Need help badly! In Africa and need to know...
if I can update, change or add to my iWeb from my laptop if I built the site on my home system. I'm shooting a documentary on my in-laws that are adopting two children from Africa. We just landed in Addis Ababa and I would like to continue the "blogg" page on my iWeb site (www.themarkjacobs.com). I have copied the site folder from my iDisk and have tried every combination and nothing seems to work. Can I edit, update, change or add via my mac book pro while on the road??? Someone help! The last thing I want to do is rebuild my site from Africa.
Thanks in advance!
You are out of luck unless you brought a copy of the Domain file with you, or can get one sent to you.

HELP! MBP freezing and i dont know why!
Hey there,
I bought this macbook pro a few years ago and all has seemed to be fine with it, just recently it's started crashing and freezing and im not sure why, i cant seem to access anything to back up my data or re-install leopard... i really cant afford right now to buy a new lappy or pay the genius bar to repair it...
anyone have any ideas? heres a link to the photo of the screen, here it does it during startup, but sometimes you can get into the lappy, but then a couple minutes later chokes. ive tried a couple of things like pressing command option P+R and etc, cant seem to get into apple hardware test with D though
im running, leopard 10.6.7, 2.2 ghz core 2 duo, GEFORCE 8600M GT, 2 GB RAM

I need help badly with my ibook and palm pilot
Good day. I recently fixed my ibook and my palm to sync with each other. I configured my palm to sync with entourage. I then realized that it would be much better that if I sync my palm pilot with the palm desktop. Gow do I now reverse this? How do i cancel entourage to sync with my pal pilot. please advise. need help badly on this. thanks... i just like to feep my files organized and i find it difficult using entourage...my palm pilot is a palm TX...
I also have a Palm handheld. I use iCal and Address Book more than Entourage. This is what I did:
At first, I tried to adapt to Palm Desktop. I didn't like it, so I looked for the *iSync Conduit*. I found it and installed it. Then, I ignored the Palm desktop software (except the HotSync utility) and have used iSync with iCal and Address Book since.
I know that doesn't answer the question about switching from Entourage, but Desktop isn't that great either. iSync is what I recommend.

Hello, can someone guide me on how to purchase ExportPDF please? i'm currently residing in South East Asia and it doesn't allow me to purchase the software that i need for my work. Please guide me. i need help badly.
Hi watanabei,
Please see Countries where ExportPDF is available for purchase. - Adobe Community. It's necessary to have a credit card billing address in one of the countries listed in this document. If ExportPDF is unavailable to you, you may want to consider an Acrobat subscription, which would also allow you to convert PDF files to Word and other format. For more information, see www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

Need help with inner join and distinct rows
Hey Guys,
i have
1) BaseEnv Table
2) Link Table
3) BaseData Table
Link table has three columns Id,BaseEnvId,BaseDataId
the BaseEnvID is unique in the table where as BaseDataId can be repeated i.e multile rows of BaseEnv Table can point to same BaseData table row
Now i want to do BaseEnvTable inner join Link Table inner join BaseData Table and select 5 columsn ; Name,SyncName,Version,PPO,DOM from the BaseData table.. the problem is that after i do the inner join I get duplciate records..
i want to eliminate the duplicate records , can any one help me herePlease post DDL, so that people do not have to guess what the keys, constraints, Declarative Referential Integrity, data types, etc. in your schema are. Learn how to follow ISO-11179 data element naming conventions and formatting rules. Temporal data should
use ISO-8601 formats. Code should be in Standard SQL as much as possible and not local dialect.
This is minimal polite behavior on SQL forums. Now we have to guess and type, guess and type, etc. because of your bad manners.
CREATE TABLE Base_Env
(base_env_id CHAR(10) NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY,
Think about the name Base_Data; do you have lots of tables without data? Silly, unh?
CREATE TABLE Base_Data
(base_data_id CHAR(10) NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY,
Your Links table is wrong in concept and implementation. The term “link” refers to a pointer chain structure used in network databases and makes no sense in RDBMS. There is no generic, magic, universal “id” in RDBMS! People that do this are called “id-iots”
in SQL slang.
We can model a particular relationship in a table by referencing the keys in other tables. But we need to know if the relationship is 1:1, 1:m, or n:m. This is the membership of the relationship. Your narrative implies this:
CREATE TABLE Links
(base_env_id CHAR(10) NOT NULL UNIQUE
REFERENCES Base_Env (base_env_id),
base_data_id CHAR(10) NOT NULL
REFERENCES Base_Data (base_data_id));
>> The base_env_id is unique in the table where as base_data_id can be repeated I.e multiple rows of Base_Env Table can point [sic] to same Base_Data table row. <<
Again, RDBMS has no pointers! We have referenced an referencing tables. This is a fundamental concept.
That narrative you posted has no ON clauses! And the narrative is also wrong. There is no generic “name”, etc. What tables were used in your non-query? Replace the ?? in this skeleton:
SELECT ??.something_name, ??.sync_name, ??.something_version,
??.ppo, ??.dom
FROM Base_Env AS E, Links AS L, Base_Data AS D
WHERE ?????????;
>> I want to eliminate the duplicate records [sic], can any one help me here?<<
Where is the sample data? Where is the results? Please read a book on RDBMS so you can post correct SQL and try again.

