My router don't allow me to access a specific website

Hi,
I just bought the new EA4500 router and I'm experiencing problems to access the my bank website www.itau.com.br I can't access this website.
I thought that the problem could be with Comcast, but I tested my Mac with a cable directly connected into the cable modem and it worked fine. I was able to access every site.
It could be a problem with browser security, but I even tested with different computers (Mac, PC's, Ipad, Smartphones) and none of them were able to access the www.itau.com.br wirelessly.
It seems something strange with the router. I tested some forum solutions (MUT, QoS) but they didn't work.
Before I have this new router, it was working fine.
Any idea how I can solve this to access this website?
Thank you,
Sid
Solved!
Go to Solution.

Thanks! It is working.
In fact, I tried all those instructions and it did not work out.
However, at the end of that page, there is an instruction about "Setting up a Linksys router with Cable Internet service"
http://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?pid=80&vw=1&articleid=3686
which informs about a need to add the Mac Adress Close into the configuration of the router.
After I did that, it work out!
Thanks and best regards,
Sido

  • My router is not allowing vmware to access internet

I have vmware on my laptop which I use to test haiku and I can't seem to get on the internet. I also have vmware on my desktop which (go figure) works fantastic. So I think that narrows it down to some wireless issue with my router (linksys wrt54g). My laptop has vista on it and my desktop is arch (with gnome). any ideas would be appreciated.

On your laptop, are you bridging to the wireless interface ?
Because thats what does not work.
use NAT vmnet8 to connect with the Virtual Machine while on yourlaptop

  • In ios 8 will i get a notification to let me allow or deny access to restricted websites?

I know that in ios8 you will be able to choose if you want your child to install an app, remotely on the parents iPhone. will this also apply to websites?  at the current state parental controls blocks almost every website. It would be better if the parental controls were improved in Safari or i would be able to get a notification on my iPhone with a prompt to allow the website or not.

That would be difficult to answer. Only Apple could explain what is going to happen with that, and since iOS 8 has not been released to the public yet, it would be speculation on what it might or might not do and that is not allowed on the forum. You will have to wait until iOS 8 is released to see what function it has. Everything else about iOS 8 that has been publicly released can be found here. http://www.apple.com/ios/ios8/

  • Account access to specific websites not working

On my daughter's computer (iBook, limited rights account) she can no longer access Facebook and a few others. (these sites work fine with admin account on this machine) Heard that fixing permissions and/or repairing the Keychain would work... Nothing working so far. Though Safari was the culprit, but behavior same in: Firefox, Camino, iCab, Chrome. (uninstalled addn'l browsers after testing)
    What I've done to date:
    Reset Safari and empty cache
    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=280529
    no change
Ran Keychain First Aid and verified date and time from Apple's server

    no change
    matched proxy information
    http://superuser.com/questions/67472/safari-cant-establish-a-secure-connection-t o-the-server
    no change
repair permissions as admin, then DVD, then root
ACL found but not expected on 'private/var/root/Library/Preferences'
ACL found but not expected on 'private/var/root/Library'
ACL found but not expected on 'private/var/root'
several issues with 'permissions differ but will not be changed'
no change so far, but repair permissions from restricted account (with authorization) looks promising though I've been fooled before.
Don't want to have to nuke/rebuild the profile. I had a similar problem on my PowerBook several years ago, and APPLCARE walked me through a Terminal fix. (All my machines are out of warranty now)
    Anyone else have ideas?

Fix permissions did NOT work, neither did booting as Single User with /sbin/fsck... Disk Utility with iBook in Target Mode reports "The volume iBook appears to be OK."

  • Unable to access a specific website

Hello- I am trying to access a website that has my security camera DNS.  I continue to receive a server not found error message, yet when I contact the company www.nightowldvr.com, they say they are up and running.  They seem to think that AT&T has block their webisite.  How do I unblock this website so I can see my security cameras via the internet?  Thank you for your assistance.

If you really think ATT is blocking your site, they have a form you can fill out, asking them to un-block it for you. Don't have the link handy, but should be easy enough to find.

  • Can't access a specific website

For some reason I can't access this website:
    http://www.chandlersmillwork.com/
I called the company looking for info on a project and they sent me the link directly in an email so I know the spelling is correct. I've tried opening the page in Safari, Firefox and even IE. No luck in any app, none of them can connect to server. I've emptied their caches, repaired permissions on my boot drive, checked that nothing was checked in my proxy settings and restarted. Still can't access it using any browser.
I know for a fact the site is active because I've had people using different ISPs access the site and tell me it works for them, on both Macs and PCs.
Any idea why this won't load for me?

Haven't installed AV software or any type of parental controls whatsoever.
216.40.227.204 just brings me to an Apache cPanel page.
This is really strange why it won't come up for me but will for everyone else. I've never been to the site before as far as I know so I don't see any way I could have blocked it somehow either.

  • Can You Manage Wireless Clients Access To Specific Websites?

    Hi Team,
I am looking to use management functions like the ones I have used in Linksys WiFi Routers, such as limiting or denying access to certain external websites. I have been unable to find this capability in the Time Capsule (1TB), I just bought.
Can anyone shed some light on this area of enhanced management? Is this even possible?

Hello gbelton10. Welcome to the Apple Discussion!
    Is this even possible?
Sorry, but no. Unlike some other manufacturer's routers, the AirPort & Time Capsule do not provide this type of feature. One workaround is to use OpenDNS to filter the types of websites that can be accessed.

