Need to Match Result in Report to Data Provider

Hi!
My report is using an Excel file to populate my "Payout" data provider. The data provider has the following values
Performance/Payment/Level
10 pt /5% /1
15 pt /7% /2
My report is calculating a performance of 12 pt which I am trying to match against the "Payout" data provider to get the Payment of 5%. Is this possible in DeskI and if so how?
Any help you can provide will be appreciated.

Hi,
If the number of payment levels is not to big you might concider to put them on one line in the excel file.
Like:
level 1 points | level 1 percentage | level 2 points | level 2 percentage
10 | 5 | 15 | 7
When you read that into BusinessObjects you can then assign the percentages by using the formula:
=If <performance> < <level 1 points> Then 0 Else If <performance> < <level 2 points> Then <level 1 percentage>

when you insert a data provider, it automatically creates a Report section. If you start with report section, then you still need to add data provider to it.

You can include Report from report designer using Report designer webitem in BI 7.0. But you can't create report designer report in WAD as DATA PROVIDER.

Need to sort results in a report in descending order

Hi,
We have OIM 10g and we need to sort the report on date in descending order. I tried this code but still the column is not getting sorted.
Evertime I generate the report, the results are sorted only in ascending order.
Here the stored procedure code for sorting:
strOrderByClause := 'abc.date';
IF strsortorder_in = 'DESC' THEN
intSortDirection_in := 0;
ELSE
intSortDirection_in := 1;
END IF;
Please let me know if you have faced similar issue.

Hi,
If Oracle can give you back the right sort order without any custom sorting,
that means you should be able to get the same results in WebI.
If the object that you pull from the universe is the wrong type (like numeric but you want it alphanumeric),
then you can either request you designer to give you an object with the right data type,
or you can change it by creating a report variable using
FormatNumber([original object],"0")
this will format the number to a number without leading zeroes, thousand separators or decimal point.
Now you can use the object as if it came from the universe.
So you can also use it on the x-axis of a chart.
Btw. you can also do a custom sort on the x-axis(as long as it is an object or variable, not a formula)
alternative, if you define a custom sort in a table block, you can state it should be used througout the document.
(so also in the charts.

Sales orders Dispatch Actual No of pipes do not match with R3 report

Issue: For some of the sales orders Dispatch Actual No of pipes do not match with R3 report. Actual No of Pipes matches with LIKP table values in R3. Query needs to be modified to restrict records as per logic in WGSRLDES report/program.

Drill down value not matching with Displayed Report Painter Issue-GR55

Hi,
Need your help for an issue in drill down value of report painter from actual cost coloumn.
I have created a new report group based on OSS Note-157720 in GR55 Traction. This new report group will provide data of Planed / Actual cost, Planned / Actual Quantity of the project in range of fiscal year/periods. The issue in this report is displayed data of actual cost is not matching with drill down data. The actual cost coloumn is formula coloumn which framed by subtracting All periods cost coloumn, Before Periods Cost Coloumn and After periods cost coloumn.
Could you suggest on this issue.

The report you are running first might have been created with some hidden columns that contain more than one variables relating to period and fiscal year. These may not be matching those that are required to run the drilldown. Look into the definition of the drilldown report. If you would want to match the first report, It may be better to identify which report runs on drilldown and the run that report with the required parameters.

Grand total values are not matching with Detail report

Report has grand totals and when I drill to the detail report, grand total values are NOT matching with parent report totals, I did some analysis but I'm clueless on this issue.

is your summary and detail reports hitting different facts, like summary hitting aggregate and detail report hitting it's corresponding detail level fact..?
if then,
From Front-end:
Fix the filter values in detail report that are passing from master report then try delete each columns then check the grand total. If you found your values is matching by deleting particular column then you need to investigate what is the issue around with that dimension table..
From Database side:
1. check first aggregate table has proper aggregate data of it's detail..
2. Take the detail report obiee generated query and try to comment each dimension table and it's corresponding joins to the facts, (before, this delete all the dimensional columns and other measures from select statement and put only that measure where you are getting wrong value, so that you need not to comment all the select and group by columns which saves your time.. ). Need to check by commenting each dimensional wid and it's table from clause, if you found that values is matching then there is some problem with wid columns data population in your ETL.

I am having a issue with upload file of reported financial data. Even thoughthe structure of file matches with that given in Flex upload, the system ignores all rows. A SAP note suggested to apply a patch and even after that the result is same. Any suggestions...

As posted, this include every month that is actually in the table. You can change the first sub-query if you want to enter first and last months.

How to generate a report from data entered by users in XML forms

i have a requirement to generate report from xml forms which are created using XML forms Builder and stored in Km folders. management want to see in a single report all the activities of all the users in the xml form in such a way that one row in the report presents data blongs to each user. i have no idea regarding this.

Hi Sajeer,
You have given quite few information what data should be collected / showed in detail. Anyhow, it sounds as if you want to provide data which isn't provided within the standard portal so far (see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/07/dad131443b314988eeece94506f861/frameset.htm for a list of existing reports).
For your needs you probably have to develop a repository service which reacts on content / property changes and then you would have to log these changes somewhere, for example in a DB. On the other side, you then could implement a report iView which accesses this data and displays it as whished.

Capacity Utilization Reports no data

Hi all, starting a new thread as none of the similar threads have been able to resolve my issue.
We have System Center 2012 SP1 on Server 2012, SCOM VMM, SM, Orchestrator, App Controller etc.
When I run the Capacity Utilization report I only have data returned for PIF, Net transfer, Capacity Utilization and Dick IO all return;
No data available. Possible causes include::
The performance rules for the report have not been enabled in the VMM Reports MP.
No computers match your selection criteria.
I am adding the Hyper-V host to the report, I have also added the Windows server objects to the report.
The SCOM host has the execution policy set to Unrestricted as per one post I have found. Pro Tips do work when tested.

If I look at the monitoring views I see performance data against the Hosts.

set-executionpolicy Unrestricted

AP Aging report - key date for user entry

Hi All,
We have a requirement to calculate aging buckets like 0-30,31-60,61-90...etc.
I know the key date for this report is created on net due date in SAP standard report.
In standard SAP report , key date is always a system date(SY-DATUM).
What we need for this report is , we need to get all the invoices which are outstanding as of that date(the date which user enters).
If user enters today's date(08/28/07) , he should get all the invoices outstanding till that date in aging buckets and if user enters some date in the past like 07/26/07, he should get all the invoices outstanding as of that date.
Can someone Pls tell me if aging buckets are calculated based on a user entry ?

Aging in the standard report is being calculated like below...
1.For open items
Posting date<key date
Item status = O
2.Posting date < keydate and clearing date > key date and net due date with offsets on keydate ( key date + 1 - keydate+30 --- for 1-30 days) like wise for all aging buckets.
in this scenarion , key date is always system date ie today's date.
But user wants to get all the invoices based on his user entry...
is this possible with the same standard key date variable or do we need implement any other logic???

I am creating a report from a series of inputs using a customizable date range. I need to select a start and end date (i was going to use two calendars for that) and place the data from the range into a pivot table. Any help on how to do this would be
