Need FMS Guru! to Read substitution.xml from Server Side Apps

I know how to read XML file from HTTP using XML.load(url),
but there are some config node i need to read from substitution.xml
from conf folder. Seems like XML.load doesn't allow accessing
Physical path from "D:\Program Files\Adobe\Flash Media Server
3\conf" - I am new in FMS Development, I dont know how to access
them from Server side. Help pls.

Thanks by your help Shanu.
Nevertheless, finally I tryed the easiest way (pass the parameter with 'GET'). Moreover I found why my code wasn't working. It was a fool thing. I though PDA connect throught a proxy, but it wasn't true. Whatever.
Regards.

  • Error while reading a file from server

    Mine is 9i database and 11.5.10.2 oracle apps server
    I am trying to read PDF file from server, I used the below code
    l_bfile:=bfilename('\u05\app\applmgr\11i\oraclecomn\admin\out\jamuna_server','o7742576.out');
    if DBMS_LOB.FILEEXISTS(l_bfile) = 1 then
    dbms_output.put_line( 'Exists!');
    dbms_output.put_line(dbms_lob.getlength(l_bfile));
    else
    dbms_output.put_line( 'Not Exists!');
    end if;
    i used forward slashes (/) instead of backward slashes (\) too and i also made dbms_output.put_line(to_char(dbms_lob.getlength(l_bfile)));
    while using dbms_log package , i got the below error .I am bit worried since I have created directory and gave sufficicent priviliges too.

    I am sure bfilename('\u05\app\applmgr\11i\oraclecomn\admin\out\jamuna_server','o7742576.out') is give BFILE which is empty.
    Can you please suggest me what I can do to move further? what kind of priviliges it requires to point and read the file from server?
    Please help me in this.

    I suspect you are not using a directory object is the problem.

  • Copy a .swf file from server side to client using signed applet

    Hello All,
    I already have my applet signed and its working pretty well. However I want to know how can I import a .swf file into clients machine. The .swf file initially is on server side, my applet checks whether this .swf file exists already on client machine. If not it copies it to his machine.
    I know how to chk if the file already exits on client machine but I am not sure how to copy this .swf file to his machine if its missing.
    May be I need to set some input buffers from server side and then copy them to his machine.
    Can some one throw some light on this issue ??

    Hello to all Java Code Masters out thr,
    I am trying to copy a .swf file from server side to client side, however I am unsuccessful in writing the correct data. By correct data I mean that , the data does gets saved on the client side in the .swf file, and the size of the .swf file on client side is as expected, but some how I don't know why the data is not the same as expected.
    I tried opening up both the swf file, one which is on server side and the other which is on client side. And both looked different in the notepad.
    When I opens up the client side .swf file on browser it shows nothing while the .swf file on server side worked fine.
    Here is a snap shot of the two .swf files when opened in notepad:

And System.out.println does print the write data on the java console. However I dont know out of what reason the data doesnt get written correctly on the client's computer.

  • From server-side application, launch client-side file?

    Are either of these possible?
    From a word document hosted by terminal server and accessed via SGD: user clicks on a hyperlink to C:\file.doc and it launches that file on the user's computer using that user's copy of MS word (rather than on the app server)?
    From a document management system hosted by terminal server and accessed via SGD: The system stores the file path of documents on the user's local area network. When the user wants to launch a file, he clicks on a button and that launches the file on his local area network using his local copy of MS word (just a thought: would involve passing the path from the app server to SGD server then to the local computer. Maybe via the tcc client?)
    Am thinking of several applications of this kind of thing, these are just 2 examples. Would really help us build server-side apps that run as if they are local (and would definitely up our license count of SGD). Thank you

  • How to read an XML from a servlet?

    Hi,
    I'm just starting programming and now I have a problem I can't solve. I hope someone can help me.</p>
    On the client side I have a xml report and a script wich sends to the server the information I've got from the report. In this case, the 'Poliza' value.
    On the server-side I have a servlet. I try to get the parameters (from the URL or from the XML), but I don't have any response on the client side. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I can't find the solution for solving it.
    I suppose there are two ways of solving the problem.
    - Make an http connetion and send just the parametes on the URL? Does anyone know how to make it?
    - Reading the XML on the servlet and extract the parameters the script sent. Does anyone know how to read it?
    Thank you in advance

  • Read web.xml from a webservice method

    Hi,
    How can i read web.xml parameters inside a webservice method

    Huh?
    What is the use case for that? A web service method may need parameters, but you should not read them from the web.xml file. Instead you can use a method in a bead which reads the parameters and pass them to the web service method.