  • Can't access one specific website

I've been trying to visit this website for like a year now and I get the below message. http://www.alltrafficsolutions.com
"Safari could not open the page “http://www.alltrafficsolutions.com/” because the server stopped responding."
It happens on both my Macs (1.8 Ghz PowerPC G5 & eMac, OS 10.4.6, & 10.3) and all the browsers.
My ISP (cogeco cable - RCA box) said it opened fine for them and it wasn't them blocking it... they had me disconnect my router (d-link) and connect it directly to my computer but that didn't help.
I'm in Canada right now and thought it might be some kind of "international block" but I tried it on a friends dialup and it opened fine.
It's got me baffled.... any Ideas?

Weird site, though it works from here in Safari, when I Ping it I get...
    Ping has started ...
    PING www.alltrafficsolutions.com (66.221.69.2): 56 data bytes
    --- www.alltrafficsolutions.com ping statistics ---
10 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss
So perhaps they have Pong turned off... and maybe other weird stuff.
If Dialup works and BB doesn't, I suspect some timing issue, like how long a Browser waits for a reply, which I vaguely remember seeing in some .plist.

Do you mean that you can't any website or that you only can't access a specific website?
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
    * Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    * Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

  • Can't access specific website

I've been trying to access a specific website – http://www.statcounter.com/ – for the last few days, but all I get is a blank, white page. I know the site is working and it's just a problem with my Mac. I've been searching the net for a solution and for PCs it seems to involve doing something to the TCP/IP, but I can't figure out what needs to be done in Macs. Any suggestions? Thanks
I should add that my internet connection is via airport.

I notice that your OS is 10.3.2. I'm not sure what further free updates are available from Apple but I would apply these as they might fix your problem. Better still would be to upgrade to at least Tiger if you can afford it. I had no problem from my MBP getting to the website.
It's possible that your eMac is having trouble with the drawing of the web page from this site which might use a more complex web page structure. I think this can be an issue on older machines occasionally.

  • I was just prompted (out of no where) that "CoreServicesUiAgent" would like to access your calendar. Don't Allow. Allow. - What's that for? Why did it show up and do I allow or not? I've googled this extensively and no one knows what it is. Thanks.

This promt seems to relate to iCal - it is requesting access to my "calendar" but the icon shows the iCal icon infront of some icon of a house with a dial - maybe it is supposed to look like a safe dial protecting my house.
There is a ? that launches the Help Centre. There is says the prompt is because something is tying to access the calendar and I need to give permission but I'm not running anything that would have needed access.
Is it possible that one of the websites I was on prompted it? I didn't download anything - but I'm working in SmartSheet, which uses a calendar tool to track projects. Any chance that's trying to communicate with iCal in the background?
But I can't see anywhere online where people know what the CoreServicesUIAgent is, and there's no more info about what/who I'd be giving access to my calendar.
    Help?
    Thanks,
    k

Thanks, I'd done that before coming to Apple and didn't receive any additional information about whether it's safe to choose "Don't Allow" or "OK". I don't know what I'm in for if I choose either one. Can't afford to lose that calendar. I depend on it too much.

  • How can I set up a guest access point with a Time Capsule and an Airport Extreme? I am using a Telus router with the Time Capsule used as a wireless access point (bridge mode). I don't want the guest access point to have access to my network.

How can I set up a guest access point with a Time Capsule and an Airport Extreme? I am using a Telus router with the Time Capsule used as a wireless access point (bridge mode). I don't want the guest access point to have access to my network.

The Guest Network function of the Time Capsule and AirPort Extreme cannot be enabled when the device is in Bridge Mode. Unfortunately, with another router...the Telus...upstream on your network, Bridge Mode is indicated as the correct setting for all other routers on the network.
If you can replace the Telus gateway with a simple modem (that performs no routing functions), you should be able to configure either the Time Capsule or the AirPort Extreme....whichever is connected to the modem....to provide a Guest Network.

Ahhh, I see that you did not allow them to connect (is this true)
Here is a link to the Lion/Mountain Lion compatible version of Quicken.

  • Unable to allow Family Laptop access to Web through my Router

I have a desktop and laptop wirelessly linked in a LAN using a DSL modem and a Linksys WRT54GS router.
    This is working OK.
I now want to allow my grandson access to the WEB using his laptop when he visits me.
I have XP Pro installed on both my LAN machines whereas the grandson's laptop has Vista.
However when he enters my router's password on his laptop he is unable to connect to the WEB through my router.
I notice than in the WIRELESS SECURITY section of my router I have the firewall set to "BLOCK WAN REQUESTS".
Could this be the reason for this failure to connect ?
I am reluctant to change any settings needlessly.

Evidently the " BLOCK WAN REQUESTS " is not the reason why your grandson's vista laptop , because other wireless computer were able to get online.
make sure that you have the right network key
    - click on the tab wireless
    - click on wireless security ( underneath security )
    - what is our sec. mode?
► if  wpa personal / wp2personal / wpa radius you most like could check ahead if the password is right ( the password is in: passphrase, wpa shared key, etc.. )
► if wep , what is your encryption? your tx key or default transmit key? if 1 the basically what you need is what is written in key 1
     - check if wireless mac filter is disabled , if enabled and permit only , make sure that mac address of the wireless lan card of your grandson's laptop is in the list.
