N96 - Calendar entries in Standby?

The calendar entries that appear on the front screen, ie standby - is there anyway to have more than one or two?
The calendar entries I have are very random, for instance, I had 3 calendar items yesterday, 2 calendar items today and 3 tomorrow. Yesterday I only had 1 entry displayed in standby, today I have the 2 for today. I would really prefer to see the whole week if possible.

Hi, I am having exactly the same problem following the upgrade. I emailed Nokia support - firstly they told me to take the battery out for 15 mins and when I emailed back to tell them that didnt work they have now responded to say I should restore factory settings.
I am not convinced this is going to work. In fact, reading their response again I am not convinced that the person responding actually knows what my query is about - I find this so frustrating.
Can anyone help please? I would really appreciate it as I relied on being able to see ahead so as not to forget stuff and it is driving me mad.

Calendar entries in Active Standby mode

A double question, but both are closely related.
In Active Standby mode it shows upcoming calendar entries for today and future ones.
Q1) Can someone clarfify does it only show 1 entry for future events, since I have placed 2 entries for tomorrow and 1 for the day after. But only 1 (the first) appears in Active Standby.
Q2) I THINK IS A BUG!! It does not show Anniversary as future events in Active Standby. It only appears when it is on the day (bit late if you need to buy a present!).

I think this is by design. Not quite sure what the basis is of what is included and what is not. Items from the current day seem to show up in greater numbers than in future days.

Nokia N96 Active Desktop Calendar Entries

Hi Guys,
Does anyone if/how I can change my Nokia N96 active desktop from showing every calendar entry to just showing the current dates calendar entries?
I only want to view the entries from the current day and not throughout the month.
Any help would be appreciated!

NSU says that there isn't an update (currently 4.52) for my phone.
In the mean time I've found out that I have an "Orange" version. All these versions suffer from the same problem.
Is there a way to install a generic 6233 firmware on my handset?

N96 Calendar Stopped Working

Hey guys
My N96 calendar has suddenly stopped working. There are no entries listed on the user screen as usual, and when you go into the calendar no dates are shown at all and you cannot scroll through month or add entries etc...
I've tried restarting the phone and updated the firmware, but this has not fixed the issue.
Does anyone know how to reboot the calendar, or have any other ideas?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Something strange must have happen. I guess you have to do a hard reset. Dont forgett to backup all your stuff.

Iphone Calendar Entries don't show up on Mobile Me

This is new problem - I think it started after I entered the latest ITunes update and MAC OS X (10.6.6)
When I make calendar entries on Mobile Me or ICal, they automatically show up on my IPhone. However, it doesn't work the other way around. I have made calendar entries on my phone and they don't appear on Mobile Me or ICal.
Please HELP!

Syncing Calendar with MobileMe is bi-directional, so if entries get from MobileMe to the phone, entries made on the phone should get to MobileMe (and to your laptop).
The only time I've seen your problem is with a jailbroken phone. Is that the case here? (Still using iOS 4.2...)

Z10 calendar entries can't be deleted

On getting my Z10 I performed a device swop using Blackberry Link from from Blackberry 9860 running OS 7.1.
It was a virtual failure, only copying a few pieces of data, no contacts at all and only a few calendar entries, which were from 2011. On my Z10 I delete these old entries, some of which are recurring ones, only to find that when I restart my phone they all return. I have tried battery pulls and editing them so they no longer are recurring entries but nothing works. I start the phone in the morning and they all return.
Can anyone help?

Are these calendar entries synchronized with any email accounts? Like Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail?
If they are, I would suggest turning off Wireless synchronization and then remove the calendar entries and test.
Go to Setting>Accounts and delete the calendar account.

Duplicate calendar entries on iPhone, but not in iCal (NOT using mobile.me)

I've had a problem for a while (since iOS 3) where I get duplicate events on the iPhone (3GS and 4). It seems to happen for events that have been edited/deleted - they are not edited on the phone, rather a duplicate is made. It seems as if what is supposed to happen is iTunes deletes the old one, then creates a new one, only the old one is not being deleted. This is very annoying, especially for recurring events that get edited several times!
I have found several posts about duplicate contacts and calendar entries but they all seem to be pointing to a conflict with mobile.me which I do not use. This is a simple sync between iCal and iPhone using iTunes.
Does anyone know what could be causing this?

I used to have this issue on my original iPhone (the 2G from 2007). You have to reset your sync data. This should help you; http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627?viewlocale=en_US BUT don't shoot the messenger on this as I did a quick Google search.

You should be syncing all your contacts and calendars with your computer, either via iCloud or iTunes, so it is easy to re-sync them back to the phone after you restore.

This happened to me too but it was really all there. Go to your calendar, click on calendar in the upper left hand corner, click on show all calendars, click done in the right upper corner. Everything should show up!!!

Installing Maverick on my Mac lost almost all of the calendar entries. They are still on my iPhone and new entries move freely to both devices via iCloud. How do I get the entries from my iPhone to iCloud without losing them from iPhone?

