Navigation Menu not showing in mobile

I'm working on this website and when I view the site on my iPhone, the navigation menu is not showing.  Any advice on what is preventing the menu from showing?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Michael

That was it Ben.  This site is actually one I designed several years ago and the customer just wanted to make some changes to color scheme and add a few new tabs.  Figured I would add a dropdown menu to better accommodate the additional pages and found a nice nav menu online.  I didn't see that the styles had media queries.  I have not begun to code them myself yet, only have worked with responsive formats with Wordpress.

  • Navigation menu not showing up

    Hi,
I am creating a site using iWeb and have uploaded it to my web host and all runs fine... except for the navigation menu, which is kinda important. I know i could make my own, but I would like to use the default one anyway.
So everything looks fine in iWeb. Here is a screenshot showing the default navigation menu (I am using the darkroom theme)
But when I publish to my server and view through safari (have also tried Firefox and get the same results), this is what I see where the navigation menu should be:
There is no light grey horizontal box, no writing, just a black dot point. The dark grey on the sides is normal, its not in the iweb screenshot because my window wasn't very wide.
I tried disabling the menu, re-publishing (which removed the dot point), enabling it again and re-publishing but I still get the same issue.
Any ideas on why I can't get the menu??
    Cheers.

I had the same issue.  It's a cache settings problem.  I resolved it this way:
Go to Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network
On that screen under the 'Cached Web Content' section, UNCHECK the 'Override automatic cache management' check box.
Then quit Firefox entirely and restart it.  Should do the trick.
    Peace out

Let me guess : You open the file on the desktop with Chrome?
    Don't.
Webpages are meant to be served thru a server. So publish to the server. Any server. Perhaps the one on your own computer.

  • Tab navigation does not show at all in FP 10 it shows in FP9

    Hi,
I have module that is loaded at runtime,
it has simple tab navigation with 3 children,
in FlashPlaer 9 Debug, tab navigation shows fine, even
thought for some reason it looks like linkbar :)
also numericStepper looks like inputBox and ComboBox has no
arrow, (they all look fine in FB 3.2)
in Flash player 10 tab navigation does not show at all, is
there any obvious thing that I am missing ?
I am guessing something terribly wrong with flex styles, but
I am not overriding any styles,
    my environment :
vindows Vista 64 bit (although I use jvm 32)
project is build with latest flex sdk :flex_sdk_3.3.0.4589
P.S: I cant attach image here, so I will record video
    tomorrow, if that will help.
    thanks in advance

  • Application menu not showing in preference pane

Have brought some games for the iphone and ipod touch but have no application menu not showing in preference pane to upload them to to ipod touch. All software is current both itunes and ipod touch
    Help would be very grateful,

If you go to Preferences, General you should be able to see the "Applications" check box, below "Audiobooks". Check the box, this will show the Applications icon in your library.

  • CLDC emulator is not showing windows mobile emulator as a registered device

    Hi,
I want to run one J2ME application on windows mobile 6 emulator. I have done the setup using CLDC emulation on windows Mobile Emulator.
After doing installation of CLDC on emulator, need to register the emulator IP address in SDK. Done that using device-address.exe . Its done successfully.
Though device manager shows IP as its registered address, but emulator does not show the device emulator in its devices list.
emulator.exe -Xquery ------------> does not show windows mobile emulator it its devices list.
Can anyone please help for this. Without this am not able to run my J2ME application on windows mobile emulator.
FYI: I have installed MS Virtual PC but windows mobile 6 emulator is not binded to Virtual Machine Network Services Driver. Because, I am not getting this in drop-down list of adpaters.
I believe it will not make any effect.
    Please help.

    Hey,
I tried connecting my iPhone to a friends Mac and I wasn't able to see the photos in iPhoto either.
I have solved the problem though, well not me really, I found it in one of the other threads on here about not being able to see the iPhone on iPhoto.
Go through your Camera Roll and get rid of all the pictures in there that weren't taken with the iPhone camera, I had pictures in there that people had sent me via MMS and pictures that I had downloaded from e-mails. I e-mailed myself any important pictures and deleted the rest, leaving just all the photos I had taken with the iPhone camera. Connected to the computer and the iPhone is showing in My Computer again.
    Hope this helps everyone here.
Thanks bkbooth11 I did as you suggested and that fixed the problem. Hopefully they will patch that soon as it is rather inconvenient.

