Need to perform an inter facility mass asset transfer

We have a custom program to perform mass asset transfers between facilities in different company codes. However, we now need to perform mass asset transfers between facilities in the same company code. Is there anything standard that can handle mass inter facility asset transfers?

Please try OA02 - Maintain substitution for Mass change and create your own substitution.
Then use AR01 to generate the worklist. Enter the assets to be changed and create the work list.
Go to AR31, enter the worklist number and release it.
Check whether this works for you or not.

Mass Asset Transfer

We need to transfer 11,000 assets to a new company code. I've created the worklist in AR01, created the substitution rules to populate the new cost centers, and processed through AR31. Does anybody know what the following errors are referencing or why we're receiving them?
1. Error in sub transient work item 'Intercompany Asset Transfer' (Message # SWF_RUN817)
2. Asset 1010 INTERN-00001-1 is incomplete, check asset (I think this one is related to a a missing required field).
3. Error handling for work item 229478 (Message no. SWF_RUN630)

I had a similar requirement in my project as well. Besides others one of the options that exists in such cases is creating a worklist and then a substitution rule . But we felt it was best to apply the OSS note no 851357. It then worked for us, maybe you could try it too.

Mass Intracompany asset transfer

We need to change the account assignment on multiple asset records. Is there a way to perform a mass intracompany transfer?

In ABUMN screen we have a push button Multiple Assets in Application Tool Bar. Pleae try with it.

1. We have 7000 assets which needs to a Mass Intercompany Asset transfer
2. Depreciation has been booked to the above assets till Dec 2010 and business wants to transfer to another intercompany and dont want to have any depreication booked in the existing company code for the month of Jan 2011
3. Master data for the transferrable asset needs to be created in the new company with the left over life
4. Balance showing in the existing company books on those assets will get paid by the other company so that there is no loss/gain posting on the asset in the existing company accounts.
5. Once transaction is done: Depreciation will be calculated in the new company.
Suggest the steps and transaction codes that i need to follow

Question: i see multiple assets in Tcode ABT1N but its greyed out, how to open the field. You mean LSMW using recording one asset transfer using ABT1N? Could you please eloborate on this option

Ans) Confirm from client Acc dep values req or not. Or they want only new values in new comp code.
Question: They want new values in the new company code but the new asset in the new company code will have the balance useful life ( like original life was 5 years out of 3 years were used and now transferred to the new company so the new company will charge only 2 years)

Ans) with transfer asset values system automatically creates new asset no with values while selecting New Asset radio button
Question: We have the same number range in both company codes and when i click new asset it is giving errors for transaction types. So is the other option is first create asset master record in the other company and then use the same asset as exisiting asset for transfer.

Ans) you transfer assets , not sale or scrap. System will transfer assets with as on date values. No accounting entries loss or gain.
Question: We have straight line half year rule, so is there any way we can switch off this rule while transferring the asset.

Ans) this is standard practice system automatically updated asset de-activation field in old comp asset master, dep post only new comp code.
Question: Now Business wants to transfer AUC (asset under construction ) assets also, is there a way to do this and what will be the impact?

I do not want to purchase a monitor and keyboard as the unit will sit in a cupboard out of sight. Can I pair my macair to it for when I need to perform updates and maintenance ?

I have a 2010 Mac Mini running Yosemite and Server which I use
as a headless home server.
I have is set up to allow screen sharing and can connect to it and
control it with my iMac, Macbook Pro, iPhone, and a 2011 Mini Server
that I use as an HTPC.

I have iTunes Home Sharing set up on it and have my entire iTunes
library on it. I can then use any of my Macs to play Movies or Songs
from it and only keep locally a select subset of that on my individual
devices.
Rather than and update server, I utilize Server's Caching Service. The caching
server will duplicate any update download (system or MacApp Store purchases)
any time a device that is connected to my network down loads one. The update will
then be stored locally and all other devices will download the update from it which
can be faster than from Apple directly. This has the advantage of only having to download
once with limited bandwidth internet connections. There is also an Update Server service
available, but it is some what more involved in setting up. However, it will download
and store all available updates.
There is another thing as well if you do not care for syncing things like Contacts, Calendar, etc.
to iCloud, you can set Server up to sync these items across devices locally.

Mass asset retirement Error

Hello, all.
i had create the worklist in AR01(asset balance) for mass asset retiremen.
( task is retirement without revenue)
and then,
i had released it in AR31.(edit worklist)
but, it was occured the error.
these assets' acquisition year is current year, so i had input '250' as transactio type.
error message is.
000 Error in sub transient work item 'retirement without revenue'
001 Company code 1000: Asset 000000000205/0000
001 Choose transaction type and base value appropriate for asset values
001 Error handling for work item 000000386109
do i config something in IMG for worklist or mass retirement??
i have found them,,, but i couldn't find it.
would you give the solution?

Go to transaction SWU_OBUF and sync the buffer.
Then try again.

How to shrink this LOB and what steps need to perform.

one of our production database having one table i that table having 320 gb LOB in one column
can you please suggest how to shrink this LOB and what steps need to perform.
during shrinkg of LOB how much undo tablespace is require,and does it create more archive log because LOB size is 320gb.
this table having function based index also.so we will not shrink it.
we need to release the space from database this in only big LOB out of my DATABASE its took approx. 80%.
there is any way we can reclame this space with less time.
please suggest how to do this and how much downtime is required.

Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download <a href="http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/"><b><u>iPhoto Library Manager</b></u></a> and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 08* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

Go to T.code ABT1N
1. Give transferring cocode and asset number that you want to transfer
2. Give the cocode to which you want to transfer and select whether you want to transfer to an exisiting asset or create a new asset
3. Maintain Acquisition from affiliated company and clear revenue sale to affiliated company accounts in AO90 for the contaicode to which u r transferring.
4. Maintain Company for both the company codes in OBY6

Have you tried to use tools like LSMW or CATT ?
It is relatively very easy using transaction SCAT to record with tcode ABT1N. Let me know if it helped.

ProcessFull - Simple to digest, applies all objects which means it discards the storage contents of the object and rebuilds them.
ProcessIndexes - Applies to dimension, cube, measure group, and partition.
Since you did process full on each measure groups, I don't think you need do a processindex, here are some links about process options on Analysis Services for your reference.

Once you install RAM into Mac book, do I just turn it back on? Do I need to perform some type of action?

I received some great replies concerning my increasing the RAM on my laptop. From the information gathered I was able to gather more information and am curious as to what and if there are more steps besides the ones I've listed below:
1. Power off
2. Take battery cover off.
3. Remove battery cover.
4. Remove battery.
5. Remove 3 screws.
6. Remove L bracket.
7. Remove RAM(2 sticks of 512MB).
8. Install new RAM(2 sticks of 1GB).
9. Insure the new RAM is snug into the slot.
10.Reverse the process.
Now at this point do I just power it back up or do I need to perform some other type of action.

Just turn it back on. The MacBook will automaticly recognize the new RAM.
If the MacBook doesn't turn on the RAM may not be the right speed for a Mac. Macs are very finicky about RAM. Much more so than PCs. The way to test that would be to put one of the old RAM sticks back in one slot and start up.
