Sounds like your iPhone is locked to AT&T. Contact them to see
if you qualify for unlocking.

Where did you get the phone? If it was previously locked to a carrier and was hacked/jailbroken to use it on a different carrier, updating the phone has re-locked it to the original carrier. ONLY the carrier it is locked to can authorize and unlock.

Since upgrading my Mac book pro with Yosemite, I have problems with my Xerox Work Centre 3045 printer. The printer works normally but it does not recognise scanner, I can not scan anything. Can you help?
Open Disk Utility and select your hard drive, then Repair Permissions, it will probably return a very large number of errors, primarily printer and library errors, so run it a second time. Then restart the MacBook Pro. If it still will not scan, try using Image Capture from Finder > Applications and see if that will work. If not, contact Xerox about updated drivers.

Any 3gs user with ios5 update have trouble with wifi?
After updating to ios5, the wifi reception is weak. I get only a couple pf bars even in the same room as the router. And once I setp out of the room, I get no signal. The GPS cannot lock on my position.
I have the smae problem, my old 2G phone and iTouch both have great signal throughout the house but my 3GS does not. And It was not the case before upgrade to iso5. Also I use my maps a lot and never had any trouble getting lock on signal before ios5 upgrade. Now it will not lock on my position. I use the maps feature exclusively for getting around and checking travel time and traffic. Is there any soultion?

What can I do? Get a new SIM and see if it works again?
Get a micro-SIM from the carrier in Mexico that you don't have to manually cut down. If that carrier doesn't provide one, switch to another carrier that is not so low-budget. -

It does sound like the logic board. It's not uncommon for an iBook with a faulty logic board to work intermittently. You can't count on it, though. It could fail completely at any time.
DT&T Computer Services in Fremont, California has the best deal I've found on logic board replacements. They do free diagnostics, so they would make sure that's what you need, and there is a six-month warranty on the repair.

If you have never connected the phone to iTunes and backed it up or used iCloud to backup your data, it is lost at this point.
The only way to get back into the phone is to restore it.

I'm traveling to Europe (France and Lithuania) with my iPhone 5s. I would like to buy a local SIM card for use while in each country. Some sources (Verizon phone support) say this is as easy as buying the card and inserting in place in the slot. Others (Apple Genius) say I must completely restore the iPhone if I replace the sim card. Still others say I cannot use a local sim card. Can you help me find the correct information? That's a wonderful question, ssmiley67. The iPhone 5s comes unlock for international use. Many of our LTE devices are unlocked for international purposes and work upon inserting the international SIM in the device.