  • While navigating the pages in Menu Not showing correct jspx

    Hi ,
We develop 10 ADF Pages and attached those pages to Menu . Now while going to page A its not showing pagA.jspx in address Bar ( though its showing correct Page ) But when navigating to PageB
its showing PAgeA.jspx in ( Address Bar ) but its showing correct pageB content . Why this behave like this ...??
Edited by: [email protected] on Jul 22, 2009 9:15 AM

This is not an ADF issue - this is a core JSF way of working.
Why would your end user care about the address anyway?
You can set your navigation case to be redirect to get around this.

  • Navigation Menu Not Visible

I just created a website through iweb. After I published it (FTP) the navigation menu suddenly did not show up at all on any of the web pages. All of the pages are there, but there are no borders around the pictures throughout the site, and on a photo album page, the photos wont show up. My hosting company is startlogic.com The site is www.southlandvet.com if you wanna check it out...The navigation is supposed to be at the top right part of the page. The photo page is www.southlandvet.com/Our_Pets.html
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well, I published the site to a folder and published everything in that folder to the server and placed the scripts in a cgi-bin folder, which is what the hosting company told me to do. Is there another way?
Ok, new guess... All the links to the scripts get broken because of placing the scripts into another location... You shouldn't change the structure of the site you should leave it the way iWeb created it... +How could a page ever know where the files are it needs to load properly if they aren't where it was told by iWeb?+ I don't know why they suggested you to do so...
Try to upload it the way iWeb creates it without changing anything...

  • Navigation buttons not showing up on Mail screen. Any suggestions?

This issue started two days ago before which it was working normally.
Basically, now when I click on the mail icon on the main menu, it opens up the mail screen but the navigation buttons on the top (allowing me to go to the parent folder, go to previous/next message etc.) do not show up any more.
The top of the screen now is the To: field. I have tried to scroll up past it but its just a dark grey area.
Any suggestions would be very helpful.
    Thanks

  • IWeb navigation menu not updating in browsers

This is also possibly an airport extreme cache problem, but really unsure...
I've updated my website in iWeb 08 (vers 3.0.4) and published it via ftp.  It all works when I look at it via my iPhone on the 3G network and looks as it should.  When I look at it on any of the 4 laptops at home they all display the same error (whether using safari, firefox or IE and on different platforms but all on the same network) and other than the formatting looking terrible, the main issue is that the navigation menu is displaying as that of an older version of the website.  I simplified the navigation menu about 5 days ago and it is still displaying pages in it that have been renamed, moved or deleted.  I've check the files on the ftp server and they have all been correctly renamed or deleted.  Where are my computers getting this old data from?
I've reset Safari several times, restarted my computers, restarted my airport extreme (as this must have something to do with the problem??) but to no avail.
Any suggestions?  I'd like to view my 'current' website to check for bugs, but get an old version that just looks buggy.  Why can't I get my browsers to display the page correctly.
    Thoughts appreciated!
    The page is at:
    www.thebutlershow.com
I can still see in the nav menu -  Home / About / Review / Company ... etc.
It should show - 'Home / Shows / Company / News & Media ... etc.
    Thanks, Skye

    Fixed...
I connecting a USB mobile internet dongle and turned off airport on my laptop so I could access the pages via a different means.  They came up looking as they should via the mobile network.  I then turned airport back on on that laptop and refreshed - and the page remained as it should have.
Don't know why but this has now fixed the viewing errors on all the other computers in the house.  Fixed one... fixed all.
    Strange.

    Photoshop CC 3D Not working

The 3D menu always shows up, even when I don't meet requirements for 3D. So if you cannot see it in the menu bar,
Photoshop Preferences may have to be reset.
Hold down cmd-opt-shift and start Photoshop, click Yes to delete the settings files when that dialog shows up and let Photoshop continue to load.
If that is not the case, would you please attach a screenshot and point out the trouble spot to me?

  • Spry 2.0 menu not showing in IE8

I have a webpage with a horizontal and vertical Spry 2.0 menu on the page. Both menus work correctly in Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and IE9, but the vertical menu does not show at all in IE8. In addition in IE8 the browser scroll bar disappears when the vertical menu is added.  The test page is http://www.njslom.org/001banner5.html
I am using CS5 and the Spry 2.0 Widget in an html template.
Any help at all would be appreciated.