Folks, I'm in a world-class bind and need some help badly. I just lost two month of work! It was all written in java 1.6.
The only thing I have left is the jar file.
I've tried a number of decompilers. The one that does the best job is jad. However, considering the sheer volume of code (and the mistakes made by jad), the results are pretty discouraging.
When I decompile, jad throws this error:
The class file version is 50.0 (only 45.3, 46.0 and 47.0 are supported)
I've googled like crazy looking for a decompiler that will handle version 50 class files, but I'm not coming up with anything. Of course, I'd rather have something for free, but I'm willing to fork out some cash on this one if necessary because I really do not have time to re-reconstruct jad's work.
Have you guys had any success decompiling version 50 class files?Probably too late, but how did you delete the code, and what platform are you using? I'd be looking into recovering the lost data before I flailed around trying to decompile Java bytecode.
That said, if you've been using the machine in question since the accident, there's not much hope. All I can do is point you to Subversion and wish you better luck next time.
At least with Java you only have to decompile/rewrite the classes that you hadn't finished; the others will be perfectly usable as .class files.
(Edit:) Incidentally, there's a JAD plugin for Eclipse that might be useful to you when trying to recreate or integrate with these classes. -

and I need to work on music not only in time but the battery after that.
I ask for help pleaseThanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. It's taken me this long to even reach out for the simple fact I HATE being a complainer but this is just horrible.
Do you have an iPad 3 as well? And is yours not experiencing any issues close to mine?

I have a 3g iPhone and I need to know how to delete old photos. Need to free up space and there is no clear way to delete these photos!! Can someone please let me know how to get rid of these pictures!!!! Help!!!
There are a number of ways to delete pictures from the Camera Roll. One is to open Camera Roll in the thumbnail view, tap the arrow button (top right), tap all the pictures you want to delete, tap the Delete button ant the bottom. Photo Library pictures are deleted by unchecking Sync Photos on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings, followed by syncing your phone.

Need help with Airport Express and so on.
Ok so my main problem before getting into what I need help with here is that our MacBooks and now my iPhone 6 plus isn't staying online. Keep getting booted off and then I either have to select the network again or it will eventually go back on. If anyone has a solution or so please feel free to answer that as well. I'm running on Roadrunner with a Netgear 600 wireless router and a motorola modem. Both of which I'll leave the link to below for a better look.
My Main Question: So I'm looking at a new wireless router mainly and possibly a new modem. I know Apple products are trustworthy but how good is the Airport Express and other Airport products. Also what is the Maximum speed and Maximum data speed for the cheapest express station and if anyone knows the speeds of the other devices it would be greatly appreciated.DSL Router to Netgear 5-port Switch and I used the switch to connect to Airport Extreme, TV, Blue-Ray DVD player and DirecTV Receiver.
The AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) is a router so it will do what you need.
You need to reconfigure your setup. Connect the WAN port of the AEBS to the DSL router. Then connect the Netgear switch to one of the LAN ports on the AEBS. The AEBS will properly share the connection. -
Hi: I'm analyzing this STATSPACK report: it is "volume test" on our UAT server, so most input is from 'bind variables'. Our shared pool is well utilized in oracle. Oracle redo logs is not appropriately configured on this server, as in 'Top 5 wait events' there are 2 for redos.
I need to know what else information can be dig-out from 'foreground wait events' & 'background wait events', and what can assist us to better understanding, in combination of 'Top 5 wait event's, that how the server/test went? it could be overwelming No. of wait events, so appreciate any helpful diagnostic or analysis. Database is oracle 11.2.0.4 upgraded from 11.2.0.3, on IBM AIX power system 64bit, level 6.x