  • Need of XI to send an XML from one SAP system to another SAP system

    Dear colleagues,
    I work in the SRM solution.
    In SRM there is a Purchaser and Supplier scenario called Supplier Self Services.
    The Purchaser creates a Purchase order and sends it to the supplier in form of an XML file.
    The purchaser system and supplier system are the same SAP system but different clients.
    Example: Purchaser client is 300 and Supplier client is 330 and both of them are on the same system.
    I have a very basic question.
    Currently we have the XI system which acts as an interface to send the Purchaser PO XML to the Supplier as XML.
    a)My question is in case the XML structure is identical across both the clients, then what is the need of XI system?
    b) Is it not possible to send XML from one client to another without an XI system? there si no need of any message mapping required since I am expecting the same XML structure in both clients.
    Please clarify the need of XI system in the following scenario. Is it not possible without XI?
    Many thanks.
    Best regards,
    Srivatsa

    Hi Srivatsa,
        YOu can send the XML message from one sap system to another sap system even without an XI system in between.
    But the use of SAP XI (Or any other middleware) is recommended because, it gives you the following advantages.
    1) Better monitoring and alerting mechanism. XI provides you robust set of tools that let you monitor the status of the messages that are exchanged.
    2) Direct communication between systems is referred to as Point to Point communication, which has its own disadvantages as against Hub and SPoke model (Message exchange using XI).
    3) Message delivery is guaranteed if you have XI in between.
    If the target system is down, the sender sap system will not try multiple times to post the message.
    But if you use XI, it can be configured to send the message multiple times, till it succeeds.

  • Need help with EXS24 "read velocity range from file name"

    I am trying to import 127 drum samples to a single key using the option shown here. The option says "Map to key dropped on and read velocity range from file name". I can find no documentation in the manuals on how to do this. What is the syntax required in the file name to make this work? I need to do several of these imports. The capability is cleary there, but I need help on how the file name should be formatted. My thanks to anyone who can help.

    Hi
    Not a direct answer to your question, but if you are doing a lot of sample mapping etc, you may want to check out Redmatica's KeyMap Pro or the simpler Keymap 1:

  • How to export XML from server to local machine

    Hi all
    i want to export some XML files from instance to my local machine.right now i m i have Ftpied the files from server to to my local machine but ,but it is not coming with personalization .
    thanx in advance
    Pratap

    Hi Paratap,
    If you want to see source of the page use
    call jdr_utils.printDocument('/oracle/apps/pos/orders/webui/PosVpoMainPG');
    If you want to see the personalization for the source use
    call jdr_utils.printDocument('/oracle/apps/pos/orders/webui/customizations/site/0/PosVpoMainPG');
    I have given these examples for site level personalization, depanding upon the personalization level the path may vary.
    You can also export the files using XMLExporter by giving appropriate path.
    You can FTP all other source files from the server.

  • Reading each keystroke from a console app?

    I'm using Sun JDK 1.3.0_02 on RedHat Linux 7.1.
    I've written a console application (no GUI, no Swing), from which I need to read each keystroke from the keyboard as it is typed.
    My loop basically waits (blocks) on System.in.read(), and disposes of each byte as it is read.
    Unfortunately, the way the app executes, my Java app doesn't seem to be given any keyboard input until the user presses ENTER. In addition, each keystroke is echoed to the console display, which I don't want.
    Can anyone point me in the right direction to solve this? I can't use any GUI components as this needs to be a console app.
    Thank you,
    Bryan

    This can be fixed with a tiny JNI program. As long as the 'c' call getch() works the same on all platforms:
    // The Java class
    import java.io.*;
    public class ConsoleInputStream extends InputStream
        public native int read();
        static
            System.loadLibrary("ConsoleInputStream");
    // The JNI header
    /* DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE - it is machine generated */
    #include <jni.h>
    /* Header for class ConsoleInputStream */
    #ifndef _Included_ConsoleInputStream
    #define _Included_ConsoleInputStream
    #ifdef __cplusplus
    extern "C" {
    #endif
    #undef ConsoleInputStream_SKIP_BUFFER_SIZE
    #define ConsoleInputStream_SKIP_BUFFER_SIZE 2048L
    /* Inaccessible static: skipBuffer */
    * Class:     ConsoleInputStream
    * Method:    read
    * Signature: ()I
    JNIEXPORT jint JNICALL Java_ConsoleInputStream_read
      (JNIEnv *, jobject);
    #ifdef __cplusplus
    #endif
    #endif
    // The JNI 'C' code
    #include "..\classes\generated source\consoleInputStream.h"
    #include "conio.h"
    JNIEXPORT jint JNICALL Java_ConsoleInputStream_read(JNIEnv * env, jobject obj)
        return getch();
    // The test program
    public class Console
        public static void main(String[] args)
            try
                System.setIn(new ConsoleInputStream());
                while(true)
                    int ch=System.in.read();
                    if(ch=='\r')
                        break;
                    else
                        System.out.print((char)ch);
            catch(Exception ex)
                ex.printStackTrace();
    // the build script (Windows)
    cl -I\j2sdk1.4.0\include -I\j2sdk1.4.0\include\win32 ConsoleInputStream.cpp /MD /LD user32.lib /link/out:..\classes\ConsoleInputStream.dllHope this helps :)
