My thread is gone! Is it undesired to post bugs about Oracle Products here?

A few days ago i posted a thread here about a bog in ODP.NET Driver 10.2.0.2.10 Beta
Now this thread seems deleted.
Is it undesired to post bugs about Oracle Products here?

Thank you Mark for the info.
The practise to delete posts without any comments casts a damning light on Oracle and can gives the impression that oracle the way of repairing bus is to hide them.
For a cutomers like me that invets time to analyze issues in oracle software and invets time again to post them here to help Oracle it is very disappointing to see that my posts are delete without comments.
Oracle should think about that mistreating their customers is not a fine way. This is unsuitable for giving custumers the feeling that Oracle is intrested in their problems.
The right way would be to delete the content of a post intead of the complete thread and give a small comment why it has ben removed.
Sorry for this harsh post, but in the last monts i am more and more disappointed about the faultiness of Oracle products, the slowness of Oracle Support and the false promises regarding to meeting deatlines.
I have the feeling to be on a sinking ship with Oracle.
This Forum here is sometime a ray of hope but the rest of Oracle...

I was just forced to "upgrade" iphoto, and most of my slideshows are gone.  What is going on?  I'm desperate here.

    Thanks for the reply.
It wouldn't open unless I clicked "upgrade."  The other option was "cancel." The Genius at the Apple Store said I had no choice.  The new stuff looks idfferent but maybe it's just taking a while to go through all my photos.  I can't tell what is going on exactly, but I'm nervous to see the last slideshow there is 2010.
We are backed up on Carbonite, but the hoops to go through getting specific items back seems daunting to me.

  • Thread Formatting Gone Wonky

I have seen similar, in the past, but for recently. This thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/6034224#6034224 goes "wonky" at Reply #22, and it appears that whatever has happened, carries over to following Replies. Does anyone know the cause, or better yet, the fix. I looked at Reply #22 carefully for any formatting code, but saw nothing out of the ordinary, but maybe it's beyond the reach of my MOD console.
Any comments, or help (John C??? ) would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Hunt

    Hello Bill,
This may be related with the way the list in message #22 was bulleted. I copied and pasted part of the list to Word, and this is what I got:
I see normal spaces after the bullets and, as I am no heavy user of Word, I don't know that those strange spaces after some elements of the list and before the pargraph indicators mean.
And of course I have no idea if this is really the cause for the format problem, or how to correct/prevent this break if it is...

  • What is a missing thread record (id = 3339624) and what can I do about it?

I was trying to updat my IMac to snow leopard and got an error during the process. I restarted my computer on the HD that I was trying to update and I get the boot screen and then it turns off. I then got it to boot on the SL disk and it got me to the repair prompt and the DU. When I verify the HD I get missing thread record (id = 3339624) and It grays out the HD. After restarting and getting back to the DU I can see it again and all my files on it. I no longer care about updating I just want to be back to normal. I don't have any time machean backups and I am very worried. It makes it even worse being able to see my files but not be able to get to them.

That error message means that Disk Utility can't reconcile the catalog entry for a file and it's location on the hard drive. That could mean a problem with the file or a problem with the catalog.
Verifying the hard drive doesn't fix anything, it just reports it's status. You need to boot to either your Leopard or Snow Leopard DVD, bring up Disk Utility, and repair the hard drive. If Disk Utility gives a failure on exit message or tells you it can't repair the hard drive, then you'll need to use a program like Disk Warrior or TechTool Pro, with Disk Warrior being the program most people use. That should be able to fix the problem. Disk Warrior is available from http://www.alsoft.com/diskwarrior/
If you started a major operating system upgrade without having a backup, you're setting yourself up for failure should a problem arise, but you probably know that by now.

  • Hi my I phone has just gone dead the battery would have been about 50% charged and it does not turn on or is taking a charge any ideas

Hi my I phone has just gone dead it has about 50% charge and wont turn on. It dont seem to take a charge either?
Any ideas my whole business revolves around this bloody thing with out it I am *********
    Can some one help please??

