Not that it was ever very effective. But, better than nothing.
I'm beginning to see a number of posts with questions and responses that don't belong here, but in the appropriate forum (to which they haven't yet been moved.) I would like to see this forum still reserved for discussions or doesn't-fit-elsewhere feedback only.
I'm seeing one post with replies, which is almost a day old; it hasn't been moved.
I can understand wanting to help someone and not let their question langish, but I wouldn't want to see this become too common.

If they don't agree, they (you) can choose to do what they want. I'm not suggesting any limits on what people can say here; that's their right completely. But, some may, perhaps, see the correctness -- or not -- in the suggestion (not demand) I made, which, if it wasn't made, they might not even begin to consider.
My remarks were not intended to inhibit people from making any response to someone who mistakenly posts here. I believe I suggested they could refer the poster to the appropriate forum. Again, how or in what fashion, someone chooses to respond is entirely up to them.
It would have been over the top if I had been in any way scolding, but my remarks and tone were far from that.
If this forum bears any semblance to the euphemistically named "community," these kinds of disagreements are inherent in the very nature of any community and I'm ready to live with that.
If someone mistakenly posts a technical question in the wrong technical forum, I usually answer their question, anyway, if possible -- I'm not a sticker, or hardass, as some may be, when that occurs. But, I think the nature of this particular forum suggests a different approach.
Of course, the ultimate decision rests with the hosts.

This is what I think did happen because I am still able to do those things in Internet Explorer.
E.g. Opening a website I don't see all images, can't use all tabs.
I also cleared Caches in Extra. (I use Windows XP.) I tried to restore things within Tweak Now.
So how can I make more space in the Mozilla Database Files.

Not a good idea to use external programs like that to mess with Firefox files, those programs somehow manage to break more than they ever fix. Windows system restore does its' fair share of messing Firefox up, too. And reinstalling Firefox doesn't fix a b0rked Profile, unless you remove it when you uninstall Firefox.

Firefox is highly customizable and you may be able to customize it to meet your needs.

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

Deleting the backup only permanently deletes the backup from iCloud. It doesn't do anything to the data currently in your account or on your devices. To delete it, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of the device that you want to delete the backup for, then tap Delete Backup.
You can't see anything in an iCloud backup, if that's want you're asking. You can only restore it to your device. You can, of course, see your other iCloud data.

The other part of the upgrade message was a warning that once you upgraded you would no longer be able to open the library with the old version which is exaclty what you did and what happened when you choose to continue
The iphoto library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto. Your photo library will not be readable by previous versions of iphoto after the upgrade. The upgrade process may take several minutes depending on the number of photos in the library. Cancel or upgrade.
So now your choices are to not use iPhoto with the previous version using it onky with the newer version, restore your backup from before you did this upgrade or purchase iPhoto Library Manager and use it to rebuild the library using the older version of iPhoto (instructions are on their web site) thereby downgrading it (without projects)

Did bug fix for add-ons after downloading new version. FB games do not work & add-ons still gone. I want the old version back. How can I do this?

Downloaded version 7 today. All add-ons are gone, not disabled, but gone. The bug fix offered in this instance tells me to go look for updates. I have, and I'm totally up to date, so now I don't know what to do. The add-ons are still gone, and my games in FB are also malfunctioning. I click on a button in the game and nothing happens. I can't even play them like this. I have playing all morning, and this only happened AFTER I updated to the latest Firefox browser 7. Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

We spent a lot of time designing the new interface. In our user testing the majority of our users felt like it was a big improvement and it really streamlined the browser. Did you take the onboarding tour? It shows you how the new firefox works. It's actually got all of the old features + a ton more. What specifically don't you like about the change? That might help.
That being said, we really care about all of our users and not just the majority vote ;) Firefox is '''SO CUSTOMIZABLE''' that if you really really want the old look back you can do it with one quick step. No. Not unless you did a backup that included that voice memo, then you could restore from that backup.

How can I get the old version back, because this new is so poor, it doesn't work. My curcor doesn't appeart and can use secont tab.

First you'll need to download the old version from here.

Once you have chosen your language and operating system type then download it from the list on that page.
Next you will have to uninstall the current version of Firefox by using the add/remove programs option under control panel. After the current Firefox has been removed you can then run the installer for the old version. Using this method will not save your bookmarks or any addon's/extensions so make sure you have a list of the addon's you want to get back and you can also backup your bookmarks from within your current version of Firefox prior to removing it.
Do note that some extensions that you may have installed were installed by 3rd party programs and they will not be reinstalled until the program that installed them has been either updated or reinstalled as well.

Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. i rest firefox to solve adobe flash problem. I now have a new view to my homepage. On the old one youtube maps etc showed along the top of the page( not the toolbar) just at the top of the page. Now it is just google and nothing else.

Could you try disabling graphics hardware acceleration? Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

The profile will automatically be added back again when you connect to the network again. Here, I assume that you have a check mark in the box next to Remember networks this computer has joined.
If the box is checked and the network does not appear, then there may be an operating system problem with your Mac.
That would be beyond the scope of what we handle here with the AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme or Time Capsule, so you would want to post in the appropriate operating system community to follow up on that.

First, back up your old iphone manually:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your phone without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your old phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the phone for the first time.

After that, connect your new phone and let iTunes set it up. iTunes will detect the old 3G backup and ask you, if you want to use it to restore the info on your new iphone. If you agree, all settings and data will be present after the process is finished.
