N73, Upgrade V4.0726.2.0.1 bug

Hi everyone,
Lately i upgraded my n73-1's firmware from 3.xxx to V4.0726.2.0.1. Everything works fine except the fact that i cannot chose Sandby Mode Apps : The basic 6 icon set cannot be changed since the Param - Phone - Stanby Mode - Standby Apps does not work...
- Am i the only one in this situation ?
- Is there any means to fix this ?
Thanks in advance...

Your best bet is back up only contact, message etc, but setting by PC Suite. Then copy all content in MiniSD to PC via card reader (you have to set folder option in Windows >> show system and hidden files first). Then hard reset your phone >> just restore back up >> format MiniSD by phone then copy back just nescessary files from contents of your card earlier copied to PC. The files you need back should be under folder image and sound, the rest of your favourite programs have to be re-installed. I had have done all that, now my phone works as it intended to be.

  • Upgrade iOS6.x.x to fix bug

I just read that there is an upgrade for iOS6.1.3, that will fix the goto bug. How do I install that on my iPhone without leaping to OS7.  I don't want to upgrade to iOS7 at this time.
    Here is what I read:
The iOSs affected by this bug are as follows: iOS 6.x before 6.1.6 and 7.x before 7.0.6, Apple TV 6.x before 6.0.2, and Apple OS X 10.9.x before 10.9.2.
This is the kind of update that should not be ignored, and it doesn’t take long to install. Apple has pushed out updates for iOS 7 users, as well as for iOS 6 users who’ve been wary to make the jump to the firm’s newest system. The firm has also released an update for Apple TV.

You can't. The version of iOS 6 containing the fix is only compatible with the iPhone 3GS and fourth generation iPod touch, both of which can't run iOS 7.

  • Warning for Quicktime upgrade 7.04.  It is bugging with Firefox.

Stay away from this upgrade if you are using Firefox. You might, as I did, get quick time questionmarks instead of pictures.
I reinstalled to 7.01 and got rid of it.
Why do Apple release updates that ***** up instead of resolving **** ups?

Quicktime 7.04 really did a number on Firefox for me. Everytime I wanted to view an Acrobat .pdf file Quicktime opened it! I tried turning off the .pfd file selection in the prefs but it didn't work. Also same thing in Safari. I only installed it to watch the keynote and now I've gone back to 6.5.2 Pro.

  • Upgrading to FCE 4, fixing capture bug from FCE 3

If I upgrade to FCE 4, will this take care of the horrific capture problem using QT 7.3 in FCE 3 which does not work?

Tom, you may remember my threads, my problems all came from using a DV converter only. I did not have camera, drive, or computer problems. Plus, since video captures fine in iMovie, it does isolate the capture problem to these factors: FCE 3.0, QT 7.3, and OS 10.4.11. I guess before I spend the $99 to upgrade to FCE 4, I'm trying to cover all of the bases and make sure there is not any other way or option to correct it. Thanks...

  • Itunes 8 upgrade problems. Is there a bug that needs to be fixed?

    (macbook, os 10.5.4)
It downloaded the itunes 8 upgrade several days ago. It was working fine, for a few hours and I was enjoying the new icons, etc.
Then, all of a sudden, I could no longer open up that itunes window, no matter what I did. I tried disk utilities, verifying and repairing permissions, as an apple friend recommended, that didn't help. I then went and re-installed itunes 8, AGAIN, and nothing changed.
So now, in order to access any of my itunes library, music, etc. I have to go into find and put in itunes and then I can find all my stuff and I can access, but I'd like to get my itunes window back.
Please help with very explicit instructions. I am a non-techy and am amazed I even figured out how to do what I've done.
    Thanks!
    macbook Mac OS X (10.5.4)

I had the same problem with my sister's iphone. Mine would show up but not her's.
Her phone was password protected , so I asked her to unlock her phone and I plugged it back again and it worked right away. Try it if it's password protected !

  • MAJOR FREAKING UPGRADE OR ITS A MAJOR FREAKING BUG

I JUST BOUGHT 4 NEW CARTRIDGE FOR MY EPSON PRINTER, AND DID SOME PRINTING ALREADY BY THE 3 PRINT IT WAS TELLING ME THAT IT NEEDED NEW INK, I HAVE NO IDEA WHATS GOING ON BUT THE LATEST OS X UPDATE HAS SCREW EITHER THE PRINTER DRIVER OR SOMETHING IS WRONG I WENT THROUGH 2 CARTRIDGE AND NOW I HAD TO REPLACE ALL 4 AND ITS NOT CHEAP THIS IS COSTING ME LOTS OF MONEY.