    Hello, gypsumspring.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here are the best resources to go through when experiencing this issue.
    Resolving issues
If your battery doesn't charge, or if your device shows a low-battery image, black screen, or "accessory not supported" alert, follow these steps.
Inspect the connector at the bottom of the phone:
Make sure that there are no bent pins in the connector.
Make sure that the connector is free from debris.
If there are bent pins or debris, please contact Apple Support.
    Otherwise, continue troubleshooting.
Make sure that the outlet you're using works.
Make sure that the Apple USB cable and Apple USB power adapter work.
Plug the device in to power and let it charge for up to 30 minutes. If you don't have an Apple USB power adapter, try connecting to a computer's high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be on.
If the device still exhibits an issue, try turning your device off and then on again while connected to power.
If the issue is persists, please contact Apple Support.

  • How do you drop a publication that is gone from SSMS but shows up in replication monitor? Here's what I've tried...

    Hello,
I had  two test databases on one server that I had been experimenting with for transactional replication.  I wanted to delete the publication from one database and the subscription from the other and finally delete both databases.  I deleted
the publication, the subscription , the jobs related to them and finally the databases.  I must confess that i wasn't as careful as I would be if I hadn't planned on just deleting everything.  So what I have now is nothing appearing in SSMS under
local publications or local subscriptions for these two test databases (but pubs and subs for other useful things) but in replication monitor the publication shows up with a red x.
I cannot use sp_droppublication  @publication='my pub name' because the publication database is gone.  Can I do anything to remove this publication from replication monitor?  This isn't a production server yet it has some users who would be
severely inconvenienced if I have to drop all replication and rebuild.  Is there any other way?
    Thanks.

Hi, I had a similar case, apply the EXEC sp_removedbreplication, but in the replication monitor even the replication was visualized with a red x, which caused me a false alarm.
The records MSreplication_monitordata table can not be deleted manually, it is only a guide for the monitor replication, because that's what I understood also try removing your records, but had no success.
Reaches a point where I thought I had to recreate all replications, but I found a solution.
Guide me in that table (MSreplication_monitordata), to search for agents publisher that had not been removed (eg DB: SDCGHJ), then search these agents and items in the tables: MSdistribution_agents, MSsnapshot_agents, MSlogreader_agents; located in the distribution
database and delete records that made reference to publisher_db SDCGHJ, delete jobs that they made reference to the publication eliminated.
With these steps the publication is no longer displayed on the monitor replication and "red x" stop appearing.
I hope it is of your utility.

  • How do I get these threads to open at the most recent post?

This is most annoying: every time I get an email notifying me that there's a new post in a thread I'm following, when I click on the link to go to that thread it sends me to the TOP of the thread and not to the post I was clicking about.
What am I doing wrong and how do I correct this?

Well,  I tried it with your post, Klaus, and it seemed to work correctly. Maybe it's just me. When I see an invitation in the email to click on a link to REPLY to a message, I don't click on it, because I don't want to reply to that message. I just want to read it. I might THEN want to reply to it  but I also might not. Maybe I'm just stupid that way.
In future, I'll pretend to myself that I actually want to REPLY to every post for which I receive a notification.
But each time I do that, I'll think about the cutlery drawer in the kitchen at Cupertino, and I'll wonder if all the knives in there are perfectly sharp.
    Thanks, folks.

  • Spawning Threads in WebLogic - forbidden in 5.1.  what about 6.x?

Is spawning threads in 6.x permitted?
              http://websupport.beasys.com/websupport/clearexp_cgi/solution.htm?probdesc.objid=268519040

I do not think it is forbidden, but certainly not recommended. In 5.1 using user
threads was causing all sorts of problems ranging from memory leaks (caused by
threadlocal implementation) to mysterious exceptions when ivoking EJBs etc.
Threadlocal was fixed in 6, but still, you can never tell what will break if you
try to invoke WebLogic services (EJBs etc) from user threads.
You can use this trick to borrow threads from WebLogic execute threads pool:

  • Do discussions (threads) in this forum ever get elevated to bug reports seen by the Adobe dev's?

