I've only had it for about 6 months. It's never been dropped or abused in any way. All of the sudden, the buttons just stopped working. How can I fix it? Please help!!

The issue with the battery is a problem. The last battery I purchased was at the end of September, so it is NOT old. I would think that a battery would last longer than 6 months, considering the original one lasted up until that point. Granted it would not hold as much of a charge, but it still worked at least. So, at this point, I would think it would be a problem with the laptop and not the battery. I have asked a few friends of mine, who are IT professionals and they said that it is probably an issue with the internal power supply. I've also tried replacing the AC adapter and that did not work either. As you said, you get what you pay for. Since I paid a good price for this laptop I would think it would last longer than it has. The other 2 I have do not have this issue. The DV5215us is on it's second battery, which is reasonable, and it does not have this charging problem. The tx1115nr also does not have this problem and is still on its original battery. One would think that since the earlier generations of product would have more problems than the latter, but I guess that is not the case.
Like I stated eariler I am rough on my laptops and I should probably look at ones that are built more rigid.

My home AND power button have stopped working.

i was deleting apps in settings and hit the home button but nothing happened. I used my assistive touch to hit the home button, but again, nothing happened. i was still able to navigate the settings menu, go in and out of the differents settings options and files, but i couldnt get out of the settings app and back to the home. i then hit the power butting on top and still, nothing happened. although i have already been having issues with that button getting jammed. i went into assistive touch agiain and went to devices then hit lock screen. now i cant turn the screen back on. my music is still playing and i can hear notifications popping up, but i have no way to turn the screen back on. everything is working but the screen wont come on. the volume buttons work and so does the silence switch. what do i do!? i need my phone and dont have the monet to buy a new one!

Hello skdog I possibly think your ipod touch is black because it has not charged. If your dock is broken it might just mean the dock will be broken and so might be the USB port. You should see an Apple shop nearby and hand it over and see what they can do. I hope this information works!

I'm sure I will be calling AppleCare, but the problem is, they charge for the phone calls don't they? Because I don't have money to be spending to be on the phone with a support service.
In other things, it seemed like the only time my MacBook was working was when I had Snow Leopard without the 10.6.8 update download that was supposed to be done to prepare for OS X Lion.
When I look at the information of my HD it says that I have 10.6.8 but that was the install that it claimed to have failed and caused me to restart resulting in all of the repeated problems.
Also, because my computer is currently down, and I've lost all files how would that effect the use of my iPhone? Because if it doesn't get fixed by the time OS 5 is released, how would I be able to upgrade?!

Could be an early retirement problem. There is no fixed lifespan for anything, as you know. Find a friend with a keyboard and test that in your machine. That will show if it is your keyboard or your computer. We can progress from there.

Zen Vision:M buttons have stopped working (minus the touchp

Just yesterday my Zen stopped detecting any buttons I hit, meaning the play/pause, options, forward and back buttons. Even turning it off doesn't work, yet it still detects if it is in locked mode. I'm really confused because the touchpad still works but I can click on anything.
This means when I reset and try to reformat/cleanup my player I have no success because you have to click them to enable it. So basically my player is "dead" unless you guys can help me.

Tried that and it failed, but apparently I could reformat through My Computer so thankfully its working again...but now I have to transfer everything back over.

Help! My buttons have stopped working when keyboard locks.

I have a blackberry curve 8900 and it's always worked fine but today it started giving me trouble. I have it set to always block the keyboard when not in use and today, it won't unlock anymore.
I tried taking off the battery and SIM card for a few minutes, and then when it turns on it works perfectly fine, but the minute I leave it alone and the screen goes dark, everything just stops working, the trackball, buttons, unlock button, etc. The screen is just plain dark as if it was off ( but it isn't cause I still hear emails and bbm messages)
I thought it may have something to do with the memory, and I deleted a bunch of useless stuff but nothing seems to work. Also, it happened out of the blue, no new installs in the past few months. Didn't drop it or got it wet. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Scrolling and Swipe funtionalities have stopped working since update.

Since I have installed updates on my Mac the magic mouse settings now show just basic settings such as tracking speed, double-click speed and primary mouse button. As the title suggests scrolling and swiping are no longer working.
I have tried to pair it a few times but nothing changes.
Ideas?

i reinstall USB OVERDRIVE and uninstall again. but i do in UTILITIES folder at this time. you should click 'Uninstall USB OVERDRIVE.app' in System Preferences > Utilities folder.

