My N-Gage QD Version i'm in USA.

I Heared there was an upgrade for my phone model. I called up N-Gage.com support and they told me they will only upgrade if there a problem with Phone.
Sence the N-Gage QD being a Gaming Phone the problem for me is some Games don't work on my Version that i've be told work on newer Fireware. I told them this and they say same thing they will only upgrade if there's a Problem.
is there some way i can get my Fireware upgraded for my N-Gage QD Please...

A Nokia authorized service/repair center will update the firmware. Try finding the nearest one through here:

N85 camera software bugs

When the camera on my N85 (v11 firmware) is working, it works well and I'm happy with it. Unfortunately, about half the time the Camera application doesn't launch fully, and I need to reboot the phone to be able to take any photos.
When the problem happens, all the camera options are there with the flash/etc icons on the right, but not actually accessible, and I can't take any pictures or videos.

After sliding the lens cover closed, opening it again never launches the Camera application - I have to launch it from within the menus. With the keypad locked, opening the lens cover just tells me to "press unlock to activate keypad." And occasionally it hoses the whole phone display - puts my portrait standby screen in landscape view, although landscape view is still normal.

Hi,
i have had an N85 with no issues for 6 months then recently i noticed that the lights on the front were sometimes staying on (the red and green ones on the front). it was fine for days after a restart.
today i have discovered that my camera no longer works! sometimes it just hangs and other times it says unexpected error, please restart
i have checked the firmware version and it had not been updated so i followed the instructions and updated to custom version 30.019.53.1 this has had no effect on the camera, the screen remains black. it does work if i switch to secondry camera, but not on main. If i pull out the ex mem card the screen does flash up for a second so i can see that the camera is functioning, so i belive this is software related.
the only apps i have installed recently installed were two demo games. i have now uninstalled them (pinball and brain train from the n-gage list)
any help appreciated

Help I'm trapped in a sig factory.

IPad abruptly quit, started playing Gaga's Scheibe song and will not now show up in "Devices" on iTunes. Keeps telling me it detects an iPad in Recovery mode. Cannot get past that. Help!

How do I recover the data on my iPad2? It abruptly quit while I was shutting down and started playing Gaga's Scheibe from "Born this Way" -- it was not coming from My Music or iTunes. I pressed both home key and side button to get it to stop and plugged it in to recharge. The USB connector to iTures screen showed up and that's as far as I can go. Had an appointment at the "genius bar" this morning and all they tell me is that they can "restore" which will not save any info I have. The last backup I did was April 2013 (I know, very stupid of me). iTunes does not recognize the device. It's all greyed out and I get a window that says iTunes detected an iPad in Recovery mode. That's as far as I can get. I really don't want to lose any data. Please help me. Thank you. Nancy

You have no choice but to lose your data back to the last backup you made.
Here's how to do the recovery. Note you may have to try to get into recovery mode more than once to succeed:

Have you tried increasing the volume when the earphones are unplugged). I'm asking just because many users don't realize that the iPhone keeps two separate settings, one for plug output, one for built-in speakers.

Ok - suddenly my facebook is opening zillions of new tabs in firefox - doesn't do it in -gag - explorer. I'm running windows 7 - don't know what I changed or did to cause this....just want it to STOP. HELP!

When I open Facebook on my laptop - I suddenly get tab after tab of facebook opening .... no reason - no changes that I know of .... have tried several things with no positive results.
I'm running windows 7.

Thank you for the reply - I did turn off the the facebook tool bar and reset everything in firefox to the default or 'ask me' mode. I was blaming apple, but you are probably correct about the tool bar - I don't think it is supported in my version of Firefox and had disappeared from sight...I didn't realize it was still there until I started going through all my options. Now I know how to stop it if it happens again.

I am running a strain gage test and can't get more than 1000 samples

A formor employee left a strain gage VI that I am attempting to reuse but no matter what I do I can,t get more than 1000 samples before needing to restart the loop. In the task timing (of NI-DAQmx) I have set the acquisition mode to N Samples and the clock settings to read 65000 samples at 25 Hz. There is a DAQmx timing(sample clock) VI that resets to finite samples and 1000 per channel when I close it but I have reset it to 65500 continious samples and left it open to no avail. There is a rate input to this sample clock on the front window that I have tried setting to several different rates to no avail. The Vi will run about 15 seconds, collect 1000 samples and then ask to verify the file location to save the data to. Upon verifying the file location the VI will run another 15 sec. loop before stopping for verification again.
If the loop is stopped rather thanhaving the file verified an error is listed:
Error-200278 occurred at DAQmx Read (Analog 1d WFm NChan NSamp).vi:1
The given possible reason given is: attempted to read a sample beyond the final sample acquired.
When I stop attempting to run the VI the block diagram opens with a dark block around file creation block. I need this VI to run for 10 min. collecting samples at about 25/sec. Can someone help me figure out what I am doing wrong?
I have made screen shots of the VI and the error code to assist finding the incorrect programing.

I was just thinking about being able to increse the size of the doc. for better visability. I have tried working with the rate input for the DaQmx for the sample clock and it does change the frequency of sampling, but I still get just the 1000 samples. I have included Jpegs this time. I have tried to exppand the two DAQ assistants that arn't expanded but am unable to, I also am unable to find a "propertys" command to open them up and see what exactly they do. The nested while loop for output also seems strange to me. Maybe I would be better to attempt a new program but being new to the language I thought using an existing program might be best.

