Need help reinstalling Windows 7 home premium on HP G62-435DX

My internal hard disk crashed and I followed advice from this forum to use Ubuntu (using live disc from CD ROM drive) to recover data and save to external hard drive. Next, I replaced the internal hard drive with a 500GB internal hard drive. I figured out how to partition the new internal hard drive and get Ubuntu to acknowledge it.
Now, I'm trying to figure out how to reinstall my Windows 7 Home Premium operating system so I can try to get back to normal. However, I cannot figure out how to download Windows 7 to my hard drive using my product key that came with my machine when I bought it. All the download options appear to require you to buy/request Windows 7 recovery discs to run and install on the machine (since I didn't create these prior to my hard disk failing).
Is this really the only way I can use my product key to reinstall Windows 7 to my machine? Also, I cannot figure out how to download the OS from Windows 7 ISO downloads (via Digital River) to my internal hard drive - seems I can only do this by downloading and burning to CDs (which I don't believe I have the right kind - but obviously am happy to buy if it's the best/fastest option). It seems I have very limited options since I had to remove my internal hard drive, which then eliminated Windows 7 from my machine.
Based on these details - I ultimately want to determine the fastest, most efficient way to get Windows 7 OS back on my machine. I'd prefer to download it, but am hamstrung by having to run Ubuntu from a Live CD. Thanks for your help!

Here are the specs for your HP G62-435DX Notebook Computer. Here is the HP Software and Driver Downloads page if you wish to order the HP Recovery Discs and have them mailed to you. If you wish to download Windows 7 and use the Windows product key on the bottom of your computer, please see How to Install Windows 7 Without the Disc for instructions on downloading, creating the installation media (DVD or USB), and installing Windows. You will need a funtional computer with DVD burning software capable of burning the ISO to disc.

I have a Lenovo U410 with a 32GB SSD and a 750GB HDD that are treated as one drive. The previous owner reformatted the entire drive, which erased the recovery partition. Thus, I can'tmake a recovery disc or USB stick (the recovery partition would have to be intact for that to work anyway) and can't reinstall Windows 8.
Can anyone confirm that the recovery media I'd order from Lenovo support would be able to reinstall Windows 8? I'm afraid that they would send me a disc that needs the recovery partition to work.

You can give them (Lenovo support) a call and ask about it.
I did, they didn't know if it would work.

Please provide the manufacturer and model of your pc.
It is possible you have a hidden recovery partition on your hard drive which may be used instead of a recovery disk to restore your system (and Windows) to factory defaults.
Recovery procedures vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.
You should also search for any recovery disk/s that were supplied with your pc. Manufacturers invariably charge a significant fee to supply replacements.
If you decide to use borrowed/downloaded media to reinstall Windows on an OEM pc, the process may not be straightforward. Without some experience and patience you may end up with no other option than to pay a professional to finish the job.
Microsoft does not publicly provide download links for Windows. While you may stumble upon an official download source, beware that many unofficial sources will come pre-loaded with viruses, trojans etc.

Need Help with Windows 7 Certifications Manager - Can't log on easily

I have to do a complete restore of my 7 Windows Home Premium OS. I downloaded all of the drivers, got everything up and running, but now whenever I use Firefox, the only browser I utilize, I always get the pop-up caution box that states "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?" I looked at where the default was set for that message, and it is set according to Windows' recommendations. Even though I have good virus protection (the complete Avast version), I am not comfortable with the thought of disabling the feature completely.
I have no experience with certificates, but with the use of Windows Help, I was able to get to the program, but I found NO program with mozilla in the string.
I think the problem is with a certification, but I have never had this problem before and would very much appreciate any assistance!

OK. That means the default display lange of the OS is Thai. That is what was purchased.
You can try downloading and using the language appropriate LIPS (language interface package software) from Microsoft to change the display language.

Your computer comes with Win 8 pre-installed but one of the steps to install/run Windows 8.1 is having updated drivers for Windows 8.1
Please, go to Control Panel -> System (or Start -> type winver and open) and verify what is your current version - if it is Windows 8 or 8.1
Windows 8 is version 6.2.x
Windows 8.1 is version 6.3.x
If Windows 8 in place, then , please read this article and enroll in the steps:

I need to reinstall Windows 7 on Satellite C655. The laptop came with 5 discs, 3 of which I don't know what are for.There are three named Toshiba 1, Toshiba 2, Toshiba 3. Then another named Windows Recovery + (then weirdscribbling) Environment, and the other Toshiba apps and drivers. Is the Windows 7 on one of these? or do I have tobuy that with my own money?

I have a computer for a customer, and I need to reinstall Windows. They had a failing hard drive so I put a new hard drive in. They don't have any recovery disks and the recovery partition is corrupted. How do I go about getting Windows reinstalled.

if he/she has valid warranty, ask lenovo to change the hdd for free. they'll also install operation system, too.
even if you have recovery disks, the hard disk has the same volume size to use recovery disks via one key recover.
so, either or you need to contact lenovo support, ship it back.

I don't have my purchase confirmation emal anymore, i tried to redownload windows 8 or 8.1 to create a bootable Flash Drive to install from, but my current product key didn't let me!
So i figured that i need the Windows 8 product key from which i upgraded to 8.1 and got a new key, to redownload Windows 8 and then upgrade to Windows 8.1!

That is the problem, i do not have anything there but red text saying "You haven‘t purchased any downloads yet."
Yet, i can find and see my purchase of Windows 8 with my Bank in the transaction section.
I have even requested a physical CD/DVD which i have gotten, a blue paper flip-case with 32bit in on side and a 64bit in the other.

I have 610 1100me system loaded with Windows Home Premium 64 bit. We bought it from Dubai and is in use in Pakistan. It started giving problems after few weeks of use. Its' hard disk makes noise and sometimes, system could not find boot disk. Most of the times blue screen of death and hanging issues. Any idea about this issue and how to fix it? My observation is that the culprit is hard disk!
Also, can I change its OS to Windows 7 Pro or ultimate (32 or 64 bit)? Where can I find all drivers for Pro or Ultimate?

Nearly nothing change interms of drivers required for Windows 7 (HP, Pro, Ultimate) unless you switch from 64 to 32 bit. You can reuse your current HP 64 bit drivers for 64 bit W7 Pro or Ultimate.
