Naming Exception in looking up JMS queue

I use my code to send message to queue (DeliveryService/inbound) configured in an weblogic app server in a Dev. Environment. But when I use the same code but ofcourse different URL, username, password etc. to send to another queue with same JNDI (DeliveryService/inbound) @ SQA environment setup I get the following error:

i am also facing the same problem on Unix OS, even the Queue and Connectionfactories are deployed properly.
Any help/suggestion would be appreciated.
But in Windows env its working fine.

              well as the cluster.
              I can look up the queue from the node hosting the JMSServer, but cannot look up the
              queues from the 2nd node (server2).
              It just says that it cannot resolve the jndi name for the queue on Server2.
              According to weblogic docs, I should have transparent access to the queues from server2
              as long as i target both servers from the connection factory.
              Am I missing something?

    I don't use weblogic but the javax.naming.Name
    NotFoundException suggests that the JNDI name cannot be found or resolved.
    The name is specified in 2 locations, one in your java codes and the other during the deployment of the JMS application.
    The error means the java program cannot find the JNDI name which means you did not specify the name correctly during the deployment.
    Make sure both the names in java codes and deployment are right and matching. That should solve the problem.

    Below is the line of my LoginServlet class which is
    referred to in the stack trace - Object object =
    context.lookup
                        ( "java:comp/env/ejb/WarehouseClerk" );The root of the naming context is 'java:comp/env' and this is where lookup automatically begins for EJBs and resources. IOW, by specifying "java:comp/env/ejb/WarehouseClerk" as the EJB lookup name the server is actually treating this as "java:comp/env/java:comp/env/ejb/WarehouseClerk". Specify only the ejb context ("ejb/WarehouseClerk") in your lookup and you should be fine.
    Any help would be most appreciated.

  • Exception in the XML consuming from JMS Queue

    In the CEP application we have a business flow like we want to consume an xml message from the JMS queue.
    While CEP is consuming the message sometimes we are getting an exception.
    But this issue occurs rarely and we have no idea about the root cause.
    I am attaching the trace of this exception.
    It seems this exception is from weblogic server itself.
    Also this could be an interface problem, since its showing a casting error.
    The Bug description:
    When we send a meter event through SOAP UI in the CEP visualizer when the event is consumed CEP also shows this exception.
    This may not halt the analysis process of the event, but this unwanted piece of code/lines have to be avoided.

    I have created a queue connection factory as jms/AlertACF and destination resources as jms/AlertQueue with properties
    key : imqDestinationName
    value : AlertQueue
    and
    Physical destination as AlertQueue.
    I have applied all the changes to the server instance and restrated the server instance. In the log file the startup message like

  • Publish to JMS Queue Exception

    Have a web service based proxy. In a stage in the request pipeline,
    Am using a publish action to publish to a JMS queue using a Business Service.
    The Business Service is of type "Any SOAP Service" and transport is JMS.
    To test the error scenario, Have provided an incorrect queue name in the Business Service configuration.
    During testing from the test console, I do see a connection exception in the log.
    But the flow of control continues to the next action and stage in the request pipeline and then the response pipeline.
    My expectation was that , The Error Handler would be invoked.
    Is this the correct behaviour? Is there any configuration that needs to be done? Or should I be using a service callout instead?

    Yes, you can use Service Callout action and you will see exception raised. However, you can't use Service Callout for one-way operations (like simple message enqueuing) and that could be problem sometimes. Fortunately, you can still use Publish action to get your exception. Just use Routing Options with QoS set to "exactly once" in Request Action.

    I assume you are using queues.
              I truly wonder what you are doing different. Since the
              error is occuring outside of JMS and in the EJB - before JMS is called -
              I suggest posting to the ejb newsgroup.
              Note that yours is a standard use case which distributed destinations
              are actually specifically designed for (if you
              are using customer connection factories, just
              make sure ServerAffinity is enabled on the connection factory to
              ensure that clients always connect to the local physical destination,
              configure the MDB to refer to the JNDI name of the distributed
              destination, and then target the MDB to the cluster - an MDB pool
              will then automatically be dedicated to each physical destination).

  • Unable to send messag to JMS Queue using Java

    Hi all,
    I am trying to send a string to the JMS queue using java. I am unable to send the message. It is getting failed at the look up for connection factory. I am using the below code for this purpose.

