Need info for Implementing Service Analytics

My clicnet is planing to implementing service analytics, i would like to know the procedure is that where to start what to needs to be install.
We are going to use sibel applications and what are the things to taken care while installing a BI Apps for service analytics. We are plaing to instal 7.9.6.3

Best practice for implementing services

I am doing some testing with implementing webservices and i am wondering what it the best way...
First some background about the project. The idea is that the user interfaces uses webservices for almost everything. The complete datalayer is created somewhere else and i just use those services. For example i have a WSDL that holds the UserServices. It describes the service for creating,updating,deleting, getUserByCompany, getUserByKey and some other stuff.
As far as i can see, i have 2 options in JDev
1) Create a datacontrol based upon the WSDL. This way i can easily drag&drop the services and use the databindings.
I'm afraid that this approach is not that flexibel. It isn't realy easy to update the DC once the WSDL has been changed.
I have a popup to edit/create a user. It also does not seem easy to implement this because when i open the popup for create, my input fields should be bound to the parameters for the createService but when i open the popup to edit a user, those fields should be bound to the editService instead. This does not look easy...
Also, the table that lists the users depends on the role of the user. When an admin request the page with the user table, he must see all the users but when another user request the page, he can only see the users from his company so we have 2 services for this: getUsers (gets all the users) and getUsersByCompany so here also, my table can be bound to 2 services... Does not seem to be easy to implement.
2) The second way of implementing services is using a proxy. This seems way more flexible. I just creates a java interface to call the service. This way i can create my own pojo's and create a DC from that.
This way i can create a function getUsers(String company). When i drop that to my page, i can bind the company parameter to a backing bean. THis way i can write some logic in the pojo based upon the value. If company is null i return the result of the getUser service, else i use the getUsersByCompany service instead.
It's also very easy to regenerate the proxy if the wsdl has been changed. Somethign that isn't possible with the first way.
What do you do when you use webservices this way? If their any difference in performance?

You got it basically right.
With the proxy approach you write get code that wraps your calls to the Web service - and this allows you to do various modifications on how the service is called, what to do with the results etc.

Need solution for SNMP Service on Solaris

Hi Friends,
We use the solaris servers. For SNMP we have changed the Default Password of SNMP Service.
We audited our Servers doing the Penetration Testing (PT). In this activity it was reported the SNMP is using the default password. They had the tool "Getif" for SNMP testing. If the default password are set for SNMP service this toll reads the important information. If defaults passwords are not used it cannot read any information about SNMP.
When i change the default password for SNMP, should i restart the the service to take changes in effect?

I have two more doubts. Like in linux we use which command to see if that executable is in the PATH but in Solaris 10 is whence a replacement for that.I belive You can use which command in solaris too.
Q2). I dont think i need to go for split architecture as both the DB (11i) and application tier are certified for solaris *10* SPARC (64-bit).You should decide it not me :) you can use split config if your business need it or not. Its just depend your analysis

Contact info for customer service?

I purchased a FormsCentral Teams plan for my nonprofit. The product is great, but the customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. I'm getting triple-billed and I seem to have also lost my Teams plan in the process. The representatives on the "chat" were completely unhelpful, and, after waiting an hour for customer service on the phone, the person I spoke to was barely comprehensible and, in any event, said someone would have to get back to me and never did.
Does anyone have an e-mail address for Customer Service? Perhaps if I spelled out the problems in one e-mail it would work better. Or should I just write an old fashioned letter to corporate HQ?

Need info for service pack

We are woking in one JDBC scenario and we are not able to connect to SQL 2008 system.
We have XI 3.0 version. we have basis to redeploy the driver that is also not working.
Now Basis is suggesting to apply Service pack. Currently we are on SP14 and they want to apply SP20 or 21.
Please suggest that is it advisble to apply SP also?

I have a ZEN Micro and I've recently purchased a new laptop with Vista. Yep, that old chestnut. I've read a few postings but feel I need some more info. I currently have the latest firmware on the Micro ..0 and I've uninstalled the CD software but still my Zen is not compatible. When I plug the usb in the Zen fires up and the computer wants to install the relevant software, it then searches for software to download, doesn't find it and suggests contacting Creative. So, why does it still not recognise my Zen and what software should I have on the computer to access the media files?

If you open "Configure Measurement.vi" and look at the help for the absolute resolution control you'll see a good description that includes:

If you look at the help of the Range parameter you'll find see a similar discription with details and the following:

Based on this, can you try setting the auto-range to -2 and specifying the absoulte resolution?

my case, however, I want to custom-color some circles in a
PlotChart.
I don't need a repeeating scheme, though. I need to be able
to choose the color based on information about the data itself. The
data originates from an HTTPService, and so each item is on Object.
Thus, I attempted to dynamically assign a property to the Object in
my app code, and then access that property within my programmatic
skin (which extends ProgrammaticSkin and implements IDataRenderer).
Does anyone know how to get information from within such a
programmatic skin?
The easy workaround here was to use three different series
and put data into the appropriate series, but this won't have the
desired visual effect with a ColumnChart, which I must also
implement.

Found it. You get access back to the object with
PlotSeriesItem.item -- the item property.

Need guidence for implementing relationship in a DataBase

I am required to implement a component for my current project . This component basically defines relationships between tables in a database.
This component is similar to realtionship feature as provided in MSACESS database.
I need to move tables ans maintain the links defining inner and outer joins.
I have thought of using JInternalFrames to display table data, so that i can move the tables and I am using Java2D API to darw line between two JInternalFrames.
Kindly let me know if My approach will work or if any body has implemented same kind of componet???
DO we have any tools availabl which i can integrate with my project to define relationships??

You could also call transaction CV01N,
- create a document selecting a correct document type, then
- Originals tab, select the icon - Open Originals, select the path of the Picture and attach the picture.
- Object Links Tab, select the option - Material Master and attach the Material Number to this Document.
Now the picture is attached to the particular Material Number and when you access the MM02/MM03 transaction, on to the additional data screen, tab Document data. System will list the documents attached to this Material. Select the document with the Description as you given earlier and click on Icon Display Original, system will display the Picture.
You could also add pictures via the GOS Generic object servicess icon on transaction MM01/MM02.

Quick Start Guide Info not working. Need info for Job Interview

I am brand spanking new to Java but I have a job interview next week and this is one of the topics I need to learn a little about. Here is my issue if someone would kind enough to help.
I downloaded and installed SDK and JDK I am going through the quick start guide I am using the Quick Start guide that comes with Application Server PE 9. The quick start guide requires you to download a "Tutorial Bundle" that comes with the Java EE 5 Tutorial.
The Quick start guide then tells you to access certain files that are in the Tutorial bundle. For example it wants me to go to /Samples/Quickstart directory in the tutorial bundle and look for the hello.war. Unfortunately that directory and file does not exist (there is an /examples/web/hello1 directory but no hello.war
Long story short is there anyway to find a Tutorial Bundle that actually works with the software that I downloaded? Thanks in advance for your help

I need help for printing service in Java
