My plugins (inserts) are showing a strike-through them and all get is a track without any effects on it. How do restore the remove the strike-through of the plugin?

I completed a projected which I saved and closed. Afterward I reopened it to make some changes but found that all the plugins (inserts) in all the tracks had strike-through signs on them and when i tried to play the project all I got was sound without any effects. How can I fix this issue?

That would indicate that the plugin or plugins in question.. are no longer available... for some reason..
Did you change Logic's start up mode from 32 to 64 bit after you last saved that song? (and the plugins you were using were 32bit only versions)
Have you checked the AU Plugin Manager to make sure those plugins are still available?
Were the plugins used, demo versions that have now expired or become disabled for whatever reason?

What IS going on here?? My friends, colleagues, and students (I teach college) are mystified by these ancient messages.

None of the spreadsheet apps that work with Excel files offer anything like full native support in iOS. Apple's own Numbers app pairs down features for the iOS version. The hardware is simply not up to what a true computer is capable of, so all apps like QuickOffice, DocumentsToGo, Numbers and so forth offer reduced features from their computer-version counterparts.
I think a custom app will be your only real choice, be it a fully standalone app, or something built in filemaker or some other db-based platform.

I posted this almost a month ago, I'm surpirsed noone else had had this issue...
I don't sync that often (yeah, I know, crusify me), but tonight I went to synchronise again and I got a different photo that wont come over....
In addition to the above:
- the photos are taken with the same camera, on the same date and time as other photos around it...
So "why is it now no longer compatible with iphone4?"????
If I unsync a photo, it just gives me a new photo it can't sync.

How to show all view tab (Main Report and all of Sub Report) in one action.
I already know how to show Main Report with this code sample:

Your right, there is only one tab to view the report.
To open the subreports you will need to click on them in the main report. I don't know of a way to open them programmatically like you are doing here

Podcasts are showing up under Albums, Songs and Artists categories on iPod

I recently purchased an iPod - 80gb. I used iTunes to subscribe to several podcasts.
On iTunes the podcasts are in the podcasts folder, the music is in the music folder - happy days!
However, on my ipod, as well as being listed under the podcast category, they are also accessible from Albums, Artists and Songs. This is seriously annoying.
Is this a bug? A girl who worked in the Apple store seems to think it might be when I brought my ipod in for them to check.
I use iTunes only to manage podcasts and music. I tried a restore and it's still the same.
The related issue is that while the podcasts sync fine and appear as desired in the podcast category, the played podcasts are still available via Albums, Artists and Songs even though I've instructed iTunes to only sync unplayed items.
Will this be fixed? Is there a workaround?

Unless Apple changes the software, there is no real fix. If you don't want podcasts to play when you're shuffling your music library, make sure the podcasts are set to Skip When Shuffling (under Get Info). And you can send your feedback to Apple here:

Note that some anti-virus/firewall software and programs like Sendori, FiddlerRoot, or BrowserProtect can intercept your secure connections and send their own certificate instead of the website's certificate.

Printed photos from Aperture 3.2.1 have lines through them - don't get that when printing from iPhoto

I recently downloaded Aperture 3.2.1 and after editing a couple photos (love that process!), tried to print them. Both had horizontal lines across the entire photo. I don't have this problem when printing from iPhoto.
As an FYI, I have this problem when printing from PSE too, but worked around it by importing edited photo back into iPhoto and printing from there. I don't want to do that with Aperture, because they have much better printing choices.
I have a Canon MP 500 & a Canon IP 4300 - same issue with either one.
I contacted Canon tech support and got this reply:
We appreciate your correspondence regarding your PIXMA MP500. I am sorry that lines are printing through photos printed from aperture.
If aperture is the only program the issue occurs with then the print setting in aperture will need to be changed. You will need to use the icc profiles for the paper you are using. I looked at the link and basically had a brain freeze. It was very complex, and I was concerned that it was for Red River papers - I use HP paper.
I called HP to get their instructions for icc color printer profiles - complete zero. They said it's a printer issue and would be happy to sell me a HP printer.
Please, can anyone help a struggling Aperture newbie? I'm so frustrated.

Your recap is correct. I ran Apple Software Update and both programs are up to date. I looked on Canon's site and there are no new firmware updates for either printer.
When I select "print" in Aperture, I've selected the Canon MP500. Under the "Rendering" section, the color profile offers six different selections that include the MP500. I've tried them all. They all have lines through them. There is a note, in grey, beneath the Color Profile box, that says to "Turn off color management in the printer driver". I have absolutely no idea how to do that, and I've googled it, to no avail
Under "Render Intent" I've tried both selections - Relative Colorimetric and Perceptual. Still, lines through both.
This is really discouraging. Both printers work perfectly fine - with iPhoto, so it's hard for me to justify buying a new printer. And how do I know I wouldn't have the same problem with a new printer?
Fingers crossed that this can be resolved. I have several photos I'm supposed to be printing for gifts. And if the problem is in Aperture or PSE, won't the lines still be there even if I use one of the online printing companies?

Whenever I log on to a website (Ex: gmail, facebook) a drop down menu of the past usernames shows up. How do I delete them and or get rid of that feature?

For example, every time I log onto facebook, a huge dropdown menu shows up under the area where I enter my username. In this dropdown menu, all of the usernames that have been used before on my computer show up. The same thing happens with gmail, yahoo mail, and any other website that requires usernames.
How do I make the names go away? Getting rid of the dropdown list OR clearing the history of names would be fine.

Take a look in the System folder. Usually there is only a Library folder, but when installations have cleanup, there may be another folder in the System folder that is accessed at the restart. If that is the case, you might want to move that folder to your desktop and see what a normal restart does.

I have roadrunner e-mail as a tab on my homepage. At one time I was asked, do you want to save user name and password, I responded yes. Every time I wanted to access my e-mail Your session has expired. Please log in again would come up and I would follow the instructions and could access my e-mail. Today I'm unable to access my e-mail here, but can open it at internet explorer. I even tried my wife's e-mail, which her info isn't saved and it goes back to my log in screen.

Are you clearing cookies when you exit Firefox? Check the setup in Options > Privacy > "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings to make sure that "Cookies" is not checked. If you use the "Clear Recent History" item in the History menu, make sure that Cookies is not checked there as well.