thank you very much!Hi: just know it now: it is a large amount of 'concurrent transaction' designed in this "Volume Test" - to simulate large incoming transaction volme, so I guess wait in eq:TX - row is expected.
The fact: (1) redo logs at uat server is known to not well-tune for configurations (2) volume test slow 5%, however data amount in its test is kept the same by each time import production data, by the team. So why it slowed 5% this year?

C Apple, i need to know few things, first of all i shall tell my scenario. I got an iphone 3gs from my uncle in US..after long waiting. I m from south india, living at God's country called Kerala k. well , in that iphone it showing activation screen and trying to activate. not more than that..plz help!
means.. in simple words, it is trying to activate and all( searching wifi,, taking few minutes..again searching...if it couldnt find any wifi - telling .. try connect using itunes an all)...well any way. finally I try connect to a wifi network, with full speed...3mbps..from Ravi's internet cafe in downtown.
All after Im getting the below message from that white candy box!( thats all I can use now, because, in my dreams iPhone is something great, that mankind ever seen....but this really disappointed me......im simpling blinking!!(same with itunes too)
""Your iphone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable. try connecting your iphone to itunes to activate it, or try again in a couple of minutes.
If this problem persists, contact apple support at apple.com/support""
EVERYDAY .EVERTIME.. I C this message and sleep....no use.....and i use to charge that 'white candy box' to c this message!
I try searching internet and all for solutn...but no one knw about it..but there are...some one me abt method called jailbreaking ..rednw..white snw ..ultrasnw and all...I dnt knw why it is so complicated to troublesht...apple is suppose to be simple and friendly.
C why u manufacturing these stuffz like this, if does'nt serve the any of its purpose ....or useable to any of its features atleast....C i wont be that disapppointed, if u put an option to playbck music or video during activation and all...
If you are responsible for manfacturing such unuseable thing, then its ur responsible to destroy it too.....
anyway now everyone knws that ..I have an apple iphone with me, but that doest make me proud at all...
Finally I have only few questions to ask...
1 will it work with my vodafone sim in kerala?
2 is any way , i can hear any music out frm it?
3 will i become a proud iPhone user?
I am already fedup with asking questions..begging for an solution.....
I hope so you can help to figure it out, without any complications....thank u!It was not legitimately unlocked by the carrier it was originally locked to. ONLY the carrier it is locked to can authorize unlocking it.
In order to allow it to be used on a different carrier, the phone was hacked or jailbroken. An unauthorized modification was made to the phone. That modification has damaged the phone. You can not get support for it here or from Apple. -
so i droped my mom's ipad on accedent while walking inside helping carry bags inside... and at fist no one really thought anything of it but we got inside and my stepdad went to check something on it and was like um... something wrong and i guess the fall put it into shock or something but we held down the 2 buttons and it light up but it was black and just with the back light on. And it still wont work so im not sure what to do... I know where the slide to turn it on is so i did that and it made the click noise to signal it was on and i pushed where an app would be and it went to it and made the music to the app... so it works but for some reason the screen is being all stupid... I really need to know if there is a way to fix the screen because if theres not im in a ton of trouble... please help!!!!
I doubt there is you dropped it and broken the screen
try holding the top button and the round button at bottom of screen
hold both until maybe an Apple logo appears if nothing after 20 secs
the iPad is toast
It can be exchanged at an apple store for around $249 to $219 depending on model
Apple do not do repairs
I would own up now before it gets more complicated
