MZilla home opens with no location bar, no back arrows, bookmarks, etc

Mozilla Firefox Start Page is a back blue line: below which there is a Google Box. Repeat: no location bar, no bookmark, no options, no back arrow etc.Thanks in anticipation of help.

If the menu bar is hidden then press F10 or hold down the Alt key, that should make the "Menu Bar" appear

Windows will scale applications display or windows will not scale application display depending on how the application is coded. Photoshop is coded in a way that its display is not scaled by windows. Photoshop knows about your displays high pixel count not its resolution so it uses its pixels however it does not scale its UI to make it usable on your display. Other application let Windows scale their display output.   For example Microsoft default for is Surface Pro 3, 216 ppi display is to scale applications display up 150% so the surface pro 3 display which has 2160x1440 pixels a 216 ppi resolution look like at display with the user is using with 1440x960 pixels. The Application works like the display is 1440x960 and Windows scale those pixels to the displays using the displays 2160x1440 pixels the effectively changing it resolution to 144ppi rather than the actual 216ppi.
The reg update and external manifest file effectively tells photoshop its working on such a size display display some number of pixel wide and some number photoshop uses that as the display size in turn Windows scale those pixels to use the displays 2160x1440 pixels efector lowing its 216ppi resolution. Photoshop CC 2014 2X UI would be like using windows 200% option applications would be shown the are working on a display 1080x720 instead of the Surface Pro 3 2160x1440. Note that 1080x720 does not meet PS requirement of 1024x768. Photoshop UI would not fit on the Surface Pro 3 display..
Since you have a 4k display if you have CC 2014 you can use its 2x UI effectively Photoshop will be running on a 1920x1080 display and have half the resolution of you 4K display 3840x2160 pixels four native pixels are use as a single pixel.   1920x1080 pixels exceed PS requirement.

The bar directly located under the main bar where the edit, bookmark, etc is gone. How do I get it back.

Under the The blue mozilla firefox bar, where the Edit, bookmark, etc is missing. I was playing around one day and deleted it. i really need it to continue bookmarking and editing and copying text.

In Firefox 3.6 and later on Windows you can hide the "Menu Bar" via "View > Toolbars" or via the right-click context menu on a toolbar.
Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the "Menu Bar" or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).

How do I disable Autocomplete COMPLETELY without messing with other settings such as with the location bar? I still like to see websites there that I've been to, without typing it in every time, but just hate the autocomplete part.

Case: When I go to Tools - Options - Privacy then Location Bar options, there should be another option to where we can disable auto-complete from the Location Bar without messing with other settings. Example #1: I click "Nothing" and then I gotta type in the website I wanna go to every single time. Example #2: I click "History & Bookmarks" and then it auto-completes. Is there any other option just to disable Auto-Complete all together??

Firefox crashed yesterday and today it opened with the scroll bar on the left side, not the right. How do I fix this?

Firefox crashed last night as I was closing it down. Today, when I started up my laptop and opened firefox, the scroll bar was on the left. I'm not sure how to move it back to the right side of the page.

Issue with Safari and using the back arrow with multiple tabs open

I open multiple tabs in Safari but when I'm in a tab browsing and I hit the back arrow, in the new version of Safari, it doesn't just go back to the previous page in the tab, it completely backs out of all the tabs. What am I doing wrong?
I have a PC running Win 7 and the lastest version of Safari. I launch Safari which opens to my home page (CNN). I then go the News on my menu bar and select Open in Tabs - then tabs for 6 news sites open up. However if I go to one of the tabs and start navigating around the sight and I want to back up a page I click the back arrow like I have always done in previous versions of Safari but instead of backing up 1 page in the tab I'm in, it collapses all the tabs and I'm back with only the CNN tab still open. Its frustrating not being able to backup on page and I can figure out what's going on. I've use Safari for sometime now but only this version is giving me this problem. I tried resetting and reinstalling Safari but still get the same problem. Any ideas? Its like I'm backing out of tabs instead of pages.

2) I switched Safari to 32 -bit mode and rebooted my iMac but I still can't get the CBS videos to run
The exact message I get in the Hulu or CBS box is:
The video you have requested is either unavailable or is being blocked by an ad blocker installed in your browser.
I have the same problem with the Safari, Firefox and Opera (all are the latest versions.

Same web address autopopulates in location bar regardless of history, bookmarks.

When I type the first "w" of a web address in the location bar, a web address autopopulates that is not in the pull down list, browsing history or bookmarks. The same address populates every time and only with one "w" of the first "www" of the address. I have tried clearing all history and cookies, resetting Firefox and reinstalling but the problem persists. The only way I have found to stop it is to set the privacy preferences for location bar suggestions to suggest Nothing, but that eliminates a feature I find useful. The only thing I haven't tried is deleting my Firefox profile. I am using a Mac running OS 10.8.4.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

Moved from PC to Mac can I go back & bring bookmarks etc with me?

I am giving Mac a try & want to use my PC bookmarks etc. Ibelieve I could have done this when I opened the Firefox account in Mac, but by passed download apps from Internet Explorer. Can I rectify that omission?

CrystalReportViewer opens with no scroll bars: report not viewable

Hi group, thanks for reading my question. I am writing a winforms app using Visual Studio 2003, VB.NET, CLR 1.1, Crystal Reports 10.The app has an MDI container. It has a set of children that are standard winforms - read/write data to a database. There is also a Reports menu item that allows users to open up some local Crystal Reports in a winform which nothing but a CrystalReportViewer control in it. The code hands the report a dataset which forms the report source. When I have one of the standard winforms open, and it is WindowState.Normal, everything works OK. But if the other winform is Maximized so that it fills the MDI container, opening the window which contains the CrystalReportViewer control results in the report being off-center, and no scroll bars appearing in the viewer. The user can never see the full content of the report on their screen. This is reliably recreating on a Windows XP SP2 and a Windows Vista Ultimate machine. Like clock work: maximize any other MDI Child -> open the report form -> malformed report. Normalize the MDI child -> open the report form -> properly formatted report. Does anyone have an insight into how to fix this problem?Thank you very much!Darvi

If you have made changes to Advanced font settings like increasing the minimum/default font size then try the default minimum setting "none" and the default font size 16 in case the current setting is causing problems.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts.

When I click on firefox to go online, I just get a google page with no location bar to type in an address.

I have a TON of bookmarks that I want to back up, but when I open the window to organize them, back them up, etc., none of them are there! Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to fix it?

On the dropdown menu where my bookmarks are, I select "show all bookmarks", which opens up a window called "Library". I should have hundreds of bookmarks, but none of them are showing in this window.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Google home page will not display but everything else works (bookmarks,etc)

When I start FF, the page says server was reset before loading complete, yet my other system does just fine with same version of FF.
Just started last night and haven't gone to malicious website as they are blocked by Avast well and no emails came in.
Even reinstalled FF.

FYI for everyone. Found that if your homepage does not come up and you get "Server reset while page was loading" and can't get it to change, then disable all plugins and restart Firefox. Home page should come up.
Now Firefox comes up fine. Will check other issue on cookies not deleting.
