Navigation to webui application from external Mail
Hi Experts,
I posted the question in Business workflow but no one replied .
We had a requirement to send workitem to external mail(outlook ) and once the workitem is sent to mail ,the user will execute the workitem which will navigate him to the crm webui application.
I found some links in SDN which says that by executing Program SWN_SELSEN the workitem in worklist will be sent
to the external mail id .
I want to know whether we can display the CRM WEBUI application once the user execute the workitem from email.

Can't receive from external mail
I has look through the forum but unable to find a solution to my problem, so I hope someone here can help.
I just upgrade one of our server from Tiger 10.4.11 to Leopard Server 10.5.5, now we only can send and receive inside our lan, but only can send, can't receive from outside our lan.
As far as I can tell all our MX, and PTR are fine and we are not in any of the RBL.
I think the problem might have something to do with NAT, but not sure where to check.

Approval process from external mail
Experts,
I want to create a workflow that should trigger the mail with PO data (Either PDF or any other format) to the external mail. The external mail for example PDF file should have 2 buttons for approve and reject. From the external mail, they should have the flexibility to approve or reject PO. Is there any possibility to do this process.
How the link happend between the action performed from PDF file to SAP. Is there any way to get the indicator(A or R) that happened in PDF to SAP.
Give me some conclussion or any alternative flow on this process.
Thanks.Hi,
trigger the mail with PO data (Either PDF or any other format) to the external mail.
Sending Mail to Outlook : U need the Following things done for this:-
1> Use the Mail Step in the WF and Choose the Receipient as the E-Mail Address and Give the E-Mail Address there.
2> Check the Configurations that need to be done in Transaction SCOT. SMTP Server Settings are done to get the Desired Results.
From the external mail, they should have the flexibility to approve or reject PO.
When the decision is approved, U can Send a mail to the Earlier Approvers Regarding the Status of the Work-Item.

Triggering a workflow on receiving mail from external mail id.
Hi all,
Is it possible to trigger a R/3 custom workflow on receiving an external mail to an SAP inbox.
All suggestions are welcome.
Thanks and Regards,
Anto.Hi,
Fairly simple. You need to implement the interface IFRECEIVE in a business object. Add your code to the Receive method (it has all the necessary parameters defined). In SO28 you can set up inbound distribution for received emails, under New Recipient you can specify that business object - just select "SAP Object Instance".
You can also use inbound processing exits - tx SO50 - which is much the same thing but based on ABAP classes and is a little more work and less workflow-specific. Works as above but use interface IF_INBOUND_EXIT_BCS.
Hope that helps,

Access web dynpro abap application from external portal.
Hi
How can a application made in ABAP be accessed from SAP External Portal.
Like a java web dynpro application could be easily accessed by making a webDynpro Java ivew in portal.
Is their any method to access a ABAP application similarly.
Thanks.Thomas
Here is our scenario
We want to expose an ABAP webdynpro application using ABAP Webdynpro iView in portal to the internet. Does this scenario use the ITS http server / port like URL iview behind the scenes.
Can you please share more info on the above scenario.
Thanks in advance

Transfer applications from external to my new mac
iv removed my old hard drive from my macbook (which i have sold) and am about to buy a new 13"mbp. unfortunately i couldn't buy the new machine before selling the old, so im presented with a problem... i could just install the disk in the new machine (its a 320gb 7200rpm, so in the long-term i'll be doing this in any case), but i'll want iLife 09 on there, and its possible there are system files that are required for the new machine that wont be on my old system (10.5.7, from a 2007 macbook).
The main thing is that i want all my files, and applications and settings, plugins etc on the new mbp, but because i dont have the old laptop i cant use migration assistant. the disk is in a usb enclosure currently.
So, do i install the old disk and then try and update iLife, or will i run into problems? Or, can i transfer my applications and all their settings via some other means? i have a (full!) lacie firewire external which i could perhaps employ.ok... coming at the problem from a slightly different angle - what will happen if i simply install the other drive in the machine? (As i said in the original post, i do want this bigger faster drive in the mbp eventually). Then the OS will be current, but it'll be on iLife 08 and there might be system software missing(!). Will it work or will the laptop explode?
How about this - could i create a new version of the mbp OS from the install disc and put this on the external, then somehow merge over the old one?

How to invoke different WAD Applications from external URLS
Hi
We have developed different applications (app1, app2) in WAD using templates and we'd like the following behavior :
app1 being called from http://www.aaa.com as app1 real url is http://hostname:port/sap/bw/BEx?sap-language=EN&CMD=LDOC&TEMPLATE_ID=XXXX
app2 being called from http://www.bbb.com as app2 real url is http://hostname:port/sap/bw/BEx?sap-language=EN&CMD=LDOC&TEMPLATE_ID=YYYY
www.aaa.com and www.bbb.com point of course to the same IP address in the DNS (same host)
Is there a way to properly configure the ABAP Web App Server to deal with this like Apache does through Virtual Hosts ?
Thanks a lot for your help.In other words, how to develop several applications (BSP, WAD, ...) on the same app server ?
Each app should have its own URL without a "forward slash something" as follow :
app1 => http://www.aaa.com
app2 => http://www.bbb.com
appn => http://www.zzz.com
Apache permits it via name-based virtual hosts. It then allows multiple web sites to share on box and one IP address.
Thanks for your help. -
How to receive mails from External mail ids to SAP SBWP
Dear Experts!!!!!
Gud Evening and Wish you all a HAPPY DIWALI !!!!!!!!
I have requirement like suppose say I have my company mail id for eg: abc<AT>xyz<DOT>com and also have a gmail ID. My login ID in sap is say BASIS. Normally, if I configure SMTP with our exchange server then I can send mails from SAP to my company ID and also gmail ID.
Similarly, I want to know like what needs to be configured for receiving mails in to SAP if I send mails from my compnay ID or gmail ID. To be more precise...my interest is mostly from Gmail i.e., if I send a mail from my Gmail ID, I should be able to see the mail in SBWP of my BASIS login.
Please suggest how this can be acheived.....

