N 97 Hanging, shutting down automatically and rest...
Hi i bought two N 97 three weeks ago one i have it which is working fine and other i send it to my brother. today he told me after using that phone for 3 days the phone is hanging then shutting down and restarting automatically. This have happened 50-60 times in 4-5days. Could anybody has same experience with his nokia N97 phone and the possible solution to this problem. waiting for your reply.
The phone is prone to memory problems (lack of) and requires a lot of maintainance, if he has a lot of live widgets running on the homescreen and applications running in the background, this wouldn't help ! Would suggest you check out some of the threads for memory management out on the forum. Also check for software updates, remove anything you can from the C drive, store all messages and apps etc you can on E, and ensure you clear the cache in the browser on a regular basis.
I have the phone and it is real hard work
If I have helped at all, a click on the White Star is always appreciated :

hi, 3 weeks ago i just got my iphone4 for and then i upgraded it to iOS5..am just wondrin', does changing or upgrading the OS causes the phone to shuts down automatically and turn on again? thanks.. =)
How long are you leaving it on the charger?
Are you connecting it directly to an electrical outlet or trying to charge via USB? USB may not provide enough power to adequately charge the device if the battery is that low.
If none of that helps, then the only option would be a warranty replacement as either the battery or system board is bad. -
Apps shuts down automatically and safari froze
when i use applications like werule , warchess, or others, apps just shut down automatically and shows the homescreen. is there a problem with the memory? or is this a normal behavior after using apps just for an hour and so? and when it happens safari won't do anything and froze. what do i do? should i restart the ipad whenever it happens
You can shut down and restart your iPad to see if this helps.
If not, you may want to reset the iPad and reinstall / resync it.
If that still doesn't help, make an appointment with the expert bar at an apple store or call support for assistance. -
Hi everyone... Last Wednesday my iPhone 4 shut down automatically... I had battery. It took about a half an hour to reboot it. After that I started having trouble with going in and out of service and battery drainage. I do have that update 5 ios... or whatever its called... but I did that about 2-3 months ago and had no problems. I called Apple and they wouldn't do a **** thing for me. I called AT&T and they reset the network... didn't work. I did a hard shut down and didn't work. Now today, every call I had was dropped. So of course this morning when I woke up at like 8:30 am by 10:30 am my battery went from 100% to 35%. ***. Can someone help me???

Desktop shutting down automatically and unable to start up
The computer will shut down automatically overnight and then it takes about 10 minutes of pressing the power button, unplugging the power lead from the PC, switching off and unplugging the power lead from the wall to be able to turn the computer on.
We have had the computer for 4 weeks and this has happened 5 times.
Any assistance would be appreciated.Hi,
I would not stand for that that type of PC behavior with a new PC. Your PC is covered by warranty so you should contact HP Support. Return the PC if you can as it might be a bigger issue than you think later on.
HP's support number is 800-474-6836 or 800-HPINVENT or online here.

Since downloading OS X Mavericks, my computer has been shutting down midway of starting up. Please help! The problem began after downloading the software free update. Now when I start my computer, it will starts up normal but when the desktop appears, there will be an error message that I shut down my computer because of an error and if I would like to open the applications that were open before the sudden shut down I should press continue. Then when I select continue, it will open up another communication window that my computer is restarting because of an error. Then the screen will revert to shutting down and restarting again. This has been going on now all morning. Can someone hlep me on how to resolve this issue?
Very Important, how much Free Space is on your Hard Drive first of all? Click on the Macintosh HD on the Desktop, then do a Get Info on it.
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
Do they launch OK while in Safe Mode? -

My iPod screen went dark when I try to wake it, then the power button can't turn it back on either. I have the 16GB version, still got 7GB of usable memory but this was the first problem after installing the iOS 8.1. I don't think it was the battery, the battery icon that used to be visible when the system is off but it was not there when I tried to charge the battery. At this point, my 16GB iPod Touch and all the files inside are waiting for rescue.
-San Diego, CATry:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

As stated above, I don't know what to do, but there's an error report that popped up... Anyone can help? =)

my phone just shut down automatically and i've just bought in not more than a month !! OmG
And now i cant switch it on ... How?First plug it into a charger and wait at least 15 to 20 minutes to give the battery some charge in case the battery has completely discharged.
Then press both the Home and Power On button together for some 15 seconds or so until the apple logo appears (ignore the power off red slider if it appears and keep on holding the buttons). Let go when the apple logo appears and wait until the iPhone resets and restarts.
Hope this helps. -
My pro shuts down automatically and wont power back up
So you can't turn it on anymore? Take it to an Apple store and have it fixed. It is still with in the normal 1 year warranty.

Premiere Elements 10 on Vista freezes and shut down automatically.
I have a recently bought Adobe Premiere Elements 10 for Windows Vista. After initializing the software and start editing videos, in about 5 minutes it freezes, an error message pops-up and the program automatically shuts down. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the software, and the license key is correct, but it insists in shut down automatically, what should I do?
PC settings:
160 gb Hard Drive/ 22gb free space
processor: Pentium Dual Core T4200 @ 2.00 ghz 2.00 ghz
RAM: 4 gb
Windows Vista 32 bitMy 3 hard drives to edit AVCHD are configured as...
1 - 320Gig Boot for Win7 64bit Pro and all program installs
2 - 320Gig data for Win7 paging swap file and video project files
When I create a project on #2 drive, the various work files follow,
so my boot drive is not used for the media cache folder and files
3 - 1Terabyte data for all video files... input & output files (*)
(*) for 4 drives, drive 3 all source files & drive 4 all output files
Search Microsoft to find out how to redirect your Windows paging swap file

Trying to use only ONE Hard Drive for Video Editing
You are a music conductor, with a baton that you use to point to various parts of the orchestra... this is like Windows pointing to various parts of the hard drive to do Windows housekeeping or to load program segments for various functions
Now, at the same time and with the same hand... while still using the baton to conduct the orchestra... pick up a bow and play a fiddle... this would be doing something with your video file at the same time as all the other work
You as a person cannot do both at the same time with the same hand
A computer is a LITTLE better, in that it can switch from one kind of task to another very quickly... but not quickly enough for EASY video editing
You need AT LEAST two hard drives (separate drives, never a partition http://forums.adobe.com/thread/650708 for more) with Windows (or Mac OS) and software on your boot drive, and video files on a 2nd drive so the boot drive is not slowed down by trying to do everything
Partition = Crash http://forums.adobe.com/thread/957286
I find that the three drives I use work very well for me, for editing AVCHD video... some people use a 4th drive, so video INPUT files are on drive three and all OUTPUT files are on drive four... I only bought a mid-tower case instead of a full tower case (my bad... but had to fit in the space available on my office desk!) so I use the three drives that will fit
Depending on your exact hardware (motherboard brand & model AND USB2 enclosure brand & model AND external hard drive brand & model) AND the type of video file, you may... or may NOT... be able to use an external USB2 hard drive for SD (Standard Definition) video editing
Steve Grisetti in the Premiere Elements forum http://forums.adobe.com/thread/856208 and Jim Simon in the Premiere Pro forum http://forums.adobe.com/thread/856433 use USB externals for editing
A USB3 hard drive connected to a motherboard with USB3 is supposed to be fast enough for video editing (I don't have such, so don't know) but eSata DOES have a fast enough data transfer for video editing... I have not used the eSata Dock below... for reference only, YMMV and all the usual disclaimers
