"User names cannot start with a number" error while adding a user

Is it possible to use WL Portal 7.0 admin framework to manage users with all numeric
user id ?
I got an error "User names cannot start with a number" while trying to add users
with all numeric user ids. I am using "portalAppTools" web app provided with WL
7.0 out of the box.
What "out the box" functionality do I need to change to make this happen ? Thanks

The problem is that when we have user groups starting with a number, then the search
feature doesn't work for user groups (case # 466837 with BEA).
So, which brings me to the following question:
a. Should the search feature work?
b. What is the limitation? I mean, it is designed not to allow user groups starting
with a number. So, there must be a reason for this. So, if we change "disallowFirstCharDigit",
will it have any impacts on Portal?
As an aside, it seems somewhat strange that the Portals can start with a number!

HT1473 iTunes message saying the song names for this cd could not be found online when it's iTunes store, What's up with that?

I just purchased The Very Best Of Eagles CD, Popped it into my drive so excited to own the copy but when I tired to copy it to my Library I get this message saying the song names for this cd could not be found online when it's in the iTunes store, What's up with that? Is there any way to get track information and artwork without Having to manually inter all the info?

iTunes gets track information from Gracenote's database, so iTunes must be able to reach gracenote.com and the CD must have been entered there by some purchaser already (all CD information in Gracenote is provided by we users). If these are common, commercially-distributed CDs, it may be that there is a firewall or privacy filter blocking access to gracenote.com. If these are unusual, independently-released or rare CDs, they just may not be in Gracenote yet. In the case of a custom CD where it's a compilation, Gracenote probably won't be able to identify them (it goes by complete albums, comparing the number and length of the tracks to try and figure out what album it is).

Yes, I just noticed this after upgrading to 5.0.1. That's why I came here to this forum. I tried re-syncing with address book, but it didn't help. Not only is my text messages only showing phone numbers, instead of contact names, but my call log is doing that as well.

ACE SNMP cesRserverTotalConns "There is no such variable name in this MIB"

I have an ACE 4710 appliance currently running version A3(2.6), though earlier revisions had the same behavior. I am able to query some parts of the CISCO-ENHANCED-SLB-MIB, but others result in "(noSuchName) [t]here is no such variable name in this MIB." For instance, I can successfully `snmpwalk` cesRserverOperStatus, cesRserverStatechangeDescr, and several other OIDs, but not cesRserverTotalConns, cesRserverFailedConns, nor cesRserverCurrConns. I've also tried `snmpget` of specific real servers with the same results. Things like OperStatus and IpAddress work, but Total, Failed, and CurrConns do not.

I have reviewed the Cisco ACE 4700 Series Appliance Administration Guide - Configuring SNMP document and read the "SNMP Limitations" which states "[i]f an SNMP MIB table has more than one string index that contains more than 48 characters, the index may not appear in the MIB table when you perform an SNMP walk. According to SNMP standards, the SNMP requests, response, or traps cannot have more than 128 subidentifiers."
If that is the reason this doesn't work, could someone please more adequately explain the difference between querying the OperStatus versus the CurrConns when the OID I'm querying in each instance is the exact same length? And is there anything that I could change in my configuration so that I can query connection information with SNMP?
If that documented SNMP limitation is not the reason that those particular queries fail, does anyone have any idea what the problem might be and/or next steps I should take in troubleshooting and resolving the issue?

Are you using snmp v1? If so, please try snmp v2.

Domain functional level:Windows Server 2003
When Winxp join domain, have no this error message.
I checked http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2018583?wa=wsignin1.0 does't work.
There have 3 suggestion in this article:
1.The "Disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP" checkbox has been disabled in the IPv4 properties of the computer being joined.
Doesnt's work.
2.Connectivity over UDP port 137 is blocked between client and the helper DC servicing the join operation in the target domain.
On my DC, I run netstat -an, reslut as below:
UDP 192.168.20.3:137 *:*
3.The TCP/IPv4 protocol has been disabled so that the client being joined or the DC in the destination domain targeted by the LDAP BIND is running TCP/IPv6 only.
We are not using IPV6.
This server recently updated from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008 R2. Before upgrade, when Win7 and Win2008 join this domain, also have the same error message.
Please help to check this issue.

I have faced this critical error which makes over-writes the host names in the domain when you join.
For example: Already you had a host name called as PC.domain.com in the domain.com Domain.
When you try to add the another host name called as PC in the domain.com Domain, it doesn't give you the duplicate name error on the network it does over-write the existing host name called as PC.domain.com & it will add the new host name into the domain.
Host name which got over-written will get removed from the domain. I faced this issue in my project. My DPM host name got removed from the Domain & new host name got joined into the domain which halted my backups for one day.
Final Resolution is as follows:
You need to start the dns console on the DC & drop down the domain name.
Select the _msdcs when you click on _msdcs it will show the Name Server's list on the right hand side.
You need to add the Domain Naming Master under the _msdcs or add all the domain controllers which you had.
After you add the Name server's try joining the PC OR Laptop to the domain which is successfully joins it.

How do I create a Skype Name in this new environme...

For a variety of reasons, I have created a new Microsoft Account. In attempting to set it up with Skype, I was never asked to create a Skype Name. This has created issues sining into Skype, as well as telling people how to Skype me. I do NOT want to give them my email address as my Skype contact. A Skype name is much more suited for this situation.
How do I create a Skype name that people can use to call me?
This beggs the question of why Loging into Skype and idnetification is co complicated. Associated with this one account there are the following methods of primary identification: Skype Name, Microsoft Account, Display Name, Skype Community Name, and there seems to be an additional display name for each Skype accont in the Community which begins with live: and then a modified form of the user's email address. That is A LOT to remember. I had a difficult time just logging in because it asks for my Skype name and the blank would not accept any of the aforementioned identifications. I had to get here by signing into Skype Desktop and then clicking a link to go through rather than signing in. The sign in would not accept my credentials.
Bottom line is all these issues would go away if I could figure out how to get a skype name.