Rapper Bubba Sparxxx has been arrested on a felony narcotics charge. 
 
Sparxxx, whose real name is Warren Anderson Mathis, was charged with possession of a controlled substance after an incident Sunday evening in which an off-duty officer in Clearwater saw another suspect hand him a narcotic, Tranxene. 
 
Authorities say they found the items in his wallet after agreeing to a search.

Rapper Bubba Sparxxx has been arrested on a felony narcotics charge. 
 
Sparxxx, whose real name is Warren Anderson Mathis, was charged with possession of a controlled substance after an incident Sunday evening in which an off-duty officer in Clearwater saw another suspect hand him a narcotic, Tranxene. 
 
Authorities say they found the items in his wallet after agreeing to a search. 
 
The musician posted a $2,000 bond on Monday. He nor his agents could be reached for comment.

Im getting **bleep** off with my N97 I need help!

It is a good phone and i've been excited about all I think it has the potential to do but, i am getting frustrated with the applications constantly freezing on me all of the quick office documents just freeze
All i want to do is learn is phone inside out
I can't sign into my hotmail account
also does anyone have links to the possible downloadable games for this phone?
again all of the game applications just say loading and freeze
and when i try to update te phone with the hope of speeding it up, it just says that their are no updates
I want to be happy with this phone, but nokia are making it hard for me. is there a nokia store in london with a helpful people to go through this with me similar to the apple mac store where they give so much support??

Regarding the general instability problems, I am assuming from your comment about no updates you are still running 10.x firmware?
If so, there's nothing you can do to get v11.x quicker, however there may be a few things you can do regarding some of the application problems. Firstly, using your phone's browser, go to store.ovi.com and you will probably be informed an update is available for Ovi Store. Install it.
In Applications Menu, there is a utility called Software Update. Have you tried running it? Nokia released several software updates (I had 5) a week or so back and these are all useful updates, particularly the C: Phone Memory Update. One of them, N-Gage is the N97 gamer store. You'll find games there and in the Ovi Store.
Once you've installed the updated, try powering down the phone and then load up the Ovi Store and replace any apps you may have like Facebook, AccuWeather, AP News etc. Not only will this refresh the apps, but it'll install them on your mass memory storage and remove them from the phone memory, freeing up some space.
Finally, just try clearing your personal data from the phone in the web browser. Maybe your phone is getting low on memory.

N-Gage to 5300 Phone Book

Hi,
Im badly need serious help about this.
I was usin n-gage (not QD) then after i backup my n-gage settings i saved the "Backup.arc" in my PC then i sold my n-gage to get 5300 now im using 5300,
The problem is i noticed 2 days ago i didnt save all my contact numbers to SIM Card but it is on n-gage phone memory gosh now all i have is just my "Backup.arc" maybe it contain my contact numbers in there.
So, How to Convert "Backup.arc" into 5300 Phone book? (I think there must be a way to do this)

Use PC Suite to copy files from your PC to the phone, or use an USB memory card reader.
There's also "msvdrivee" (or "mvsdrivee"), but it is not supported and doesn't seem to be very safe, either. (It is supposed to let you change the default memory from phone memory to the memory card for messages.)
Of course, on an N-Gage it gets a bit problematic, if you need to swap memory cards to play games (an incoming message will not have a place where to go, if the wrong memory card is inserted).
If you want the risk, use your favourite Internet search engine to find the program.

N-gage QD

i have a problem here..i use n-gage QD....yesterday i delete my anti-virus because i want to replace it with a new antivirus...after delete the antivirus,my phone turn off accidently and then "system error" appeared on my device's screen....until now i can turn it on...what should i do to make it back to normal?????

If the phone no longer switches on as normal then you can only try a hard reset. Note that the content of your phone's memory is wiped by this procedure, but you hardly have any choice at this point. Also, the N-Gage QD is only S60 1st edition so I'm not sure this will work, but it's worth a try.
1) Press and hold the green "call", "3" and "*" buttons.
2) With those buttons pressed down, switch the phone on.
3) Keep pressing those 3 buttons and only release them once the phone shows signs of life such as the Nokia "hands" logo or the language selection screen.
Antivirus software is unnecessary with S60 devices as long as you use the phone responsibly and don't do things like run unknown attachments from unknown sources.

it just wont change profiles when i press and hold #, and now there's a system error whenever i want to play n-gage, is there a better way to install n-gage? because i installed it in the built-in memory card... and it was the full app! but i'm really getting worried

Well whenever my phone doesn't work well i just do a Soft reset to it or pull out the battery for a few minutes then its cured. Try it maybe it'll work.

N-Gage Application

I am having problems with my nokia N85's N-Gage Application. When I start the application, I get the message 'system error'.
So I uninstalled it. Then Opened the application using the multimedia key then prompted me to download from my nokia's browser but after a few... Gateway Not Found..
I tried going to this link (http://www.n-gage.com/firstaccess/first_access_n-gage_v1.00_1262.zip)
But the application is not available for downloading.... ('Not Found').
