Need help with passwords

I want to disable passwords on my macbook. Every time I install, download, or change something my computer always asks for a password which I left as blank. How do I make it so that it does not even ask for a password?

This is a very bad idea. If it's possible, don't do it.

I have tried to reset my password and I do not recieve the email for this reset. I have had an issue with verifiying my account also as the email for the verification does not get sent to my account either. This has been going on for quite sometime. I have call support and they were of no help. I just want your systems to see my email address so I can log in.

Need help with Password

Hi All I hope you can help me with a big password problem. I have a wireless network at home with two wireless computers on it and a hardwired unit. I use the Linksys wireless router WRT54GS. I want to install a third wireless computer on this network, but I cannot remember my network password to enable access for this computer. is there any way to gain access to the uncoded version of my password to enable me to put it into the new unit? If this will not be possible, can I uninstall my entire network and install it new again, with a new password, etc. what other options do I have to enable the new computer to work on this network? Which password did you forget? Your router login password, or your encryption password?
If you forgot your router login password, try "admin" (with no quotes). If you cannot login to your router, the only solution is to reset your router to factory defaults (using the reset button), (then "admin" should work), then setup the router again from scratch.
If you forgot your encyption password, you are in luck. Login to your router, then go the the "Wireless" tab, "Wireless Security" subtab. Your encryption key should be listed on this page, or someplace nearby.

Need help with password for signature with Adobe Acrobat X Pro

Signature password is invalid in the PDF but when I use the same password to access the Adobe Webpage, it works perfectly. Where is the disconnect and how do I create a situation where the signature on the pdf recognizes my password?

Need help with password file

I created an oracle 8.0.6 database on win 2000 server. Everything is working fine.
Next, i downloaded production server data on this database. I can't login to sys,system or Internal.
Please suggest what to do.
1)If i Recreate password file, then do i need to stop the oracle services b4 creating password file.

What you mean OLD? Did there any other instance? Anyway each instance has its own password file, in Windows it must be in the $ORACLE_HOME/database directory named orapw<SID>.ora.
Check remote_login_passwordfile parameter. What error is generated when you try to connect. Connect to the system as the user who installed the oracle software. You can recreate password file
on running instance.

iChat (it would help to know which version) can accept Apple IDs as valid AIM Screen Names.
However if you have iChat 5 or earlier you cannot use ones ending in @me.com or @icloud.com issued by iCloud. (they can be used in iChat 6 or Messages as these versions make a double login to AIM and Apple to allow the use of the password).
In addition if you are using an Apple ID for an AIM Screen Name the password still needs to keep to the 16 character limit that AIM has.
AN @mac.com name can be used on any version of iChat (Until the 30th June 2014)
As it does not need a double check with Apple you can use it to log in to the AIM Web pages
Login here with an AIM Name registered at AIM or and @mac.com name and see if you get any suspended account messages.
Sometimes account can be suspended. Usually because something has triggered the "Unusual Activity" item.
About a year ago many @mac.com users that travelled out of their own country found themselves suspended when they got home.
If the Name checks out of if an Apple ID the password in known to be 16 characters or Less then do this:-
In Lion upwards open a Finder Window and use the Go Menu whilst holding down the ALT key.
Select the Library that appears in the menu list.
Navigate to Preferences.
(If you have version earlier than Lion the just navigate to ~/Library/Preferences (that's the Library in you Home - Little House icon - folder)
Fnd com.apple.ichat.aim.plist (even if you are using Messages)
Drag the file to the Trash and Restart the app.

As your notebook is a business class machine, security is more stringent - the password is stored in non-volatile memory and there are no 'backdoor' passwords. Your best option would be to contact HP regarding this.

Need help with boot up password

Hi I need help with my IBM G41 think pad I when to sleep one night and I put some papers on the keys then close the lid with the papers in between on top of the keys now I get need a password when I started my PC can some some help me with this . Or is there any one whom had this some problem . I see a lock on the screen .

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but why don't you have the password already? did the computer just randomly lock you out of it? If that is the case, that would be really strange. If there is no bios password on the computer, you should be able to reset the password in the bios.