Earlier in the thread you mentioned you were using WebLogic, so the answer may lie in the WebLogic documentation.

    I'm trying to get a handle of a JMS queue, which resides on Oracle App Server 10.1.3.4, from a Java Program which I'm trying to run from JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.
    I'm trying to make an RMI connection to the App server from JDeveloper by passing following information to the intialContext:

    Where the above information is related to our App Server.
    I'm successfully able to establish an RMI connection from JDev to Oracle App Server and can lookup datasources created on the App server using their
    JNDI names. However if I try to look up a JMS Queue from the App server using its JNDI name, I get an error as:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/tip/adapter/api/OracleConnectionFactory
    I have also tried to use the value "com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory" for "java.naming.factory.initial",
    however I still get the same error.

  • JMS Queue working with only one AIA instance.

    Hi,
    We are having a Web-Logic JMS Queue configured for an instance. I have developed a consumer in AIA instance to pull the messages from the Queue.
    And this works fine.
    Now I have an another instance consumer which is pointing to the same Queue, but it fails to get the messages from it.
    I have switched off the consumer in the FIRST instance, but even then consumer from the SECOND instance was not able to pull the messages.
    Later, I tried switching on the consumer of the FIRST instance, and all the messages were pulled in this instance.
    So how can I make it work with two AIA instances and one JMS Queue, provided only one AIA instance consumer is active at a time.

    * Likely your best bet is to check your server logs for "Error" and "Warning" messages, and/or, since these questions are specific to AIA's usage of JMS, post your questions to the AIA newsgroup.
    * WL JMS does not impose a limit on the number of consumers on a queue, but it does only allow one named connection with the same "client id" to connect at a time. Its unusual to name connections in queueing applications, but possible - and AIA may be doing this. (If this is the problem there should be "client id in use" style log messages or exceptions.)
    * Another possibility is a misconfiguration of your remote consumer. Make sure the URL is correct, and remember, if an application is running in the same cluster as the remote destination, don't specify a URL.
    * Also, if the remote consumer is running in a different domain, make sure the domains are named differently, and that no two JMS servers in the two domains have the same name (as per the unique naming restrictions documented in the Best Practices section of the JMS configuration guide -- http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/web.1111/e13738/best_practice.htm#CACJCGHG ).

  • Problem parsing TextMessage from a JMS queue

    I'm attempting to read and parse a TextMessage from a JMS queue. The message is in an XML format and I'm trying to parse it using "oraext:parseXML". If I hardcode a value such as:

    I can then parse "tempString" just fine. If I read the TextMessage in as a string and attempt the same thing, I constantly get
    "XPath expression failed to execute. An error occurs while processing the XPath expression; the expression is oraext:parseXML(bpws:getVariableData('tempString')). The XPath expression failed to execute; the reason was: internal xpath error. Check the detailed root cause described in the exception message text and verify that the XPath query is correct. "
    If I look at "tempString" in both scenarios (hardcoding the value and reading it in) the contents are basically the same, when reading it in via the JMS queue it does seem to put in line breaks after the elements to format it more like an XML document. For example, coming in from JMS the string looks like:
    <ns:person>
    <ns:personname>
    <ns:first>bob</ns:first>
    </ns:personname>
    </ns:person>
    But hardcoding the value it looks like:
    <ns:person><ns:personname><ns:first>bob</ns:first></ns:personname></ns:person>
    Should this affect anything?

    Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure I understand the difference between XML and an XML string. XML is just a well-formed text string, right?
    Anyway, your suggestion didn't work for me. The "ora:getContentAsString" call you suggested apparently strips away the XML and gives just the contents. For example, given the XML:

    <ns:personname>
    <ns:first>bob</ns:first>
    <ns:last>smith</ns:last>
    </ns:personname>
    </ns:person>
    "ora:getContentAsString" yields: "bobsmith", not the data structure.

              As TOM said, in your case weblogic interaoperabilty supports only from
              weblogic 5.1 to 6.1, that to specified service packs. you can go through the
              following url

              So you better go by using message bridges for foreign jms providers. The
              document has how you can configure about JNDI provider either File based Or
              Ldap based.