Like many others after I installed Maverick I found that all the calendar history has been lost and most of the forward info has also been lost. Also in order to get calendar, contacts and notes to sync with the iPhone I have had to move to iCloud. Contacts and notes sync fine. new calendar entries sync ok. My iPhone has all the calendar entries that were on the Mac before I installed Maverick. So far iCloud has not overwritten them nor have they synced onto iCloud.
How can I get all the entries from my iPhone onto iCloud, without losing the only copy of my calendar from my iPhone?
Thanks Apple for deciding to take over my privacy. I do not want this data stored on a US based server. Fortunately Mail still syncs via my own email provider. I guess Apple will find a way to stop that soon too!

It seems you are experiencing an issue with contact syncing and management. It seems you've removed an email account which contained a number of contacts that are not associated with your iCloud account. I have linked to a knowledge base article which provides more information about iCloud contacts syncing:

You may want to consider importing the contacts from the email account you removed. You can do it easily by following the steps in this article:
iCloud: Import a vCard
You can import an electronic business card, also called a vCard, into iCloud Contacts. If the vCard contains contact information for more than one person, each contact becomes a separate entry.
In iCloud Contacts, choose Import vCard from the Action pop-up menu , which appears at the bottom of the All Contacts list or a list of group contacts
Select a vCard to import.
The contacts from the vCard are added to the All Contacts group in Contacts. You can add the contacts to any other group by dragging them to the desired group.

How can i swap the content such as messages, calendar entries, apps and app data between two iphone 4s?

I have a Iphone 4s and my friend has one too and we want to switch phones but do not want to lose any data or message or calendar entries, we want the same exact content avaliable in my phone swapped to his and his to mine. how can this be done?

Back up your phones onto your respective computers with iTunes, swap phones, Reset them and when you connect it to iTunes, instead of "Set up as a new iPhone", click on restore from back up

I recently updated to IOS6 and I cannot sync my calendar to icloud and all my notes are not appearing in cloud. If I have a new calendar entry, it is on my phone, but not on icloud. Need help making sure I don't lose any informaiton.

I recenly updated to IOS6. I have a couple issues after the process.
1- I lost all my calendar entries after the date I upgraded to IOS6 (all before the date were there). I created an icloud account to assure that I would not lose any going forward. Now when I enter a calendar entry, it does not appear on my icloud account. I can enter it in icloud and it will appear on my phone, but not the reverse.
2 - None of my notes transferred into icloud. I tried to manually enter one on icloud, again so I wouldn't lose this information going forward, and it appears on my iphone twice. I cannot figure out how to get the notes currently on my iphone into my icloud account.

How do I remove duplicate iCloud calendar entries in iTunes

Hello Everyone and thanks in advance for any help on this issue!
The main issue is that in iTunes>Devices>Info>Sync Calendars, I see of Local calendars listed and also iCloud calendars listed (they show a portion of the address (CalDAV?) that they use to sync), and the issue is that I have DUPLICATE iCloud calendar entries here and I would love to remove them.
Here is my setup:
MBP with Lion and iPhone 3G with all updates.
All of my calendars sync with iCloud (I also have an iPad, but not issue with it.) and there are no duplicate calendars or events in iCloud on the web, so this is fine.
I sync my iCloud/iCal calendars to my iPhone 3G (iOS 4.2.1) via iTunes and this is going well, so no problems here, either.
I would just like to remove the duplicate iCloud calendars from iTunes under the Info pane so as to simplify life and my understanding. Also, there are other apps (like TimeTable) that go and read the master list of calendars. So, on this app, I see ALL of the calendars by name without being able to distinguish them any other way.
Any ideas as to how I can climb inside of iTunes and remove the duplicate iCloud calendar entries?

I can confirm that there are no duplicate contacts. Currently, because I use an iPhone 3G, my contacts are only being synced via iTunes, not via iCloud.
My question relates not to duplicate calendar events, but to duplicate calendar addresses (in iCloud) in iTunes' Info pane.
Here is a pic:
So, you can see that there are 2 entries for 'Personal', each with the iCloud address (CalDAV?) attached to it. Note that one entry says, 'Personal iCld' instead of just 'Personal'. This is because I renamed all of my iCloud calendars in iCal to see if that would help me distinguish the 'working' calendars from the duplicate entries.
I would love to be able to get rid of the extra calendars in iTunes to avoid confusion. I do not have any duplicate calendar entries on any devices at this point. I think part of this is because I have deslected the duplicate calendar references in iTunes.
Any ideas?

How do I get rid of duplicate calendar entries in my notifications?

I managed to get rid of all my duplicate calendar entries on my calendar. I unchecked all but the two calendars I use.
The problem is that when I go to my notifications screen, under "Calendar", it still shows all my entries like three times. How do I get rid of this? It takes up all the realestate on my notifications.

Sounds like your syncing Calendars over the air with iCloud, as well as with a supported Calendar application on your computer. Doing both will duplicate your entries, so do one or the other, not both.