This forum is a fertile source of user feedback for Adobe. Is there a system in place to create tickets or bug reports or something like that out of issue brought up here? Seems like a good idea.

    User to User forum.
Adobe may read some items here. That's up to the development teams. If the dev team sees something and is interested then it may perhaps get logged, But you should never assume anything on the forums is actually logged anywhere but here.
If you've found a bug, you should log it using the feadback link at the bottom of this (or any) page.

  • Shooting Day Gone Bad! Struggling in Post-Production!

i am working with a group on a university short film. we dont have a lot of time and a tight budget. apparently, in the one day of shooting the director and his crew did an awful job, and got me, the editor, some awful footage. i am pretty much done with the editing, but footage is still nagging me. i decided to ask for your opinion. i tried out different filters and grain removers, but no good results!
these are four samples of the footage:
    http://aycu08.webshots.com/image/487...6549655_rs.jpg
    http://aycu39.webshots.com/image/505...5830761_rs.jpg

    http://aycu12.webshots.com/image/481...3351994_rs.jpg
by the way, shot in HDV format!!!
so i would like to know what you think and how can i make it better. reduce the grain, make it look sharper, and more beautiful!
    any thing would help...
i reposted the images from another host. they should work now!

I think my compatriots here are being a little harsh and the poster who mentioned "art", well, "art" is a roving target, I still don't get all the fuss made about Andy Warhol and his films that he used film for and not videotape nor the tomato soup can. Call me a heathen if need be.
You can salvage this but you're up against some severe technical limitations coupled with lack of knowledge and experience. I doubt you used film in your film school project, yes? Most likely HDV of some flavor which as an incredibly narrow exposure latitude as you see. Add it's shallow 8 bit depth and you have almost no imagery to play with so the suggestions of grunging it up with some sort of affected looks are not only extremely valid but they may be your salvation.
Rather than jacking up the video gain in the various filters, I'd first try layering the clips on top of themselves and try the composite modes that lighten such as Add. You'll see a bunch of noise so try something like the filter Stop Motion Blur. I recently rescued some horribly noisy video with that little jewel. You'll also want to adjust your expectations of how to use this video.
Nothing can replace good lighting and what they need to teach you in film school is how difficult video is to work with to make your "films."
Good luck, I'll be interested to see how this one turns out.

  • Neat little spooky "Home" icon gone missing on iPhone.  Anyone know about it?

I've had a neat little icon that can be moved around on my Home Page that will take me home at a flick, as well as take me other places I might choose.  It was a dark circle with a lighter circle in the center and could be moved anywhere on the face of the iPhone.  It was present on all pages and was a real boon.  Does anyone know what it is called and how I can get it back?
    Thanks in advance.   ....goldie

Thank you so much Mr. Allen Sampson for your prompt and acurate response!  That is what I was looking for.  I really do like it even though it's like a little puppy dog always getting under foot.

  • Creation of MRP Batch job

    Hello PP Sapperu2019s
I need to create a MRP batchjob for one of my plant u2013 9030.I need to know the below highlighted details,
Job name : MRP Plant 9030
    *Programname : *
    *Variant: *
    Frequency : Daily
Timing : 01.00 (during the night)
    Step user :
Please help me to proceed with creation of MRP batchjob.
My requirement is to run MRP every night that reschedule the purchase order and create new purchase requestion in Total Horizon.
Need any further input please let me know.
PS:I also refer MDBT for the MRP jobs whihc already created for some other plants but seems to be different from the above requirement.
    Cheers,
    Kumar.S

For the job which you refer to, go to the spool & study the section 'Runtime statistics'. It will let you know which section took how much time & based on that you would be able to infer what has caused the delay & thereby take suitable actions.
Also note, there is no generic rules as such, each case has to be analyzed if there is a delay. But in general it is better to ensure your planning file entries are consistent, processing key - NETPL or NETCH & planning mode is 1.
I guess this thread has gone way beyond the initial posting, so for any further analysis on this MRP job I would strongly suggest that you sit down with the MRP controller & analyze the same. I am quite sure it shouldn't be difficult in interpreting the results.
    Good luck.
