My system is too old to download the latest version...is it possible to access an older version of firefox to download?
Is there a version that would be compatible with my system? It's a Mac (an old one...not sure how to find out what kind, but it's the MacBook from 2006 or so). How can I access it?

Hello there guys.
I wish I had noted down which version of flash player I was using before I updated to the new one, as I had not updated for a year or two and the old version worked fine but the new one does not. The symptoms of the new one I would describe in youtube videos or live streaming, the video quality is in slow motion and skips as if trying to catch up with the audio every 6 seconds or so.
I have tried all the steps such as turning off hardware accelration, deleting excess plug-ins, only running one program at a time, ensuring its the latest version of flash, deleting flash browser data and cache and increasing storage limit.
My PC specifications are as follows:
AMD Athlon(tm) XP
1.05GHz, 1.00 of RAM
128 Mb of graphic memory
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3
I am using Mozilla Firefox, the latest version as it updates itself automatically
I tried watching HTML5 and non-HTML5 video's and both were laggy.
I have checked the system requirements for the flash version I am having trouble with (Adobe Flash Player 11.7.700.202) and it says it requires 2.33Ghz or faster to run so is it just a case of my PC is too old and slow processor to run the latest flash?
If this is the case could someone recommend an archived version that will work for my system and using firefox.

Ever since I downloaded the latest version of firefox..is running slower, I am not really liking the new format, is there anyway to go back to the old one?
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

It is a Mac port of a newer version of FF thatn any PowerPC Mac can support natively. It runs, looks and feel like FF.

firefox won't open on my computer as it says that it might be damaged. I downloaded the latest version of firefox and realized after the fact that the latest version is only compatible to mac 10.4 or higher. My computer is only 10.3.9 so it seems that it's too old. I just downloaded the latest version of firefox (5.0). Can I delete all the older versions that are still on my drive?
When I call up some web sites sometimes the web site comes up 3 or 4 times...how do I stop this from happening? I would strongly advise you not to let it sit in the Inbox.
When you see this happening, try right-click on the affected folder, select '''Properties''' then '''Repair Folder'''.
Large folders (actually, a folder in Thunderbird is stored as a file, so it is sensitive to file size limits set by the underlying file system) can be problematic. This is one reason not to let messages collect in one folder. I use Thunderbird's Archive folders so that accumulated mails over several years can happily coexist because they are effectively stored in many small folders. No single mail store folder then exceeds the 2GB or 4GB sizes that have been known to stress the OS. I appreciate that current builds of Thunderbird and a modern 64-bit OS should be able to cope, but practically I find it slows down when given huge files, so I err towards a pragmatic solution; a large number of not very big files.
Archives are searchable, and a Saved Search folder can give you a virtual composite folder allowing access to the entire Archive. -
I have the latest version of Firefox yet I am still getting an error message that says photoshop is no longer supported on my platfrom and thereofre it's not downloading.
Please give a bit more system details. Which OS and version are you on? Is it 32 bit or 64 bit. Try downloading the Creative Cloud App if not already installed from: https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud. You can choose to install PS from withing this app and need not rely on web page.

On the opening page of Firefox, I am constantly reminded (and sometimes warned) that I do not have the latest version of Firefox. Yet, when I click for upgrade, I start getting a download of the same version 8.0.1 which I am already running.
This - http://www.google.com/firefox - is the old Firefox Start Page used by the Firefox 3.6 and earlier versions of Firefox, I don't think it is being maintained.
Starting with the Firefox 4 version, Firefox is using a "local" Start Page with the address of '''about:home'''. It looks similar to the old Start Page, but it isn't exactly the same. -

Unfortunately, HTML5 is a large specification with a lot of parts that has been implemented in pieces over the course of several years. It would be really helpful if your vendor could indicate what EXACTLY is not compatible and then it could be researched. Otherwise, you'd have to use trial and error. Either way, you would end up with an older browser that isn't safe to run on the internet. It could be time to consider other vendors... -

This is a copy of ONEof the keys in the registry I changed as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so I downloaded the software and installed again.

I must request permission to download Firefox at work and IT needs version number before granting permission. Texas regulatory agencies use Firefox and work only allows microsoft internet explorer. To use the agencies models and reports I need Firefox. The website for downloading does not list the version number. As I said, the other day I had downloaded the latest version of Firefox and after doing so none of the icons for the different websites that normally go to are no longer there. Websites such as MSNBC, MSN, Most visited, that entire strip is no longer visible. I tired resetting Firefox and still nothing. Can anyone tell me how to get them to appear again? It's a hassle every time that I want to go to one of those sites I have to type it in the search bar, instead of just clicking on it as I did before. On Windows XP Firefox shows the menu bar by default and not the orange Firefox menu button that is shown when the menu bar is hidden.<br />
The menu bar is the toolbar at the top that shows menu items like File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help.<br />
You can press the F10 key or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily in case this bar is hidden (View > Toolbars or Firefox > Options).
The Navigation Toolbar shows the Back and forward button and the input field where you type the address of a site that you want to visit (aka location bar) and also has a search bar where you can type items that you want to look up with a search engine (Google).

When you downloaded the latest version of Firefox on the 2nd of July all my pictures were wiped out even my desktop wallpaper which was one of my pictures. I have looked in all the places I could think of but haven't been able to find them. To try and find them I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it but still none of my pictures have been found. They were in my Windows live photo gallery and some in Documents & Pictures.
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
