N73 - not displaying new messages

I upgraded my n73's firmware about a month ago and i am on Vodafone. On Saturday my phone stopped displaying and vibrating when i received a new text message, it also doesn't display the little mail picture under the the operator name. However i've noticed that when the screen saver comes on it displays that there is a new message and its not only when i keep checking my inbox that i will know.
Please help me out!!

I hv the same problem after upgraded my Nokia N73ME. from ver 3.0638 to ver 3.0705.1.0.31.
Before that all my sms was store in SD card memory. after upgraded it I cant read the sms message in the SD memory card. Even a new sms came in i just can see the sms subject but not able to open it.
Anybody facing this problem? but if i switch the sms storage selection to memory phone, I am able to view the message.

Why do IMAP accounts not display new messages in viewer?

I have been having persistent problems with Mail not displaying new IMAP messages in the viewer. I know the messages are on the server because I can see them on my iPhone. Sometimes they will appear if I quit Mail, then relaunch it. Other times it is necessary to restart to make them appear. I have deleted and recreated the accounts (MobileMe and Gmail), reinstalled the 10.5.7 update and applied the latest Java update.
The Console messages make it seem like in might be a conflict with Safari 4.02. Upon starting Mail I get messages like this:
07/27/2009 3:01:35 PM Mail[302] WebKit Threading Violation - NSData* -[WebArchive data](WebArchive*, objc_selector*) called from secondary thread.
I've seen similar complaints elsewhere in forums, but have found no solutions. Is there one?

Can you refrain from viewing the messages on the iPhone, and only check via webmail to see if new ones are then failing to be noted?
Btw, in Mail Preferences/Accounts/Advanced is use IDLE selected for either account -- I select it for MobileMe, but not for Gmail? When selected for MobileMe, the mail is "pushed" to eligible devices, and in Mail, results in the new message chime not sounding for that one account.

had my N73 for months everything been ok!
For some reason today it will not display when I get a txt message, it does when i have a missed call but not when i get a txt...doesnt make a noise or anything!

Not displaying new messages

Before when I checked my email, the number of new messages would be displayed on the email icon on my screen. Now it doesnt show up, even tho there are new, unopen messages in my mailbox. I've tried powering off & Hard reset. Anyone else had this problem?

Try deleting, then re-adding the mail account.

Safari will not display new domain endings on iPad

Safari will not display new domain endings, instead goes to google, other browsers have no issue with this just safari. My domain per example ends in .photo rather than .com etc.... This is only an issue on the iPad or mobile app of safari.

You need to check that website again, after clearing the cookies from browser. If it still unable to connect with the website having new domain names then message to Safari forum about the problem or inform them via feedback option available in browser. Hopefully they would troubleshoot this problem.

Mail not showing new messages

As of about 4 days ago my Mail app is not displaying new e-mails. It says '19 incoming messages' but they never appear. I have tried:
- Replacing mail.plist with older version from time machine
- Rebuilding mailboxes
- Asking my web hosts if there is any problem their end - no problems there.
- Checked the 'get account info' box which displays the 19 messages with 'unknown sender' still on the server.
Any other ideas anyone?

This seems to an ongoing issue (see related discussion link). We've been experiencing the same update lag since last Friday. The new additions to the Collection appear and are accessible in both the iPad and iPhone applications, but even though they additions appear in "Quick View", the material doesn't appear in the Collection itself. Apple is aware of the issue and is investigating. All the best...

ADF FACES: af:messages/ does not display my messages at all

I am having an issue displaying messages using ADF MyFaces EA20.

Within all backing beans I call messages with the following method to conveniently display messages when needed.

With the first login page when validating username and password, the messages I send to the context display correctly, for example, incorrect password please try again and this uses exactly the same code as above in the backing bean.
However once a session has started the messages simply do not get displayed and are not included in the HTML the <af:messages /> is replaced with nothing.
No runtime exception is thrown.
If anyone has any idea of why the messages are not being displayed I would be very grateful to hear them.
Finally if I may add that I used this method of displaying messages in a previous project and it was fine. This time the only difference is that I am using Hibernate.
The closest answer I could find to a similar issue with Oracle Forums was:
The messages have to be added before the Render Response phase. It's generally very unusual to add messages in a bean getter/setter. I'd restrict yourself to adding messages in event listeners and actions.
I do put messages in my setter methods as this is where I perform validation, but I have tried moving them to the main method called by the action button and this still does not display my messages.