1 What did you print? Depending on model printer and type of cartridge, Epson inkjet printers tend to get 150-300 pages per cart at 5% coverage. If you print pages which have more than 5% coverage you will get considerably fewer pages. This is especially so if you print pictures on glossy photo paper.
2 Which model printer do you have?
3 How many pages did you print?
4 Did you have to clear clogged print heads? Doing that can use up 10% of the ink in the cart, so clearing the heads two or three times can reduce the available ink appreciably. Note that some model printers, and not just Epson printers, will run the clean head routine automatically.
5 Which driver did you use?
6 You do know that Apple merely publishes the drivers, and it's the machine's vendor, in this case Epson, which writes them, don't you?
7 You do know that ranting in ALL CAPS is likely to make you seem to be someone who shouldn't be taken seriously, don't you? Over and above the minor fact that it's hard to read. And that means that you're not at all likely to get assistance.

  • Can't find Range Extender after installing firmware upgrade to fix the 802.11n bug

I got my RE1000 shortly after Christmas but had trouble after a while where devices would claim they were connected to my wifi network but not really have a connection.
I discovered by doing a network scan that my router was broacasting/accepting B/G/N... all of my devices support N, so they were connecting on N... but the RE1000 wasn't broadcasting/accepting N... only G.
Since the RE was on G, this caused major issues trying to connect.
So in late Jan / early Feb I updated the firmware on the device as per instructions from the Cisco rep... but didn't have a chance to plug it back in and test until now.
Now when I plug it in, it lights up all solid green... but in the setup (Windows 7 / PC) the setup can't find the device.  My laptop and the RE are within 25 feet of the router... and the laptop and RE are about 6-10 feet apart (I tested different distances to ensure it wasn't too close)
So now I'm stuck... I can't even verify if the RE1000 is properly updated.
What can I do or do I need to return this unit?

    scunliffe,
What is the model number of your router? Is it a Linksys device too? You can configure the RE1000 manually, you will have to connect your laptop straight to the RE1000 via ethernet cable and access its setup page by typing 192.168.1.1 on your browser.
    Check this link: http://kb.linksys.com/Linksys/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=76055e8973f5487f82d2d3f610da4c02_Accessing_the_web...

Scenario 1 is applicable for you: Using a wired computer.
You may need to disable the WiFi capability on your laptop while doing this to make sure that it is not connected wirelessly to any network. You may need to have both the RE1000 and the laptop at least 6-10 feet away from your router.
I would say you are fmiliar with the wireless settings on your router, right? You will need those information to configure the RE1000 (SSID, Channel Width, Security Mode, and Passphrase).
For the steps, check this link: http://kb.linksys.com/Linksys/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=bc79b0ee350f404d82f231d729bc9530_Manually_Configur...

  • Fios Upgrade Bugs

Since last weeks upgrade I have noticed the following bugs, wondering if they are system wide or specific to my installation:
    1. Caller ID now shows up about 30 seconds into the call, it would be more helpful to know who is calling before I pick up.
    2. The guide screen for shows just started does not display properly, when scrolling you see a show that has just ended, but when focus on the detail comes into view the name is displayed to the now showing show.  Why have the scroll if it's not accurate
    3. Guide scrolling has become slower in the new interface.
    4. DVR has become very flakey, competing shows start and the warning comes up after the show has stared of the conflict.
    5. On-Demand.  Was it allways this way (don't think so) that you can no longer fast forward more than 2x.  Fios dropped me in the middle of a purchased movie and I had to start from the beginning, resume play did not work (started over) and could only 2x fast forward.

When you try to schedule shows that are further out than the current schedule, the dvr reboots.  Happened twice today When trying to schedule Touch which starts 1/25.  Problem occurs When trying to schedule the show or series.  I have two 7232 dvrs with attached esata drives.

  • Audio Issues After Upgrade to linux 3.9.2-1

I did an upgrade today and now I'm having an issue with my audio. What happens is it'll sound like it is skipping every few seconds. What I notice is the headphone symbol flickers on in the GNOME top bar, as if my computer thinks the headphones got plugged in and then removed vary rapidly. My first thought was poor connection to the wire going to my speakers, but it is fine, the speakers work with my laptop no problem, and the same problem comes with my headphones. Also I didn't have this problem before the update.
I was having trouble finding any info elsewhere about it, was wondering if anyone had a similar issue. The update I suspect is the linux kernel 3.8.11-1 -> 3.9.2-1, though I suppose I have no basis for suspecting it. Below is the pacman.log for today when I upgraded.

EDIT: So, after some not so successful searching I decided to test my suspicion. I downgraded from linux 3.9.2-1 back to 3.8.11-1. So, now how would I go about determining which package broke the audio? I had suspected the linux kernel update, but I suppose the nvidia update could have done it to. If necessary I'd love to file a bug, but I want to make sure I can describe it efficiently. (I've never filed a bug before.)
EDIT (5/31/2013): Currently some work arounds that may alleviate your issue, the one that worked for me is to disable auto-mute in alsamixer. The problem however does still exist in the latest kernel upgrade, 3.9.4-1. Bug report is still open, and can be found here: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/35262
    Thanks,

Thanks for reporting it. Slight note though, I had no noise at all (no flickering).
If someone could update this thread when a new kernel works, that'd be great! I put it in my IgnorePkg for the moment.
Is there anyway to edit a bug report? I don't see anything obvious, but I'm exhausted, so maybe my brain isn't working properly. Anyway, if there isn't, I'd just leave a comment on the report with the fact that you hear nothing, not even the flicker.
And thanks for reminding me to add it to IgnorePkg, forgot to/never have had to do that before. But I'll be sure to post here when I know it's fixed.