Good morning , i have an IPhone 4s 16gb with IOS 7.0.6 and even in setting-mail and calendar i have setup the default account to use for sending mail outside mail app it use ICloud mail account.
if i select Icloud account and then my gmail account sometimes works but after some days it start again to use the other account...i don't know if it is when i power off the IPhone...if i look into settings-mail and calendar account selected is gmail even the account used is the ICloud.
i think is a IOS bug.
please let me know.
Best regardsJun T. wrote:
But there is a (high) possibility that Gmail's server requires authentication (or certification) to connect to it.
I wonder if they're simply silently dropping emails in certain cases. I forgot earlier that I have a Gmail account. If I send an email from the command line on my home computer, which is on Comcast, the mail log shows that I successfully connect to Gmail, the message is sent and accepted by Gmail, but the email never arrives in my inbox. I've tried several times with the same result.
However, emails from a web server from work get through to Gmail without a problem. So I'd bet it's a case of them not delivering mail from Comcast IP addresses.
For grins, I also tried sending to my Yahoo email account from my home computer and their server at least refuses the connection and I get an error message stating that it's because it's a residential IP address.
In this case you need an SMTP client (=a software which directly sends the mail to the Gmail server) which supports authentication.
I think this might also be possible with Postfix by editing the configuration files. I know I had to set up authentication to send emails to my work address directly from my home computers, but I haven't been able to get the same thing to work with Gmail yet. If I get a chance, I'll look into it again later tonight.

Accessing Application from External Web Browser
We are running Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.0.2, Oracle Forms 10.1.2.0.2, and Oracle Database 10.2.0.1. We are using SSL.
Our Application Server, including WebCache is running correctly internally.
What do I need to do to be able to view our application using our registered web address? I have tried everything, but I am missing something or doing something fundamentally wrong. I have been pouring myself over the Oracle Web Cache Administration and Deployment Guide.
I am very confused. Our registered web site and the physical company servers have different web addresses.
Registered: www.xyz.com
Physical Servers housing OAS: www.company.com
Registrant's Setup
We registered our domain at Searchen Networks. At Searchen Networks, I forwarded our domain to:
https://app.xyz.com:4444/forms/frmservlet?config=xyzforms.
Is this correct? Or should I forward to one of the following?
https://app.xyz.com:4444
www.company.com (which is different than the website we registered)
WebCache Setup
I am very confused what to do in WebCache. Do I need to configure a Virtual Host, Name Site Definition, Server Mapping for Unnamed Site, or something else?
I appreciate any help or direction offered.
Thank you,
Mika

Accessing WebDynpro ABAP application from external network
Hi All,
I have developed one application in webdynpro ABAP.
Now my requirement in to access this application through internet.
I dont want to use portal to run application.
Is it possible to access through internet ?You can access the webdynpro application via internet with the help of SAP Web Dispatcher. Basis team will install the web dispatcher and then machine can put into a DMZ area which in turn can be opened to Internet with necessary controls.

Let's see if I can explain this properly. We have an application consisting of a left menu with books and pages. Each page consists of one Struts portlet. In one case we direct the user to an external mail application. This is handled by the Struts action class setting some fields (identifier and a url to return to when closing the external application). Our action class forwards to a jsp page like this (where url, SESSION_KEY and LINKBACK_URL are populated by the action class)
<form action="${url}" name="myForm" METHOD="POST" TARGET="_top">
<INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="i_session" VALUE="<c:out value='${SESSION_KEY}'/>">
<INPUT TYPE="hidden" NAME="linkback" VALUE="<c:out value='${LINKBACK_URL}'/>">
</form>
<script language="javascript">
document.myForm.submit();
</script>
The external application opens up in the same window and when the user closes it you're linked back to our application through the LINKBACK_URL. Now, when I click in the left menu as I did from the start all I see is a blank page (if I click once again it displays correctly) and if I press F5 I'm logged into the external application again so it seems the jsp page with the form is cached. I can in a way understand that it does but I don't want that so are there any way to get rid of this behaviour?
Best Regards

Need info on Standard Web services to pull Order data in CRM from external applications
Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement to pull Order data in CRM from external non-sap application using Web services. Are there any standard SAP provided web services to pull order data based on some input? If yes, can you provide me any kind of documentation related to this?
Appreciate your help on this.
Thanks