There is a standard way? Next time you can simply tell me to RTFM ;-) . I am working on a project and was assigned my particular section and was told that the messaging aspect and validation was not urgent, until now near the end of the project when it has become urgent. Rather then listen to my colleagues answer of "this is the way to do it" your answer suggested that we working in a non-standard way.
Having looked at Oracle JDeveloper 10g (10.1.3) Documentation, Validation, Conversion, and the Application Lifecycle section I noticed:
Render response:
Either display new page based on invoked navigation rules, or displays same page with errors.
I was providing a new navigation String to the same page under all conditions, which I guess gives a new context and so does not display the messages. Under error conditions I now return an empty navigation String and now it displays my messages.
Thank you for your help with this and I promise to read the manual next time.

Mail not displaying certain messages

Mail is suddenly not displaying certain messages in mailboxes. I can see and select the message in the center pane, but when I click on it to display, I get the "Loading" text and the spinner. This continues without resolution, though sometimes the messages will display after quitting Mail and/or rebuilding the Mailbox.
It is not random messages that do this, but always the same ones that refuse to display. But they will display sometimes after a rebuild, so I know they aren't gone.
Some have image attachtments, others do not.
This just started this morning, following running Disk Utility to repair some HD corruption last night. Prior to that, Mail (and Safari) had been running very slowly for about three weeks.
I have already repaired permissions on this drive.

I had the same problem. I took your advice and rebuilt the mailbox-voila. The problem was solved. I have also noticed Safari running slow. I will try and run Disk Utility

Select the problem mailbox in the mailbox list, then select
Mailbox ▹ Rebuild
from the menu bar.

My aol inbox does not automatically refresh and display new messages in firefox, but it does in google chrome. How do I fix this?

I have been trying to update settings to allow my aol mail to automatically refresh when new messages come in, vs having to click on the "inbox" in order to view new messages. I followed aol's troubleshooting steps to allow for this, and I finally got it to work in google chrome... but it will not automatically refresh in firefox. can you please help? thanks!

Phone stopped displaying new messages

Hi all, for some reason my N73 just stopped notifying me whenever I receive a new text msg. If I check my inbox it will be there but other than that my phone won't ring and the display saying "1 new message" doesn't come up anymore. Are there settings that I'm missing? Thanks.

do you have most up to date firmware on your phone? try removing some messages and see if it changes. you can alos try factory restore *#7780# the default is 12345 you will not lose any data but will have to reset the basic settings. also consider taking out the battery for 5 min. after you do this and see if it helps any

FRM-40200 (Not displaying the message)

Hello Guru,
I am using oracle database 11g and forms 10.0.1.2.3 version. I have a for with 2 block. One block is non data base block. Another is data base block, but query data source type is from clause query. i.e. this block is depend on a query. In the when-new-form-instance trigger I am executing the query add getting the result. The block insert and update property is false. After load the form If I am updating the items value, I am not getting the message "FRM-40200: Form is protected against update". Alos the on-error and on-message triggers are not firing. In on-error trigger I am not handing any error, also I am not supressing any error in the on-message. Any reasion for this, and how to display the default message?

hi,
a from clause query does not allow updates.
You have a couple of options.
Convert your from clause query to a vew and (if the view is key-preserved) you will be able to update the returned records
Base your block on a procedure and write update/lock procedures to process your updates

Mail not displaying any messages. Blank preview panes.

I am not entirely sure when this started, but here is my problem:
I have to constantly quit and re-open Mail. When it is hidden or minimized in the dock and I receive a new mail message (which I am notified by the red badge number on the dock icon) I will not be able to see any of my messages when I bring the window to focus. If I select the Inbox...nothing. If I select individual accounts...nothing. It says I have a new message and there is a new message indicated by a number next to the account name, but the preview pane and message list pane will display absolutely nothing.
The only way to fix it is to quit and then re-open, but it will usually happen right again. That's the odd part...this does not happen all the time.
I currently have 3 mail accounts setup as IMAP exactly the same on my iMac and Macbook running Leopard 10.5.2.
To make it more confusing, this problem occurs on the Macbook about 10% of the time.
Any suggestions?

It was a looooooong process and I would hate to leave out any steps and cause you to lose your saved mail.
Try this first.
Call them. Ask for tech support.
On the prompt, say "leopard"
When they ask for what kind of computer tell them the computer you are working on.
They will ask you for your name, etc. and serial number of your computer.
In my experience, they haven't asked for the date of my purchase of leopard.
Maybe they look up when you registered it; I don't know.
Anyway, tell them the issue & say a friend resolved it thru tech support, but the problem had to be bumped up to a "product specialist."
If they don't help you, post again and tell me.