  • ECC-600 EHP4 upgrade with VIRSAHR 520 700 - PREP_EXTENSION/ADDON_QCALC

We have alreacy checked note 1002147, which clearly states that we have to include SAPK-523EXINVIRSAHR in the upgrade. SAP_HR is part of the upgrade.
We have included SAP_HR and other Support Package as per the queue generated by Solution Manager, but we did not include VIRSAHR & VIRSANH Packages until we got to this phase. We then included these support packages in eps\in directory, but we are now getting this error now.
    Any ideas?

    Hi
This is what the solution provided by SAP Support:
    Quote:
we have finally found the problem, it's a bug in the package upload
functionality used by the upgrade. The consequence of this bug is that
Support Packages whose EPS files (.PAT files) have a certain string in
the name, namely the string 0000000 after the _ and before .PAT
extension, are not properly uploaded to the ABAP system and hence are
not visible or known to the upgrade.
This bug will be fixed in the next upgrade tool fix, but in the meantimeyou can use the following workaround:
Check your EPS/in directory after the CAR/SAR Archives of the SPs are
extracted and rename all .PAT and .ATT files, which have a name like
*_0000000.PAT (or *_0000000.ATT), by changing the string 0000000 to
9000000. For example, for the VIRSANH SP SAPK-52302INVIRSANH rename the
    file VS30020106486_0000000.PAT to VS30020106486_9000000.PAT
Afterwards, the upgrade will upload the informations about the SP
properly and the SP can be included into the upgrade.
    Files:
    31/01/2007 07:32 329 VS30020106486_0000000.ATT
    31/01/2007 07:32 554,073 VS30020106486_0000000.PAT
If these two files are renamed to e.g.
    VS30020106486_9000000.ATT
    VS30020106486_9000000.PAT
the affected VIRSANH SP2 is uploaded correctly by the upgrade
functionality and the SP inclusion of the VIRSANH SPs works.
Sorry, as of now I cannot promise you a date when the tool fix will be
available. I have found this bug only today in the evening (german time)and will discuss this with the responsible colleagues tomorrow.
    Afterwards, I will know more...
    Unquote:
Hope this helps. We have decided against upgrading to 530_700 as it will involve upgrading GRC system and also new version has lot of new functionalities, which we like explore it after the ECC upgrade.
Also, I would not suggest deleting VIRSAHR as all the config and customising done for VIRSAHR will be lost.

  • Safari 4.0 progress bar and Top Sites bugs (?)

    Hi there,
I am having a problem with my Safari 4 and been searching for a fix since a few days but could not find a solution, so I hope there is someone who can help me out.
There are basically two problems, I have with Safari.
The first one is, that since Safari 4.0 there is a new kind of a "progress bar" which changes its color and is actually at first dark and then gets more light while loading a page. My progress bar is not chaning colors at all. It just stays dark all the time.
And the second one, is that if you have a site on you "Top Sites" and click that, it fades in, so it comes nearer and gets larger until it fits the window. So, if you go back from that site to you "Top Sites" again, it actually should fade out and move back to its old position on the "Top Sites". And again, my Safari does not do that either.
I don't know, if that is improtant or not, but I played around with the Safari 4 beta tweaks and changed the progress bar so I have the blue one in the background of my adress bar.
I already tried to restore my old Safari from my Programs folder with Time Machine and installed the 4.0 again but still, it does not work for me.
I know that these are not somehow critical bugs but it would be great, if Safari would just work, as it actually should.
So, is there a way to fix that or reset Safari?
    Thank you in advance!

    Hi
Latest v of Glims (17) is Safari 4 compatible. Cooliris is functional, although a soon to be released upgrade will correct certain S4 related bugs. Tab Expose is not S4 compatible.
There is no blue progress bar in Safari 4. In S4 Beta, Terminal code was used to bring that S3 feature back, however, S4 final has removed the related code. Hence, no blue progress bar. Instead, there's a spinning gear to the right of the Address Bar indicating the page is loading.
Let Apple hear your sentiments about S4. Send feedback to Apple via the Safari Menu>Report bugs to Apple.

  • I've upgraded to Snow Leopard, Aperture 3 won't open.

I've finally upgraded to snow leopard (hoping the bugs would all be worked out!)  Aperture 3 won't open.  I did the "fix" found under aperture support.  However, the advised,  3.1.1 update for aperture won't open either, saying it I need to install aperture 3 first (it is installed!)  help please....

Please see this thread and do follow all the instructions.
Just upgrade to Snow.  Now Aperture 3.1 will not start.
I know you have Aperture 3 installed and feel its silly to reinstall it but just try it.