/* IE6 rules - you can delete these if you do not want to support IE6 */
/* A note about multiple classes in IE6.
    * Some of the rules above use multiple class names on an element for selection, such as "hover" (MenuItemHover) and "has a subMenu" (MenuItemWithSubMenu),
    * giving the selector '.MenuItemWithSubMenu.MenuItemHover'.
    * Unfortunately IE6 does not support using mutiple classnames in a selector for an element. For a selector such as '.foo.bar.baz', IE6 ignores
    * all but the final classname (here, '.baz'), and sets the specificity accordingly, counting just one of those classs as significant. To get around this
    * problem, we use the plugin in SpryMenuBarIEWorkaroundsPlugin.js to generate compound classnames for IE6, such as 'MenuItemWithSubMenuHover'.
    * Since there are a lot of these needed, the plugin does not generate the extra classes for modern browsers, and we use the CSS2 style mutltiple class
    * syntax for that. Since IE6 both applies rules where
    * it should not, and gets the specificity wrong too, we have to order rules carefully, so the rule misapplied in IE6 can be overridden.
    * So, we put the multiple class rule first. IE6 will mistakenly apply this rule.  We follow this with the single-class rule that it would
    * mistakenly override, making sure the  misinterpreted IE6 specificity is the same as the single-class selector, so the latter wins.
    * We then create a copy of the multiple class rule, adding a '.SpryIsIE6' class as context, and making sure the specificity for
    * the selector is high enough to beat the single-class rule in the "both classes match" case. We place the IE6 rule at the end of the
    * css style block to make it easy to delete if you want to drop IE6 support.
    * If you decide you do not need IE6 support, you can get rid of these, as well as the inclusion of the SpryMenuBarIEWorkaroundsPlugin.js script.
    * The 'SpryIsIE6' class is placed on the HTML element by  the script in SpryMenuBarIEWorkaroundsPlugin.js if the browser is Internet Explorer 6. This avoids the necessity of IE conditional comments for these rules.

You can also pass in extra classnames to set your desired top level menu bar layout. Normally, these are set by using a preset.
They only apply to horizontal menu bars:
MenuBarLeftShrink - The menu bar will be horizontally 'shrinkwrapped' to be just large enough to hold its items, and left aligned
MenuBarRightShrink - Just like MenuBarLeftShrink, but right aligned
MenuBarFixedLeft - Fixed at a specified width set in the rule '.MenuBarFixedLeft', and left aligned.
MenuBarFixedCentered -  - Fixed at a specified width set in the rule '.MenuBarFixedCentered',
and centered in its parent container.
MenuBarFullwidth - Grows to fill its parent container width.
In general, all rules specified in this file are prefixed by #MenuPublic1_2 so they only apply to instances of the widget inserted along
with the rules. This permits use of multiple MenuBarBasic widgets on the same page with different layouts. Because of IE6 limitations,
there are a few rules where this was not possible. Those rules are so noted in comments.

/* IE6 rules - you can delete these if you do not want to support IE6 */
/* A note about multiple classes in IE6.
    * Some of the rules above use multiple class names on an element for selection, such as "hover" (MenuItemHover) and "has a subMenu" (MenuItemWithSubMenu),
    * giving the selector '.MenuItemWithSubMenu.MenuItemHover'.

  • LibreOffice text menu not showing up

    Hi everyone,
I've just switched from Fedora to Arch Linux. So far, installation and all went smoothly and it looks very good :-)
However, I'm experiencing a small problem with LibreOffice, as it's not showing any text menu entries:
I've installed both German and English language packs (libreoffice-de 3.4.5-2 and libreoffice-en-US 3.4.5-2) so
my guess would be that it's some kind of locale problem. Unfortunately, I haven't been able find anything on that
particular problem anywhere. I tried resetting the user directory in .libreoffice in my home directory, but the
problem remains. Any hint would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    I'm around this issue too.
My daugther studies chinese and my son prefers english. Each has he(r|s) language, but the all menues are as shown here.
tt-dejavu and artwiz fonts are installed, I'm trying to add some more font, but I really doubt that will solve.
I've seen some forum blaming lib-cairo2 and some relation with gtk2 font setting, but I can't imaging where would be the right point.
    EDIT
I installed the missing fonts and all gone fine. For chinese would be fine some search. In my case I found ttf-arphic fonts