I am trying to connect my iPhone with my wireless router and looks to be rejecting the password I have saved for my password for my rounter. I tried emailing for it and the support page for this is not recognizing what I think would have been the email I had at the time it was set up--we are currently not using that email address--and tried by current internet email and it's rejecting that too. It looks like I cannot install anything anymore. Everytime I try to install a new software, I simply get stuck during the installation type process. I put in my password, it does accept it, but it does not go any further.
I tried to reset the password, put no password, repair the permissions, the disk but nothing will do. I nearly got stuck with the log in screen but finally succeeded in disabling it.
So I thought I might try to create a new account but I cannot click the lock to make changes. It simply refuses to react.
I am now thinking about using the migration assistant to save all my settings, data and so fourth, but again I get stuck when I have to type in my password. It accepts it but nothing happens...
I guess it has something to do with the authorization process, but can't find anything on the internet about it... Can you help me out?
I am running Lion 10.7.3.

You probably won't like this suggestion, but I suggest you reinstall Lion.
First, backup your system. Next, reboot your system, press/hold the COMMAND-R keys to boot into the Recovery HD. Select 'Reinstall Mac OS X'. If you purchased Lion as an upgrade to Snow Leopard, the reinstall process will install Lion 10.7.3. If your system came preinstalled with Lion, you might still get Lion 10.7.2. Both installs are a total install of the OS. None of your apps or data will be impacted. Just the OS.

Need help with a terminal command

Ever since Lion, or maybe even earlier, I am fighting a losing battle against memory leaks on my MacBook Pro. Safari for example takes over time 2GB+ for just 2 or 3 tabs open with almost no extensions active. Really strange.
Someone told me about the "purge" command in Terminal to free some of the sequestered memory, so I am doing this a few times a day to be able to use Photoshop, Keynote, Premiere and other stuff concurrently without opening and closing apps like I did 10 or 15 years ago, remember those days?
So here are my 2 questions:
Will this frequent "purge" command harm anything in the long run?
If no, is it possible to automate this "purge" Terminal action somehow? Maybe a desktop icon to click, or fully automated? I am a designer, not a coder, so I would need help with that.

It would block usage of all the startup keys, like C, N, T, D, CMD+s, CMD+Option+p+r, CMD +v, Option, and Shift, as well as booting from anything but the Hard Drive.
Force Removing Password Protection
1) Add or remove DIMMs to change the total amount of RAM in the computer.
2) Then, the PRAM must be reset 3 times. (Command + Option + P + R).

Just before letting changes (installation in this case) be made on the system, Mac OS prompts for password & this has to be the Mac system password. This password prompt is the system's own native prompt & would accept the system password only. Please make sure it is the right system password (all/admin rights) and the installaion should run.

I really need help with re-activating my little sisters iPad, i already set it up a couple of months ago when i bought it,but unfortunately she disabled it by forgetting her password. i followed the necessary steps to reset it again, when the iPad came back on and we put the apple id and password it kept refusing it, i even reset the password, which sent the verification the email account, i followed the steps to reset, But then i noticed the message at the top of the activate screen with the message “this iPad is currently linked to the following apple ID _______ with a a few hidden dashes, but at the end of the email it says co.uk, but the problem is the email ends with .com. I have no idea how this happened, and its driving me insane and my little sister only used her iPad for a month before this happened. for some reason the the iPad email address ends in co.uk when the actual email ends with .com

I desperately need help with Mail, specifically sending

For Starters: I am on OSX 10.9.2 and am trying to use mail 7.2.

I cannot send. I have been at this for hours and hours and hours. Here are the details.
my mail server however is s1.sistercompany.net
I can receive email just fine. I can also send mail just find having set this up on my iphone and also in thunderbird (which i hate hate hate hate hate hate hate, which is why I am desperate to set up mail)
The settings in thunderbird are as follows:
Servername: s1.sistercompany.net
port: 465
Authentication method: normal password
Connection Security: SSL/TLS
However, I just can't get this to work in Mail. When I write an email and hit send I get a popup that says:
Cannot send message using the server s1.sistercompany.net
The certifcate for this server is invalid.
Now, my tech guy says yeah the certifacte is invalid because you are going through sistercompany server, there should be some way to just accept the certifcate anyway (but he has never used mail before).
So I have serached around and come up with this: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11706
Which tells me to use the verify certificate dialogue, which I would do except there is no verify certificate dialog. Any thoughts?

I don't have a problem watching the Lost episode on abc.com, using a stock MacBook with 512MB RAM. I don't know what technology abc.com uses in their viewer, but I have Flip4Mac and the latest version of Flash player installed.
