also unable to restore any of the backups of the bookmarks, both automatic backups and two backups that I created manually. Since I was able to restore backups before, and since no changes have occurred to these backup files, the problem must be with Firefox.
Right before my bookmarks disappeared, FF crashed and I accidentally started FF 3.5. When I saw what I did, I ended the Firefox process and started FF 4. That's when all my bookmarks were gone and I discovered I couldn't retrieve any backups. I did note that an add-on was updated when I restarted FF. Maybe that's the problem. Does FF have a Safe mode?

Just did a sync with my iphone and all my books are gone in itunes and my phone!

How can I retrieve my audible books after syncing my iphone. It asked if I wanted to transfer my new iphone apps to itunes and I said yes. It transferred those apps but deleted all my audible books. I tried to use time machine to go back to before the sync but I get this message.
“iTunes” can’t be modified or deleted because it’s required by Mac OS X.
What can I do to get them back.

Please don't type in block capitals, they are harder to read and it feels like you're shouting at the reader.
Try re-start the Phone and if that fails try reset the phone.

My iphoto was rebuilding and now all my pictures are gone

so tonight i ws trying to open my iphoto and it said it had to rebuild well i have a lot of picture and it was going on all day maybe 8hours and then it just stop well then i just froced quit, now when i reopen iphoto it act like i have never used it before and now all my pictures are gone is there any way to get them all back and i haven't use my time machine in awhile because i real didn't know what it does is there any way anyone can help me it all my family pictures for the last 3 years and it all my sons pictures i need them back

worst case is that you have to control click on iphoto library and choose show package contents then you should be able to find all your photos under under masters where the photos are sorted by year i hope this helps and that you havent lost any photos

It restored the backup that was made on your computer 6 months ago, which did not contain those photos. You're wasting your time trying to find them on the phone. They don't exist.
Hopefully, your friend syncs her phone to her own computer on a regular basis. She needs to plug her phone into her computer and restore it from her last backup. That will restore it to the state it was in when the backup was made.
She also needs to get in the habit of extracting the photos on a regular basis, like she would from any other digital camera.

The iphone is designed to be synced to your computer regularly. Your contacts will be in whatever program you have chosen to sync. Just sync them back

If your phone was backed up to your computer, the backup would contain your camera roll photos (and videos). Restoring to this backup would recover them. However, if it was backed up a second time after losing them, this would overwrite the backup containing the data and your photos would be lost.
You can try restoring to your backup, but before doing so go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and check "Prevent...from syncing automatically". This will prevent the phone from automatically syncing and backing up when you connect it to your computer, thereby overwriting the backup you want to restore to. After doing this, open iTunes on your computer and connect your phone, then right-click on the name of your phone on the left side of iTunes and choose Restore from Backup. (If you have iTunes 11 first go to View>Show Sidebar.)
Again this might work, as long as the phone was only backed up and then not subsequently backed up again after the photos were lost.

If you are sharing the same iCloud account your data will be merged. Then if she deleted your contacts from her device, they would have been deleted from yours too.
The first thing to do is migrate your daughter's iPod to her own iCloud account (you can continue to share the same iTunes ID; it does not need to be the same as the ID you use for iCloud). To do this, start by saving any photo stream photos she wants to keep to her camera roll (unless already there) by opening her my photo stream album, tapping Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward pointing arrow), then tap Save to Camera Roll. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud), choose Keep on My iDevice and provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone. Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create her new account and choose Merge to upload your data.
