I need to make a pdf form that is fillable and send from ipad to email not tracked just the complete email. Can someone help me.

I have forms that I have created with submit buttons, that are filled out and sent complete to an email box. I would like to do the same only have my form filled out on an ipad and then have the submit button send the completed form the same way.
I don't want to gather the data, since i am doing this for another department. They want to track there own data via the Pdf's they receive. Is this possible?

Adobe Reader for iOS does support a Submit button.
(a) Button action to submit an entire PDF document via email
(b) JavaScript submitForm to Adobe FormsCentral
Do you use the desktop version of Adobe Acrobat to create a PDF form?
For option (a)
Add the "Submit a form" action to your Submit button.
Enter "mailto:" (including a colon) followed by email recipient(s). Please add a comma between two email addresses.
Example: [email protected], [email protected]
Select "PDF The complete document".
This particular type of PDF form will work with Adobe Reader desktop and mobile products (including Adobe Reader for iOS and Android).
In Adobe Reader for iOS, a user can do the following steps to submit the particular type of PDF form.
Fill out the PDF form.
Tap the Submit button in the PDF form.
Select "Share Original Document" or "Share Flattened Copy" from the Share File dialog.
Adobe Reader for iOS will automatically fill in the email address(es) that you specified when you created the PDF form.
Tap the Send button in the upper right corner.
Adobe Reader for iOS will send the PDF form as an email attachment via Apple Mail (the default mail app for iOS).

Have you tried Adobe Reader ? If it is a form created in Adobe Acrobat , then you should be able to fill in that pdf form. If it is XFA (xml based form) then it is not supported by Adobe Reader currently.

Specifiying Language for Document Properties if PDF Form

In order for a pdf to be 508 compliant it's language must be specified. I've created a form and for the life of me can't figure out how to specify the language for this document such that Adobe Reader knows it's english. In a pdf NOT created using lifecyle this would be easy. simply go to file > properties> advanced > Language > english. but in pdf forms that section of the properties is greyed out. I tried adding it to the xml like this:<br /> <text name="Language">English</text> in the <desc> tag. Please if you have ANY suggestions they'd be much appreciated.

I wonder if you have seen the form being filled, or a screen shot, so can confirm that Adobe Reader is the app when it is filled? (And not Adobe Reader Touch or a browser or Microsoft Reader or any other app). The reason for asking is that many users (not unreasonably but wrongly) assume that once Adobe Reader is installed it is bound to be used.

Need to fill out PDF forms

Does anyone have a good app for filling out PDF forms? I used Acrobat Pro in Windows, but then my employer supplied it for me. I'm not going to pay $300 to fill out PDF forms. I tried it in Preview, as people say that works, but I can't get it to work. The forms I have to fill out that are supplied by my employer won't accept editing in Preview. They work fine in Acrobat Pro in Windows. I also tried formulate.pro, but I couldn't save the form back to PDF, only to a propietary format. Not useful for sharing these forms with colleagues. Is there a solution to this problem? Thanks.

I know about that. Unfortunately, the form can no longer be modified once you do that. (According to others who have tried it.) I know it's a pretty nit-picky list of requirements I have, but I work in a very Windows-centric, Mac-hostile workplace (even though a sizeable minority of people here use Macs). I've been using a Mac since 2004, and it's been a battle to solve one problem after another: web pages that only render "properly" in IE, web applications that only work "properly" in IE, a voice messaging system that is Mac-hostile, and most recently this business with the forms. My solution has usually been "if it doesn't work in Firefox or Safari, then it doesn't work." Unfortunately, I don't have that option with these forms. More and more of what I have to do must be done either online or at least digitally, and yet we are generating more paper than ever! And no one who is responsible for creating/purchasing the apps to do all these things seems even to know about the existence of any OS other than Windows. Sorry about the rant, but that is the world at Coastal Carolina University!

Need help filling out pdf forms on iPad

Adobe Reader (11.0.1) on my iPad2 (iOS 6.1.3) is not letting me fill out a form (just a bunch of text fields) that was created with Acrobat 8 Pro/LiveCycle. The form can be filled out fine with Reader 11.x on my WinXP desktop though. Any ideas?

No, you'll be just the same.
You need to not use LiveCycle Designer, but make the form in Adobe Acrobat. Everything you know about making forms in LiveCycle Designer will not help you at all.
These are a different kind of form, made differently, and with different features (e.g. they are always static in layout).
Also, you start with an existing PDF (not a form) for all the background and fixed text, then just add fields.
There are other things to do like avoid JavaScript. Start with very simple forms and test features, there doesn't seem to be a comprehensive list.

Can some one provide me the impact analysis document which shows if they is any risk factors involved if we migrate from 10g to 11g.

Need help with saving pdf form

I created a quote form for our sales people to fill out and email to their customers. I can't figure out how to set it up so that after they fill out the form it can be saved with the field locked so they cant be changed. Is that even a possibility? I've been working on this for 2 days and just keep going in circles with it.

You can set up the form so that the fields get set to read-only after the salesman completes the form but before sending it out. This idea is discussed in this topic: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3314067#3314067

PDF Form in Particular Font 2

I need to create a PDF-form with a particular font. I already embedded the font when exporting from InDesign and set the "Subset fonts..." to 0% as advised to in this link:

However when I try to choose the specific font (Melior), I get this error-message:
"The selected font has a custom encoding and cannot be embedded ind the PDF-file because of licensing restrictions. (...)
To avoid this situation, use a font that can be embedded in the PDF file, a font that does not have a custom encoding or a font that is known to be on all systems where the PDF file will be viewed."
What can I do?

Thank you, that was what I needed.
So now I know the test PDF document use only TrueType fonts. That means its content should be indexable for TREX but it isn't. There is just message "No document excerpt available" for this document in search results.
Could someone look at the document and try to index it? It can be downloaded from http://www.volny.cz/kabrtz/TREX/indexing_test.pdf
