Need to include Arabic language on PDF files

I would like to create PDF files that include Arabic text to distribute them to employees in my organisation.
Currently most of the work station have installed Adobe Reader v6.
From what I understand there is an option available with version 8, to include the Arabic font (extended font pack) On-demand with the PDF file.
Does any one know if this is also available to version 6? since I wouldn't want to reinstall Adobe Reader on all of the workstations?

well, I guess I wasn't very clear, the documents have forms that I need the receivers to fill out. currently they are able to read them but not to interact with them.
The following is from the Adobe Reader site, but seems only applicable to version 8

but after the new installation with this folder is completely empty and I am still
unable to open these pdf.

I misunderstood. You want to print the entire email in a way that looks decent.
Most email sites have a "printable view" link or button. This may be in an obscure location. For example, on Outlook.com, it is on the ... menu (last item on the menu bar when viewing a message).
If you want to PDF the email, you can print it to a PDF printer driver. Examples include:

I think you are asking in the wrong place. These forums are for discussion of Adobe products and how to use them (including develop with them). Certainly, Adobe won't share their source code.
If you want to implement decryption for yourself, the full details of most PDF encryption are in ISO 32000-1. Not a simple task, especially if you are not already immersed in encryption technobabble.

Need help linking to an external PDF file

How can I create a link inside my robohelp project that links to a PDF file that has NOT been copied into the project. I am looking for a link with a relative path in the event the files may someday need to be moved.

Microsoft's HTML Help documentation includes a script with which you can link to an external file. See:

This opens the external file in the topic pane of the Help viewer. If you'd rather open the file in its native application (Acrobat or Adobe Reader, in your case), you'd need to use a script like this one:

I have Windows 98 and need Acrobat to open up the pdf files for 5.0

I have the old system, Windows 98 and presently have the free Adobe 5.0 version on my Compaq Presario Computer, and it is a 5242 model desktop.
I have inadvertanly switched over to Compaq Carbon Copy 32 Version 5.0 but since, have uninstalled it and now, on each of what was the pdf files initially of which I have, of which is at least 16 or more, on each of those files, an error message comes up and says "PROGRAM NOT FOUND," and states the following: "Windows cannot find CCW32EXE. This program is needed for opening the pdf files." And then it has a dialogue box with the computer operational symbol in it as C:\ and then it wants me to locate it. I cannot locate it through the "auto" because, this sytem being so old, doesn't have a magnifying glass or a "search" tool to do this in the "My Computer Icon on the Desktop as the Compaq people wanted me to do. I would have to do this manually. I have already talked to the Compaq people on their chat line and because of this, they said they couldn't help me with this problem and referred me over to you.
I've tried to find a download for 5.0, though I really don't think I need one since it is currently installed. I believe the proper way to fix this is to just convert the CCW32EXE over to the Acrobat pdf files and have those files opened and should open up all of my 15 or so files altogether at the same time because they all converted over to something else at the same time prior.
Are you able to help me?
But I believe to alleviate this problem, if you could just give me the information to be able to open up the pdf files to 5.0 and find out what download I may pursue, it might be able to correct this problem. I already have the 5.0 Acrobat installed, however.

I have followed your directions and I have the old system of Windows 98, so I had to go to "programs" and come up to Acrobat 5.0 and once in there, all of the Window there is greyed out, although I can still go to the tool bars above in it. I went to "file" and went to "open" and from there, I received an "open" window with a dialogue box in it and in that dialogue box as I scrolled down, it wants me to put in there, one of the following, "desktop," "my documents," "3 1/2 floppy [A:]," "[C:]," "system _save [D:]," ""[E:," "[F:]," ete; of these which do I pick in the "open" dialogue box? and down at the bottom, is the FILE NAME and what do I put in there? Just below that, it has the FILES OF TYPE which has there Adobe pdf Files, in it's dialogue box. I hit these, but I still get an error message of which basically says, "NOT FOUND, please put in proper file name given." And I don't know actually where it is given.
So, as you see, I am a novice in all of this and you can contact me at my e mail address which is [email protected]
and should a reply be needed, I'll come back to the forum for a reply.
I really need to open up the Adobe 5.0 pdf files. All of the pdf files, simultaneously went over to Compaq Carbon Copy 32 of which I since, uninstalled. But I really need to get back and open the Adobe 5.0 pdf files.

Now, I did do one of the following: I went to C: which came to Acobat 3 and I hit that which came to Reader and I hit that which came to the following: ACROBAT which gave me ACTIVE X - BROWSER - FONTS - HELP - OPTIONAL - PLUG-INS

As for TXT files, that depends what the contents are and what you are intending to do with them, though if you need some general access to a text file (that isn't structured like CSV) then you'd probably use the UTL_FILE package "line by line" or "chunk by chunk" or read the text file directly into a CLOB and process it there.
As for PDF files, these are considered binary files, so you would typically store them in the database as a BLOB datatype and load them in a similar way to CLOB's using the BFILE method.
But before we give you any specific answers, it's better if you explain exactly what it is you are trying to achieve.

I am not very sure of that however as per my knowledge , you can use Adobe send service and provide public link to your users and then after 48 hrs you can delete the file from server and make File-link inaccessible.

Need help in regards to combining pdf files.

I have created multiple pdf files (pages). I am merging the files to create one document and do not want to create a package. I want one continuous file. I have done this before without any problems, both using the combine files feature and manualing inserting pages. Several pages have the same "text field" name so that when I type data onto page one, it will duplicate onto subsequent pages with the same field names. Like I said this has never been a problem, but now I am experiencing a roadblock. Now, when I merge the pages together, any field that is duplicated on subsequent pages, has its name arbitrarily renamed by Adobe and when I click on text field to rename, the change will not save. I am using Adobe Acrobat 8.0 Pro. Any help will be appreciated.

Need to print Xcelsius dashboard to pdf file

I have a customer that wants to be able to print a displayed dashboard to a pdf file. Does anyone know if there are custom components that can do this or be created to do this? We have suggested they install a print to pdf utility as a selectable printer but they don't want to do that. When a dashboard is displayed they want to be able to print directly to a pdf file.

I will mention this to the team. I don't think our customer would want it that way but who knows. Currently they have a Flex framework with our dashboards inside of their framework. They have a print to pdf button for their flex scorecard and feel it should be easy enough for us to create the same thing in our dashboards. We don't use flex in our environment. Their flex stuff is on their servers and our dashboards are on our servers. We may be moving everything to our side of the house soon so a lot of things might change. When I tried to test our dashboards as exported to pdf I ran into security problems with some Adobe parts of the whole thing. We have a lot of Adobe stuff locked down because of security concerns. Being a defense contractor that's a way of life.

Need to create access to a pdf file from IOS Home Screen

I need to be able to do this for a company executive. I thought it would be straightforward using GoodReaders "gropen:\\" command in Safari and using "Add to Home Screen". Problem is, as soon as I enter the gropen command it goes to GoodReader, before I can add to Home Screen. I have tried hitting the "stop" X - but I am never fast enough. There seems to be no way to edit a Home Screen shortcut url. Any ideas? I have 24 mours to ficure this out before I admit defeat. Help!