CTRL+H and CTRL+B have stopped working for Firefox. Every other CTRL command works. What's wrong and how do I fix it?

Whenever I want to open my history (CTRL+H) or my bookmarks (CTRL+B), I use those commands. They've always worked. Yesterday, they mysteriously stopped working. Every other CTRL+KEY command still works flawlessly.
I haven't done anything out of the ordinary in the past few days, and I've already tried to restart my computer. What could be the cause of this?

I use Yahoo and certain features have stopped working. What do I do?

Any option in my inbox that has a drop-down arrow stopped working. I can't move emails, I can't reply to all when I get emails sent to many others, etc. I contacted yahoo and they said this is not a yahoo issue, that it must be with my browser. I think I have the latest firefox version. Would clearing the cache fix this? Does clearing the cache remove all my saved passwords?
Also, sometimes when I log into yahoo, everything is in a column on the left. This happens in Ancestry dot com as well. BTW, I can't log into Ancestry now bcuz all the tabs, etc. is in a column on the left, and the boxes where I need to enter in my UN and PW, when I click the boxes, nothing happens.
I tried Ancestry and Yahoo inbox in IE, and everything worx ok. So I feel it really must be firefox. HELP!

Try resetting the iPad. Hold down the sleep and home keys, past when you see the red power down slider, and until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and see if that helps.

I'm really starting to give out of things to try to figure this out. So this laptop was bought, brought home and sat on a little table and has been handled delicately. I was happy to get it and it's never had an issue. Like the title says, now the USBs on the right side (single left usb functioning) and the touchpad have just stopped doing anything. I can't really say for sure exactly what was going on before it started to do that... I'm thinking it was working, I shut it down and maybe a day later I powered it up and noticed it probably as I was trying to log in. I have: checked connections, board contacts, drivers, reinstalled windows... so I mean at that point there's probably nothing I can do... but all seems fine with the equipment from what I can see looking at it, add in the fact that the two aren't really exactly the same so for them both to go like that is odd... I just want to know what I'm not thinking to do as far as troubleshooting it...
I don't know if there's anything else I can provide, but if there is I'll have it...

All Google and Twitter apps have stopped working on iPhone 6

I've had a new iPhone 6 for about a month now and suddenly on the same day last week, all google/twitter related apps have completely stopped working, like they can't access my network connection.
Google Maps, Hangouts, and Gmail are all showing the same issue, they say there is no network connection even though there is.
Twitter won't even let me sign in because it says it can't locate the server when I enter my login credentials (and I've tried multiple accounts, all with correct information). Most odd is that even 3rd party twitter apps like Tweetbot don't seem to work either, as they won't let me login. When I try to login using the Twitter section of iPhone settings, it tells me my login info is incorrect even though I have checked multiple times and it is.
I've tried deleting all of these apps and re installing, to no avail.
Anyone?

My Safari, Address Book and Mac Mail have stopped working.

Recently my Safari, Address book and Mac Mail have become unstable, I cannot edit or copy anything from my Address book, most of the time it'll stop responding before I can even view an address. My Safari keeps freezing and then crashing and I have to force quit, sometimes several times before it'll close. The Mac Mail won't do anything, it tries to download mail and then will sit there doing nothing, again sometimes I have to force quit several times before it'll actually quit.
I have run the extended hardware test and all is fine, I have reinstalled my OS and then restored my info from a backup and still it doesn't work. Can anyone shed any light on this?

I think you've just installed the wrong version of Safari, that's all. Safari 3.x is supposed to be for OS X 10.4 or 10.5 - according to your tag line you are using 10.3.9.
Assuming you are using 10.3.9, then the Safari install will have updated a few system frameworks that are used by other applications (such as Mail). In that case, the 'easiest' way to get things working again is to do an 'Archive & Install' and choose to preserve users and network settings.

CS6 Premiere Pro and After Effects have stopped working :(

After installing the AdobeCS6 I removed CS4 by using the Creative Cleaner Tool. Now Premiere Pro and After Effects don't work and windows wouldn't tell me what the problemm is. The rest of the CS6 is working fine apparently. Do I have to un-install then re-install all the CS6? Is it normal that the CC Cleaner tool do this? ... Thank you!

Advice around these parts is not to remove older versions after you install a newer one, because this is exactly what can happen. If you want to get rid of an older version, do that before you install the new one.
So yes, you may well need to reinstall.
