My Pro makes a low beeping sound once in a while and I can not find the source to this.
Can anyone help? This beeping sound is really annoying.
No, its just running, only things open are Safari and Mail.

ProtectMac AV alerted to a trojan and was unable to remove it. The Geeks at Best Buy could not sort it and recommended reinstalling the OS so I off-loaded the files and 1200 pics from Europe to a flash drive. I reinstalled Snow Leopard, iWork, and upgraded from Office: Mac 08 to Office: Mac 2011.
Once the system was proved up the files were reloaded but the flash drive failed before the pictures could be reloaded. Is there a way to recover the pictures that were in iPhoto which is not here even with a search. All I can find is:

I could get into the registry on a widows machine safely but know nothing about a Mac. I read up a bit on the Terminal and Commands but prefer to not be trolling around with the unknown. Any idea where iPhoto went and why? Thanks! /joeWhen you backed up to the flash drive did you copy the iPhoto Library that was in the Pictures folder? If you had copied it intact and then back you would have your library back.
You can try using MediaRECOVER or SubrosaSoft FileSalvage to try to recover what's on the flash drive. Both will let you run it in demo mode to see if you can recover the photos before you have to purchase.

An adaptor doesn't burn out. It merely serves as a means to connect the power prongs on your device to the power supply.
I believe you are thinking of a transformer, which you do not need. A transformer converts one voltage to another.
You don't need to do that as the power supply of modern electronics can take almost any worldwide voltage.
Look at the label on the device. It should indicate the input power acceptable of 100-240 VAC, 50-60 Hz.
Additionally, I found the adapters cheaper in the UK than I found them in the US. They were available in most supermarket chains. I wasn't in Ireland, so I can't say one way or the other.
If you have something that doesn't have that input power spec, it would require a transformer.
On other items like electric clocks or things with motors, you can connect them up to a transformer and the voltage will be correct, but the frequency may not. For clocks, that will cause them to not keep time well. For motors, they will burn out. -

What Nexus 7 version do you have as there was a 2012 and a 2013 model. A easy way to tell if it is a 2013 is it has a camera on each '''back''' and front while 2012 only has one on front.
If it is the 2012 then it has a Nvidia Tegra 3 so the old Flash 11.1 Plugin is disabled.

IPhoto can not find the original photo, does iPhoto copy the photo or just make a thumbnail?

I'm scanning and putting all of my (paper) photos into my computer and then into iPhoto, tagging them, and doing all the time consuming things necessary to build a good library.
I've tried to open a few of the events and look at the photos I put in but I get an error that iPhoto can not find the original photo. When I put a photo into iPhoto does the program only make a thumbnail copy with a link to the original, or does it actually copy the photo into the library? I'm thinking the former. Because I have a Time Machine backup, a hard copy, and (presumably) a copy in iPhoto, I have been deleting the photos AFTER putting them into iPhoto. Do I need to keep the photos I put in iPhoto on my computer? Will I need to go into TM and restore them? Will I loose the information like Faces, Places, Keywords, if I do?

I'm working with 9.1.2I have exactly the same problem except my photo is named "L1000093.jpg" and it's been there for a year now, but suddenly, when I wanted to view it in it's album, ("Favorite" which has been there for a year too), it says "The photo P1010311.jpg cannot be found"!!! What the heck is going on? So I canceled, went back to the album, clicked on L1000093, clicked "show event", went over to Event, clicked "reveal in finder" and there it is, iPhoto Library/Master/blah blah blah... L1000093.jpg!
Where the hack did that P1010311.jpg came from? Sure I have that photo, but it's in a completely different event and a different album! What's is iPhoto 11 / Lion / iTunes 10.5.3(3) up to?
So I threw L1000093jpg into the trash, went into Lightroom, find the original, re-export it, load it again into iPhoto, added it again to the album (favorite), and guess what? I just did all those and the same "The bloody photo cannot be found" message popped up and when I go to finder, there it is.
This is a bug. It's been a bug since 2006 as far as I can remember. And Apple had never done a complete fix. It's an if thing!
And the most frustrating part: Althought they call this an Apple forum and you have to sign in to participate, I have never seen one Apple software guy here saying "this is what to do", just us victims helping each other and many non-Apple folks guessing to the best of their ability to comfort us.

That is probably a lot of stuff you do not want on your iPhone. So this can be handled a few different was. For you current situation, you can delete the apps directly on your iPhone by holding on the app until it starts to jiggle and then tap on the X of all the apps that you do not want. The second thing you can do is before you sync with iTunes, look at the app section on your iPhone to know what gets transfer to it and you can deselect items that you do not want. Lastly, if you download content on your iPad and it is a universal app, you can actually download it directly to your iPhone by looking at your past purchases and download it directly from the App Store. I have one folder with several projects all of which Aperure can not find the original. I do not use referenced files. I can't make any adjustments like cropping etc. What can I do to adjust or print any of these photos? IO have no ther projects with this problem. My Aperture Library is automatically saved to two external drives.

Have you checked inside your Aperture library, if the original files are still there?
Try to find out, when the images in those projects have been originally imported, then open the Aperture library by ctrl-clicking it and using the command "Show package contents" from the pop-up menu. In the window that will open, select the folder "Masters" and browse the contents. You need to find the subfolder with the year you imported the images, then the folders with the month and the day.
Are your original files still there?
If yes, copy them to a folder on your desktop for safe-keeping, and then try, if repairing the permissions and the other Furst Aid tools will help Aperture to connect to these missing files again - see this link: Repairing and Rebuilding Your Aperture Library: Aperture 3 User Manual
If the First Aid Tools don't help, then check, if Aperture has moved the missing images to a "recovered folder". If not, reimport the images, you saved to your Desktop and use the Lift&Stamp tool to transfer any adjustment and captions to your reimported images. -

Those will identify the type and model of the missing device and I can send you the link to the drivers. It is either your AMT driver, TPM driver or IMEI driver. Does anyone know how to eliminate a mistaken apple ID that you still use as an email
but for some reason, now when I go to make a purchase at ITunes, it brings up this email

MaryPress and hold down the Power button for 5-10 seconds until the computer shuts down. Wait one minute then restart the computer from your Snow Leopard DVD using the "C" key. See the following:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Restart the computer from the Apple menuitem.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X. -

You can import your camera roll to your computer using your usb cable as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
If you're upgrading your phone, I would recommend that you backup your old phone to your computer using iTunes. Restoring an iTunes backup to your new phone will be much faster than restoring an iCloud backup, and possibly more reliable too.
To back it up to iTunes, connect it to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of your phone in iTunes, then go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Back Up Now. The go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.
When setting up your new phone, when given the option, choose Restore from iTunes Backup and restore this backup to your new phone. It will include your camera roll and other data; restoring the backup will will also sync your apps and other iTunes media from your iTunes library to your new phone.
