After update my i phone 4 to IOS 6.1 , my phonenumber not showing up under the phone app and i couldnot get I massege and face time to varify . and it took 2 days till nowand still said waiting for activation .
when you open the phone app it said my phone unknown
can you please tellmewhat to do v?

Looka like a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is required...

The number that shows above the keypad is the number you dial. Your own number will show at the top of the contacts list. A quick way to get to the top of the list is to tap the top bar where the time is shown.

Why is my phone number not showing up in iMessage?

I have a MacBook running 10.8.2 and iMessage does not have my iPhone number as part of the account. I'd like iMessages sent to my iPhone to also show up in iMessage on my MacBook. How do I get my phone number to show up in my Apple account on my MacBook?
I tried logging out of my Apple account on my MacBook, then logging out of the same account on iPhone, then disabling iMessage on iPhone, then enabling iMessage on iPhone and logging back into the Apple account, then logging back into the Apple account on my MacBook. That didn't bring my phone number into iMessage on my MacBook.

Actually that is not true
The Message Beta app Synced Apple ID iMessages but not iMessages sent to the iPhone Number.
This effectively made those iPhone to iPhone conversations private.
It did seem the Mountain Lion advertised that the iPhone Number syncing would happen on release but we had to wait to OS X 10.8.2 and iOS 6
I dis the Mac OS first and then the iOS devices.
I got pop up messages to say the Message app on the Mac would be using the iPhone Number (with Accept or Not options)
I was able to keep my second iPhone Unlinked from the Messages app.
I know some people are waiting on updating the Mac OS for some non Apple Apps to be updated.
Others are waiting on the iOS front for something to replace Maps with.

TS1538 The device do not show at the itune after update at itune

How to solve the device do not show at the itune after the update thru itune.
Now the ipad mini keep show the screen on "USB syr to itune"

Try and turn off iPad and proceed to step 3 of Recovery Mode.
Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times.

I have the ipad, Iphone, and a mac mini. I am confused as to why my phone number is not showing up in imessage and facetime on my mac mini and ipad. I had it set up but for some reason it is not working now, it just shows my apple sign in email address. How can I fix this?

Here is a troubleshooting resources I would recommend going through when experiencing this issue.
Phone number missing on iPad or iPod touch
If your phone number isn't listed on an iPod touch or iPad, follow these steps:
Update to the latest version of iOS.
Verify that you're using the same Apple ID that you're using on your iPhone.
On your iPad or iPod touch, sign out of your Apple ID in the following locations:
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Settings > FaceTime. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Sign in to your Apple ID with FaceTime and iMessage.
If your phone number still isn't listed, follow these steps:
Sign out of your Apple ID on all iOS devices, including your iPhone, in the following locations:
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Settings > FaceTime. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Sign in to your Apple ID on your iPhone.
When activation is complete, your Apple ID and all verified email addresses should be visible in Settings > Messages > Receive At and Settings > FaceTime.
Sign in to your Apple ID on your other iOS devices.

New iPhone phone number not showing in iTunes

Hi,
I bought an iPhone 5s today and after syncing my iTunes content from iTunes to the new phone I've noticed that my new phone numer isn't showing like it did with the 3GS. The phone itself is showing up ok, as is my music content and apps, but the phone number isn't. Its not a big deal but I thought I'd ask all the same as it might help someone in the future.

This happened to me also.. Got me concerned when I didn't see my number in iTunes.. After a couple days (could have been less, I didn't notice) it appeared again. It was working fine so I didn't really mind. I don't think though that it has anything to do with the VM seeing as my VM had been working fine when I noticed the number missing.
Anyway, it works now so...

My phone is sending imessages to my contacts, but it is showing up on people's phones as coming from my email and no matter what I try to do, my phone number just isn't working. My cell service is on and wifi too, I don't know how to fix this.

Phone number not showing up in Imessage

I use to be able to send receive messages with my Ipad using my phone number instead of my email. Now the phone number isn't even listed anymore. Everything on my Iphone is fine. All my id's are listed on that device. I have done a hard reset on both devices. When I go into setting-imessage-send receive. I only have 1 email listed. Any suggestions on what else to do? I have seen other discussions on this subjet. Many talk about caller Id but I don't see that in my options.

Thanks for your help. I had to add one more step to your suggestion. First time around it didn't work. Second time I decided to turn off my wifi and run only on the cell network. That seems to have helped.

Phone not showing up in WMP after update

After updating to Android 4.4.2 recently, phone shows up in Computer when connected via USB, but no longer in WMP, which it did perfectly fine before. Any tips anyone?

Ipod touch will not show up in itunes after update 11.1.14.62

After updating iTunes to 11.1.14.62 my 3 of my 4 devices will not show up in iTunes. I have two iPod touch devices, an iPhone 4, and an old iPod Shuffle. The only one that shows up is the iPod Shuffle. Everything was fine until this latest update. I've checked with other people and they're having the same issue. I have Windows 8.1 64 bit.

Apple TV icon is not showing on macbook pro after update to Mountain lion

I wanted to try Mirroring from my macbook pro to my tv using the new airplay update from Mountain lion but the icon is not showing after the update.

My phone number not showing

I seem to remember ticking a box that kept my landline calls anonymous which seemed a good idea at the time but now I realise that everyone does the same as me and simply ignores my calls (I know we don't answer 'withheld numbers).
I cannot find anyway of rectify the situation or indeed any correct term/description to enter in a search to get help.
Please does anyone have any ideas on how to change my number from withheld to the number?

Photo stream photos not showing up in screensaver after update

AFter the current update my Apple TV has been unable to find any pictures from my "photo stream" which I used as a screensaver for my apple tv. My phone and computer both show "846" photos in iCloud. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Already tried resetting. Already tried restoring to factory settings and reinstalling latest software. Neither helpeD. Thank you.

Photo stream only shows up to 1000 photos from the last 30 days, it may simply be referencing the latest stream.

does anyone know how this can be resolved?

Reset the device. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. See if it works after that, it should. This will not affect your data.
