My screen will not respond to me touching it. And i cant turn it off to reset it, and i cant access it of my coputer when i plug it in because it has a password on it. what do i do?

I have no idea what happen I just got on my ipad to face time with a friend and I lost my Wi-Fi signal then. My friend called me back on face time and I couldn’t use my Ipad and I don’t know what happened. And I looked it up online to see how to fix this I found an article on apple saying how to fix this problem. So I fallowed the directions and it told me to plug in my device and to restore the IoS software on the iTunes summary pane. Anyways long story short is that I can access my ipad to do this because I have a password on my ipad so I can do this reboot.
So I am going to let my battery run down and see it that fixes the problem.
Conclusion
The main problem I am having is I cannot shut down my ipad because I can’t slide over the shutdown slide.
And I can’t do the recovery software on iTunes because my ipad is locked. And this is my dilemma

First Try This...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

  • My music screen has frozen and will not respond to my touch

my 32g iPod touch will not respond to my touch while i am in my music library.  i can navigate through my iPod and access my apps, calendar, etc., but as soon as i try to get into my music and browse through it, nothing.  it has done this before, but it usually "snaps out of it", and eventually begins to work properly.  i purchased this iPod brand new in march 2012, so in my opinion it should not be acting up.  anyone have any idea as to what is going on with it?

    Try the standard fixes:
    - Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod

  • My ipad is locked and it tells me to update my icloud but the screen is not responding to my touch?

How do I get my screen unlocked so that I can update my ipad.  The screen is not responding to my touch, instead it is telling me... " This ipad hasnt been backed up in  12 weeks. Backups happen when this ipad is plugged in, locked and connnected to wi-fi".  Does this mean that I cant use this untill it is all done backing everything up? And how do I begin to use it since it says its locked?

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
After it boots up again, you will be able to use the iPad. You should backup the iPad like the message is telling you to do.

  • My touchSmart tm2-2150us screen is not responding to my touch or pen

MY screen is not responding to my touch . i also get a Notification   "USB device not recognized" i try updating that USB and dosent work. wHAT can i do?

Okay, in that case you may try re-installing the chipset driver and the touch driver from the following links and check if the issue has been resolved. The following are the links:
    Chipset driver:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-86107-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&...=
    Touch driver:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-84031-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&...=
If the issue is not resolved, it would be better to complete a full system recovery after taking backup of all your data. Issues as such would also occur if there are driver conflicts and these can be resolved with the recovery.
However, as I had mentioned earlier, since you are receiving a "USB device not detected" error, there is a possibility that the hardware is malfunctioning. If recovery is also not resolving the issue then you may need to get the unit serviced at an authorized HP service provider.

  • HT3529 I receive messages on my iPad, but I cannot send a reply. The send button will not respond to my touch.

I receive messages on my iPad, but I cannot send a reply. The send button will not respond to my touch.

It's not that you can't use the subject field, but it is very unreliable when I try to use it. Sometimes the message send button will work and sometimes it won't.
But the biggest reason to turn it off is so that you do not accidentally type your message in the subject field. You can type a subject in that field, but you still have to type the actual message in the space below the subject field.

  • My screen does not respond to any touch commands on new 4S

The screen on my new 4S does not respond to swiping in order to configure.  In addition, when I try to turn it off, it will not respond to cancel or swiping.  I have tried to reset to no avail.  Is there something else to try?

    Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 second until you see the Apple logo.

  • TS4002 icloud message says needs more storage but is frozen....will not respond to any touching

I have a message stating Not Enough Storage - This ipad cannot be backed up because there is not enough iCloud storage available.  You can manage your storage in Settings.  It will not respond to touching either "Close or Settings".  and the slide will not work to open the ipad to get to the settings.  Seems to be frozen....would appreciate any help....

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.

  • Officejet Pro 8600 touch screen will not respond

    Hi,
I have the HP Officejet Pro 8600 and the touch pad will not turn on. The power is on! I actualy cannot turn it off by pressing the off button, even when I unplug it and plug it back in it is like it was never unplugged. This all started when I updated my MAC to the new operating system and then I noticed where the paper comes out there were blue blinking lights. I pressed the off button and the lights stopped, but now nothing will respond. This is a wireless printer. Please advise what to do.
    Thank you,

    Hello Tanyaward,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having an issue with the touch pad not responding or lighting up.
First off, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
Once the printer is connected to a wall outlet, please  attempt to use the power button to turn the unit off and then back on again.  This will do a semi reset on the unit.
If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here: click here.
    Thanks for your time.
